Single male here. I'm viewed as attractive, funny, easy going. I never have trouble attracting women. The problem I run into is women are all looking for guys that are rich. I work but don't have the money to do the finer things in life. I just can't seem to attract the woman that I want because of my financial position.
Well, if the type of woman you want requires you to be in a better financial position, then get to work. Or start changing your expectations.
When will I stop feeling bad for breaking up with a good guy?
Right now...GET OVER IT! Life is too short, and by breaking up with someone you don’t want to be with – you did the best thing in the world for them.
Have relationship questions for Patti? Leave them below and be sure to check back next week!
im am a 19 year girl and i have talked to the most inconsiderate men. This one kid i seen for almost two years, which i have no idea why i stayed with him that long. I just don't understand what i do wrong and why i cant find a nice guy to even hangout with? I mean im not perfect but i try and i just really want someone to be there for me. I want a good guy friend and maybe even a relationship. I never been in one. This one guy started off as my friend then he started to get feeling for me and i told him lets take it slow i like where were at then eventually i started to like him and now he wants nothing to do with me? i dont get it. how you go from liking someone to hating them.? i really like him and i wanted to be with him. His reason was because " i act different when i drink" what should i do?
Hi Patty- I am a nineteen year old girl who has never been in a relationship, on a date or even been kissed. I'm not the most attractive but there have been people attracted to me and I have guy friends who I connect well with and I have a great personality but noone seems to want to be with me. I am a very loving person and have lots of love to give and would like to be loved.whats wrong with me?!
Hello Patti, I would first like to say i'm a Miami Alumni and know you are as well! GO CANES!! Anyway, my question for you is, you seem to encourage women getting extensions, and have also said you wear them as well but how do men really feel about them? I know men love running their fingers through women's hair so are hair extensions still taboo? Are men bothered by them?
My name is Miguel i live in Toronto, Canada.

I am 24 years old and i have never had a true relationship. Dont know if i am the problem, or i am simply afraid of commitment. I have had boyfriends but it tends to end up very fast. I have dated guys my age and older. But I always end up being alone. An old friend of mine mentioned to me once, that i was going to be single for the rest of my life. but thats not something i would like to have. I love seeing people in love and thats something i want to feel too. Please give me some good advice i am in need of one.
Never missed an episode. :) My question: I am 47, and live in S. Florida which you know is a lot like LA. Men seem to want (regardless of their portfolio) perfect 10's. There are plenty here: Boobs, Botox and Bods. I'm attractive, fit, but by no means perfect: little boobs, and a few wrinkles. No plans of altering myself anytime soon. Consider myself intelligent, well bred and educated, a fun date, genuine, can carry on a conversation, usually pick a fun place to meet. The guys I'm attracted to don't seem to want a second date or at least don't make the move after to phone or plan one. The ones that chase me are at least 10 years my senior and boring! I don't care if I meet a millionaire, just the right match for me. Chemistry seems impossible to find. All I'd like is someone I'm attracted to my age, who makes the same as me or better with the same values and qualities. Am I expecting too much? If you were single (since we're around the same age) what would you do to meet someone? Thanks very much
HI! Ms. Patti Stanger, I love your show. Somehow,I can't stop watching Millionaire matchmaker for nothing. I'm hooked on your show. Which I do admire your work and you tell the truth the way you see it. Hopefully one day I could call you up and pair me up with a good matchmaker. That's when I turn a little over forty. Right now I'm trying to reach my dream goal. Which is Actress/Producer/Professor. This is my dream of happiness of coming true. However, I know what to wear whenever I come on the show. To know, what not to wear. So you won't clown me in front of your staff and your own eye's it's a pleasure talk to you soon,
Hii Patti! i hope you pick my question!
Okay-I've been friends with a guy for almost 8 years but i've been living away for that time and even though i've been away, he has maintained contact with me and FINALLY admitted his feelings for me about a year ago and I have recently moved back to the area. He is finishing his doctorate and says that he "is just ready to start his life" and i'm taking it that he wants it with me, like he says he wants to work toward. Patti, is this abnormal for him to almost fixate himself on me to fulfill his "check-off list" I knows guys tend to do this but does that make him any more or less sincere toward me?
I am curious if a guy calling me like crazy white women and laugh. Should I take it seriously or lightly? Honestly I am not happy about it and told him to stop. He stopped and said again.
Hey Patti, just wana tell ya I love, love, love your show! Brilliant! I have been with my bf for over 10 months, he moved overseas temporarly for work at our 3 month mark of dating, we keep in touch on a daily basis. The problem: he tells me he's coming back, and when he returns he says he wants to talk about our future in person and not on skype.... his return back home has been delayed a few times because of his job bs way over there....I havent seen him in person for 7 months, and Im getting slightly depressed and frustrated with the situation (rightfully so). Do I continue with the struggle of being patient and wait or do I get outta dodge??? Thanks, Alissa
I have a question for patty, I'm 48 been married have 2 kids 9 & 11 and have been dating this really terrific guy for a 1 1/2 years, same age and our kids are in same grade and school, he's been married to, but he had a bad marriage and still has to deal with the ex. We really fell in love with each other and we so spend all the weekends together, one weekend for us and the other one with the kids, we both have our own homes and separate lives. Well we were talking one night about marriage and he said because he had a bad marriage he's fearful of commitment and marriage again and he likes keeping what he has and protecting his kids, me on the other hand embraces marriage and would love to have a future with this person. Now knowing this what should I do, either go on this way knowing that there'll never be one, hoping someday he'll change his mind or do I keep options open or WHAT. NEED ADVICE
Your show gives me hope that Love is out there, but unfortunately Im starting to wonder if it can be found here in DE. I thought I had my prince but a broken engagement and two kids later I have my doubts. I am very nervous about moving on and meeting new people. I am a college grad and in school for masters. I feel lost and hopeless in the area of love. At this point Im not feeling it...I dont want to feel this way anymore!!What do i do???
Hi,am an african, will be 36 next month.I watch your show all the time but my question to you is,I want you to find me a husband but I dont want to come on TV.Can you help me?
Patti- I am really happy with the Trevor and Tricia episode because it is the first time I have seen people super-duper happy!
I am a transgender woman living 24-7 and functioning in society full-time as a woman. Please understand that I am 45 years old, and therefore I am a woman and not a girl.
I am fit, make a nice appearance, possess manners, social skills, am well spoken, and also have a happy non-moody personality. Please be advised that I am not any of the following: Pro, Druggie, Drunk, Drama Queen, Emotional Basket Case, Con Artist, Criminal, Unemployed, or Degenerate.
I like to keep my life simple and uncomplicated and I do not like a lot of confusion, or drama. I work full time as a secretary and I understand the value of money, knowing full well that it does not grow on trees. For fun I enjoy going out for dinner and drinks. I also like to listen to the Junk Box, and when the mood strikes a little karaoke is also fun sometimes. However, my real passion is golf; I really love to play golf.
I am interested in meeting a man in the age range of 45 to 60 that is also interested in meeting a girl like me for fun and a LTR. The man I am seeking must be Caucasian, a Christian, and a Gentleman. However, this man may NOT be any of the following: Druggie, Drunk, Criminal, Unemployed, Loud Mouth, Blow Hard, Degenerate, or Egotistical Megalomaniac.
Can you help me? Have you ever had a Girl like me on your show before?
I'm 23 and have been with a great guy for 6 months now. It was an immediate attraction and we both had no doubt that the other was the one. Now that we've been living together for awhile, I'm finding that I'm second guessing myself. He takes no initiative. The romance is gone and reality has sunk in. I love him and he's such a great guy, but I want romance and I want him to be the man. I don't know if I should stay with him or move on. Please help!
Hi Patti, True love does exsist no matter what age. My husband Joe and I have been together for 13 years now. we started dating our junior year in High school, 13years ago, and we've been married now for 7 years. As cheesy as it sounds true love does hit at that young of an age. Of course Joe and I have had some issues in our relationship, we've practically grew up together, but it seems like every day we are together the stronger our bond gets. We have a beautiful 20month old daughter together now, and we are excited about expanding our family. Joe is in the army and has been since 10days before our wedding. Eventhough we've been married for 7 years we've spent about 40months apart b/c of frequent deployments, which constantly remains challenging on our relatinship. However, since we're apart for so long; each time he comes home no matter how long its been we always pick up right where we left off. Thats why I believe we are truly soul mates and it doesn't matter how young or old you are it does exist. -Hillarey
Happily married 50-year-old to my dearest Mad Scientist, and I love your show, and have fun figuring out which potential date is the right person. I find it interesting (and hysterical) that the ones who complain the most about not finding love make the same mistakes over and over.
As a mom of teenage girls, the show has been a valuable experience for my daughters to see what type of behavior they are willing to put up with on a date, and which ones are the deal-breakers.
I also like the fact that you don't think of yourself as the expert on all things, and have no problems asking for assistance when the situation requires it.
Patti ,I love u soooooooo much ,you are a very good example for all women.listen dear I'm from Haiti living legally in US 5yrs ago .I was married but divorced reasons: my ex prefer his friends and he left his job since I started working .I did not go out at all ,now I'M VERY DEPRESS dealing with that happenned in my country and I don't even have a date .I'm a very sweet, passionate person and I'm also beautiful I'm getting old with 42yrs old it's really hard to find someone because all men looking for younger women even they'r old but sincerely I don't look my age people always give me late 20's early 30's.Please patti save me I feel so lonely. Looking forward to hear from you soon.Desesperatly.J
YOUR SHOW IS TOTALLY SWEET!!! I live on the east coast and am 19. I'm currently working and spending some time going to a local community college. I don't know how to find the girl of my dreams and don't know where to look. I look upon love as both a blessing and a curse because there are so many people who don't have it. My sister's friend's mother is widowed, husband got some type of cancer. People like her discourage me, I don't want to be happily married while she's alone. Could I date a girl of a different color (my Af. American coworker)? Would I win with a chick who conflicts with my personality and fights with me, or should we think the same?
I am 45 single never married love to be :) I am passionate about living life and have children :) can you help me find some one? I like to meet a Millonaires :)
talk soon light & love Wayne :)
Hey Patti, I love, love, love, your show, you really give it to people straight haha. I'll be brief, I'm 23,My boyfriend is 29 and we have a three year old little girl. We've been together 4 years. I'm a full time student and mommy plus a part time secretary. He's a great father and mostly very sweet to me although not so sweetly employed, in fact, unemployed with an associates degree and lots of dreams he doesn't seem to reach for. I know he loves me and I love him but things aren't always smooth and he hates when I bring up the job thing. He's been unemployed for three years and he refuses to get "just any stupid job". Once I finish my bachelor in a year, I plan to bring up marriage and we don't live together yet. Seem like a good idea? Thanks, A.G
Hey Patty, I have a question to ask you how can someone find true love. The reason why Im asking you this is I have a hard time finding a man that well love me for me. All they want is a one night stand and they never come back. Im down to earth person who just want to have someone for life. So if you could help me I would be so greatful to you.Im 53 years old, and I dont do the drugs or smoke or drink. So I do hope that you can help me. Sylvia Murphy
Hi Patti- So my friends and I have all agreed that I have really, really bad luck with men. For some reason, I tend to attract men with girlfriends (I've been the other women 10 times now and don't find out until after our relationship is over, even with a man I dated for almost a year and who asked me to move for him!). If he doesn't have a girlfriend, then he tends to be either a player or just a huge liar. I've tried dating many different kinds of men, getting out of my type (or even below my standards), but for some reason these types of men always find me! And because of this I have many walls up, and whenever I start dating a new man it's a constant struggle between trying to protect myself and trying not to seem unreasonable (I am a law student, where reason is supposed to be part of my future job description). I'm told that I am beautful and have a great personality and everything, so it makes me wonder why things never work out! I just recently started dating this new man. He so far seems to be perfect, and I really want it to work, but I am scared that I am somehow going to screw things up because of my issues. I need help! I'm only 23, so I feel like I'm way to young to have so much baggage!
Hi, I am a 16 year old and I was wondering if you had really good advice for teens like me. I am a huge fan of the show and I love how you can find the perfect one for everyone. I was wondering if you could help me with one thing though.
I am a semi-shy/semi-outgoing girl who is very mature for my age. I feel as though guys don't tend to notice me and I feel like an outcast.
Could you please, please, please, please, please help me with my flirting and dating skills? Tell me what I need to do. :D
Patti- I love your show, its great. I have recently become single, and am looking to meet someone who is looking for the same things i am. i am 28 years old, and have a career and home. I am looking to settle down, and meet someone looking for a "real" relationship. i want to get married, and have children. I live in the washington DC area. Can you help?
Hi Patti, I am a single mother who is 31 mother of one, I work and go to school full time and I have lots of trouble finding a man. One is because of my buzy schedule, two, because the men I run into have to many kids, no money, to many problems for example girlfrinds, then they have the nerve to be intimidated by my education and being independent. I live in a small city everyone knows everyone so that does not help. can you help me buy giving me some tips about my situation?
I'll be 40 this summer and I am the divorced mom of two young children (ages 4 & 6.) I've been doing the online dating thing for the past two years and while I've met a few nice guys that I've remained friends with, I've met a whole boat load of creeps and weirdos too. What advice do you have for single moms about online dating? Thanks!! And be blessed!
Hello Patti! I am 32 years old-female. What age bracket should I be dating in-want to get married and settle down.
If you been married before and now you are ready for an adventure, but not really sure you want to get re-married. I have achieved alot and I would like to have a soulmate challege me! I am not afraid of the landing its the jump. When i read about David levine it got my interest. Is he already married? I have a stripper pole too. Witch is now loned out to a married couple... It doesn't mean a person is a freak it really just depends on what their intentions are. When you know all secrets to ones soul it is the only time you can find ones soulmate.

She lives in Utah and I'm on my way to get station in hawaii She wants to visit is that the right time to put the cards on the table so to speak???
Thanks for your time,
First of all I just want to say, that I Love your show! I like how you keep it real. I have been divorced for 17 years, I am now 46yrs old. I am a shy person and have only dated one guy seriously since being divorced. Things ended when he relocated back in 1995. I met a coworker 4 years ago, and felt instant chemistry; however, at that time he had a girlfriend. Over the years, due to agency events, we have gotten to know each other a little. I was talking to him regarding a recent agency event and found out that he and his girlfriend had broken up recently. This was 4 months ago. In December, we saw each other at another agency event and talked a little afterwards via email. As it was time for me to leave work, I offered my contact info to him in my final email. After 2 weeks, I had not heard from him so, I emailed him and apologized to him for giving him the info. He called me and said, there was no need to apologize, he knows that there has been a connection between us and he kept the contact info and told me to be patient. It has now been several more weeks and he has not contacted me. I am not sure what to do, if anything. I really like this guy and feel that he is the one. Did I screw up by giving him my contact info before he asked?
I live in San Diego and have a daughter in college. I am beyond the point where I want to hang out in clubs, a bar, etc. I've been married and lost a great man years ago to an illness. I'm self-employed and know what I want in life. But I don't know where or how to meet someone at this point in my life. I've tried online dating and hate it and really prefer small, intimate gatherings where you can talk and get to know someone in person and avoid games. Where would you suggest I go or look to find this? Thanks!

I watched your show last night for the first time. Got hooked. Stayed up till 3 am!!! On one of the shows I saw a hopeless young man named David looking for love. He seems very cocky and fun, and I think I love him!!!! None of the people on the show seemed to appreciate his personality. You tried to change him instead of finding someone that would love him for who he is.....
How do I get noticed? I am the soulmate. How do I find you to find the guy named David on the matchmaker show? I know what he means when he said He wants to be able to bring her home to Mom & be able to have a free spirit type relationship too!! Help me find him please---Sheri God Bless!-------
Patti, I am a 27 yr old single mother of a beautiful 5 yr old girl. I have been divorced TWICE! I know, I suppose everyone would think I have issues... I obviously married extremely young. My daughter is from my 2nd marriage. I just don't get it! I'm a wonderful, nice, geniuen, giving and outgoing young woman. I care for others, I work hard and now am struggling to gain an education. I live for my daughter and try hard to make sure she feels loved though her father isnt around. I don't have many friends and have trouble making friends with women my age. Most women I associate with are about 10- 18 yrs. older than me and quite frankly, I'm beginning to feel just about that age. I very much enjoy working out, and going to the movies. I go to bars only to get out of my everyday whole but men around here just don't seem appealing. Don't take me wrong, I'm not the stuck up kind. I am very social and enjoying meeting people but connecting with someone is a different ball game. I just ended a 6 month relationship, or so I thought it was... I will admit, I'm hurt and tired! Tired of trying, of investing time and effort. All for what?? I feel jaded and have lost hope. Relationships are a game and vicious cycles that I no longer wish to take part off. What ever happened to being happily ever after?? Not in this world, Not in this life time...

Patti, I truly hope you can help me out with this one. I'm a 22 year old girl, and have been dating my boyfriend for close to two years. We moved in together about 6 months ago, and exactly like you've said, our entire relationship dynamic has changed. It's now as if we're roommates and I feel that the special spark is gone. Over the past few months, on numerous occasions, I've become extremely attracted to another guy. I feel guilty but at the same time feel that I'm too young to be tied down to one person. I'm also afraid that if I break up with my boyfriend, I'll loose the one I'm supposed to be with. I no longer feel sexually attracted to my boyfriend, and many of his traits that I didn't think twice about in the past, are now annoyances to me. He feels I'm the one for him, and wants to follow me wherever my school and life takes me, yet I feel I need to experience life and grow on my own. Do you have any sort of advice for me? I'm running to pick up your book today in hopes of sorting this one out. Thank you in advance!
I have seen your programme for-quite-some-times, I found that your professional approach is very refined and up to precision (whether the result is yes or no) you do not find difficult to speak up your mind. Excellent!!!
I have a small quesion from you - are there any websites available for international matrimony alliances. What I mean to say, USA girl or boys want to marry with Asian or Europoean citizens.
JUST A GOOD IDEA FOR YOU ALSO.
Best Regards, Amit
Dear Patti I Live in Guatemala City, I am 42 yrs old and I like your show, what do I have to do to have the oportunity to participate on your show, I would like to find a men like 45yrs old or more that doesn't want a 20 yrs old girl, a men who wants someone like me BR Claudia
I'm 26 yrs old and recently broke up with my on and off boyfriend of 7 yrs. I love him very much but I got tired of waiting for a commitment from him. I want a family and be with someone that wants to give me just that. I have been dating these past months some sweet some jerks but none catch my attention. I hate dating and just wish I knew how to read the signs before I enter into another relationship that will lead to no where.
I'm 28 and have just met the first "good guy" since my fiance died 10 years ago. He's a gentleman, works hard, LOVES his mom, takes wonderful care of his daugher and is super exciting, accomodating, supportative and all.....at least for right now.lol I'm not jumping things too far ahead in my mind and assuming he's gonna be "the father of my kids", but from going out with him and talking with him he does seem like someone I'd be proud to call "my boyfriend." But here is where it gets tricky: After long-term casual dating situations I decided to go back to no-sex at all (or at least until I'm in a relationship and comfortable w/where it was going). Well, a week ago I messed that up with him. Now it was known between the two of us when we first met that neither of us was gonna "rush" into a one,but if we cared for one another and it was going in that direction then being in a monogamous relationship would be lovely. I've asked myself how does one justify rushing into bed but not a relationship, but you can't.And to top it off,sex is HIGH on his list as "pre-requisites" to deciding on whether you're girlfriend material. How do I "work backwards" to fix this situation,b/c though it's happened only once, I really dont want this to be about sex.Especially since we connected on so many other levels before we even got there. -Tia
