Victoria Beckham Dispatched David to Fetch Her a Single Carrot: Romantic or Tragic?

Victoria and David Beckham have been together for a long time now — long enough to know each other's quirks. So David must know by now that when Victoria gets a craving  for a carrot, nothing will do besides a carrot. And he'll do what it takes to see his wife's wish fulfilled. (We understand this concept — if you sub in cupcake for carrot.) This is not a hypothetical situation, by the way. It actually went down ... Down Under. 

The couple is reportedly spending some time in Sydney, where they've been hitting up a spot called Fresh Blend on the regular, although we assume they'll stop that now that this story has gone viral. Alas.

Anyway, according to its Instagram feed, the eatery serves everything from avocado toast to salads and acai bowls. But what good old Posh Spice wants is none of the above.

The owner of the cafe, Katrina Magill, shared with a local news outlet that David recently came into the cafe while his wife was waiting outside in the car. The world-famous soccer star ordered acai bowls for his boys. Then: “David said that his wife absolutely loves the carrots in Australia — and his only request was that I peel it. So I cut it up into carrot sticks, popped it into a cup — and he took it out to the car where she was sitting!”

She also had this to say about the whole clan: "The family are the most gracious and well-mannered people, and David was incredibly friendly.”
