Helping Matthew Be Heard
Kandi explains the ups and downs of working with Matthew and Mujjy this week.
Apr 16This week was one of those weeks where I just couldn't wait to get through it. Because, OK, we had Matthew, who was a pleasure to work with, but then we had "Mujjy," so I thought, we need to write you a whole new song, because clearly you can't handle this other song. It just was a mess from Day 1.
My goodness, she had so many issues and craziness to deal with. Like, she's throwing me off. Matthew on the other hand: he's a great-looking guy, his personality is awesome, and I know girls will love him (because I'm even checking, like, OK he's hot). In my mind, I'm like, okay, how come no one has ever discovered Matthew? He should be out already, he's hot, he's dope. . .until rehearsal day.
And with Mujjy, I just wanted to get through her performance. But she looked pretty. She tried to step it up as best she could on stage, I’ll give her that. Matthew still was way better than Mujjy. Overall, he knows who he is as an artist. I mean, he has all the elements, he just needs more time to get out there and be seen and heard be the world, and that's what The Kandi Factory's here for: we're just going to help him be seen and heard by everybody.

Kandi, Kandi, that video was so entertaining. It showed off his rapping skills and his acting skills at the same time. It was also funny. It seemed like a real situation. He is really adjusted (cool). I think that he is ready, but you or someone like LA Reid is going to have to help him. Great job.

I am still so amazed that you can write songs so quickly....what a gift of a talent you have...and your team is so good. I do not envy having to be you and choose....I would probably have chosen the girl because I felt for her....but it would not have been for the correct reason. I love your new show........

This is an amazing show!!!! I appreciate how different it is from the other talent shows....especially the fact that Kandi writes the songs herself so the contestants are singing all original music....that in itself is just CRAZY AWESOME!!!!!!! It is mouth dropping to see these unknown artists progress in only a few days to a polished product from A to Z. Kandi and her whole team are über talented and beyond SPECTACULAR!!! I cant wait to check out the performances on iTunes. I wish the best for all of the aspiring artists. I end up rooting for both of the contestants but I greatly admire and respect Kandi's laser instinct for seeing talent plus star power. Thank you Bravo for bringing a unique show to your network. Kandi's show brings positivity, possibility, creativity and FUN! Keep it coming!!!!!
