Patti, i thought your show was interesting the first 2 seasons. However, i have to agree with MelindaMindy...Why don't you think African-Americans are as deserving of love as the gay folks? You've done SEVERAL gay shows, yet i refuse to believe that there are NO black folks with $$$ in L.A. that are looking for love "in all the wrong places" and need your help too!
Hi Patti i love your show, pretty much so funny,im from Brazil 27 years old, independent, sigle, funny, good energy, always positive im not a millionaire even close ;) but the girls saing that im hot,i live in South Carolina but i cant get envolved with "americas" girls, they are too wild. What shoud i do??? by the way, what about those girls that didn't work out on dates?? i would love meet some of.IM NOT A MILLIONAIRE..but good things to offer ;)
I am a big fan of your show from the beginning. I am happy to see you back for another season. I was totally blown away by Shawna and her rude behavior as she fled the scene. She is strange and probably is not comfortable in her own skin. The one true fact is that we will all age. There is no escape from that. She needs to see a shrink. She's got serious issues about growing old. Sadly if she doesn't change, she will never enjoy a deep and fulfilling relationship. About that Angry Hobbit, I've never seen him before on TV and yet he acts like he's all that. He also can't take criticism about his wardrobe. He needs to see a shrink also! He's got major issues!!! I did not like seeing that guy take the woman on a date while moving. That was so TACKY. If he obsesses about a woman taking his money, that will indeed happen.
Patti: Thank you for showing us Smike, I think he is pretty much every gay man's dream! Now if I can find a guy like that here in Dallas i'll be a very happy man. Love the show, keep up the good work!
OMG.Pattie.....Please drop that "fashion" lady that has issues with older guys...i don't recall her name and she is not worth my time in looking it up....Mark, her date that she left holding her shoe, is better off without her....she is a waste of time...heck she was lucky to have had a date with such a handsome man....
Love the show....love the episode with Smike....he seemed like the real thing.....keep up the good work..
I just started watching your show and really find it hiliarious. I think that EVEN I know that you don't sit and talk to a woman about how she should eat her food. bite by bite. OMG. The british guy needs to go back to England.
btw. Patti you're really hot. let me know if you ever breaup up with whoever you're going to marry. haha
I might be out of his age range, but I am Italian and from Chicago and if anyone was made for Jimmy D'Ambrosia, it is me. We are so completely cut of the same cloth. Even if it didn't end up romantic, we would have probably too much fun. Although I don't refer to myself in the third person, I think it's funny he does. If you know of a way to contact him, or can give him my contact, I promise, he won't be dissappointed....
I was so shocked when I saw Shawna literally run away from gorgeous Mark before their date even began! I mean, how SHALLOW!
I am a 45 year old woman (and I think just as cute - with NO Botox, he he) and I would have loved to get to know Mark. I even dated a 50-something when I was in my 20's. It's the person, not the age. And dang, he's gorgeous AND mature. Sorry Shawna, you lost out!
Love the show patty can you please help me. I'm going to be turning 45yr's old on February 19 and I still have not found mister right.I'm from the East Coast, and 55" and I weight 174 still dieting looking to get down to 130. Patty I would love to get married and if there is still a chance start a family. I have not been dating for about 4yr's. I guess I just gave up on meeting Mr right. Patty my biggest fear is that I will grow old alone. Can you please help me.
Yours truly Lisa
All I knhow is Mark is a Dream of a guy who needs a classier gal then ms. narcissistic personality disorder. Her running away was a gift to him. What a fabulous and classy man....By all means send him my way!!!
Hey Patti, I keep noticing the guy that Shauna stood up is on TV all over the place! He is in a match.com commercial and he is also on another reality TV show where he tries out for the love of Cindy Margolis! Pretty funny.
Patti, My best friend is 44 and very good looking. I would like to know how she can be on your show?
Off subject: I just saw your show with Andy. My husband and I think you're a genius! I'm a red head but I still love you.
You keep doing what you're doing, WE love you! :)
SMIKE is the total package. I enjoyed his episode so much. I have watched it several times. That man is amazing. He needs his own show!!! I know me and all my friends would watch !!! Cant' get enough of that man!
Patti you are the greatest! Your matchmaking skills are truly outstanding. I look forward to watching your show each week. It never ceases to amaze me at the arrogance and narcissistic characteristics of some of the millionaires, wow! Rupert wins the prize...no wonder he is single. If you can't help him, no one can. But, good try. I only wish I would have known and taken your dating advice years ago when I was a single woman, oh well. Happy Valentine's Day!
Smike is a GREAT guy and very handsome. I hope he found what he was looking for he obviously deserves it :)
Dear Patti, I'm a big fan of the show, but never have I been so compelled, touched, and motivated by a TV show than I was by Episode 4 of Season 3. I am with you, Patti, Smike is the perfect man. As I announced on Facebook, I "just watched my perfect man/match take another man on the perfect date on Millionaire Matchmaker. If only I could be a gay man living in LA in this lifetime!". I am, according to many, a HOT Latin female with loads of offers of marriage (on top of the other offers) that just cannot find the right man, and now I know why. I've dated and loved wonderful, beautiful men but all the straight men I've ever met who even had an ounce of the sensitivity I need, don't have the courage and strength of character to show it. Smike is the man I want. Doesn't it just figure he's gay?!
Just wanted to note that I can think of a couple of African-American clients in MM, though there have not been any of late. There was a 30 year old guy that had played basketball in Europe for a few years and then moved into film-making. His "problem" was that he had not grown up yet. Then there was a woman that had been in Destiny's Child for a minute. Her "problem" was that she had been hurt in a prior relationship and could not open up.
I started watching this show a few weeks ago. Patti is so SMART and on the money about both men and women. I LOVED this episode. Although I was not crazy about Smike's personality, I was totally rooting for CHAD, who seemed kind, sincere and down to earth. They truly appear to be a great fit!
As for the commentary up top about lack of African Americans on this show, I agree. The producers need to mix it up. Are caucasians the only ones who approach Patti for her services? How about finding a company that caters to a more ethnically diverse clientel, then produce a show based on both Patti's company and other more diverse group.
OMG I thought I was the only one...... Smike is a great guy! I was like Gay oh no. I would totally date him. He is smart, good looking, romantic, great body and spirtual. What more is there?
Patti keep up the good work!!
Also I echo some of the other bloggers. Where is the chocolate????
The segment with Smike was fantastic! He seems so real and authentic. Not to mention handsome, intelligent, fun, romantic, spiritual....I could go on and on. Gay or straight, I think we all need more people like Smike in our lives...and on your channel.
Absoultely Love Smike!! He has all the best qualities anyone could ask for. He has got to be the best millionaire you have had on the show yet!!!
It's Detox...I'm wondering WHEN you will have a client who is looking specifically for a girl like me?! I'd love to find a man who can truly appreciate and value girls like me in a community that hasn't had much exposure in the matchmaking field! Help a sista out!
Dear Patty, Your show is amazing. I have learned a lot even though I am only a teenager. Your shows are so funny, you tell it like it is even though it sometimes comes off bitchy but I LOVE IT! I'm glad you say love is open to all of us, even though it feels like I can't even have a long relationship. I know I am a teenager but still, I want some love. Well thanks for everything.
I love the Millionaire Matchmaker and I think Patti's coaching and style is right on most of the time, though a little hard core on the delivery. I am a 41 yr Single black woman and I'm surprised to see gay men on the show yet no African Americans represented on the show. Perhaps Bravo is looking at their viewer population (and us Black folks are out here, but i wouldn't be surprised if gays were a large % of bravo viewer pop) in targeting who to profile as Millionaires and the women they date. Other than the Destiny's child member, I haven't seen brown skin represented on the show. Frankly, it's not too appealing to me to see gay men hugging and french kissing, walking hand in hand. It's borderline for me NOT to watch, b/c it is a turnoff and I am definitely not very engaged in those "crossover" episodes, often changing channels. I guess I know who is working behind the scenes at Bravo and it's no one of color. I believe we should all have an opportunity to find love, but did you consider your viewers may not want to watch the affection and hear about who is on the bottom and who is on top, I mean, come on Patti.... Anyway, keep up the good work Patti, I really enjoy what you do and learn a lot from it.
RE Smike: It's really nice to see a gay man on TV who is smart, successful, attractive and driven. Not the stereotypical drama queen. Keep up the great work with the gay division!
Patti:A Mitvah for you to actually return this with a direct contact. I am a 41yo Jewish female, Intelligent, single, very attractive Healthcare Professional in palm beach gardens florida. I would come to LA as I want to meet and fall in love with my becheret. Parents are 49 years in like and lust/love. I do not go out at night am am alone often. It would be my honor to have you help me find my best friend and lover. You could transform my life!!!To visit my grandfather, as he is the renasianse man and my cousin is Guy Richards(ex-VP at William Morris),all living in CA.Subsequently, meeting in person would be a wonderful reason to visit LA. Really, check out my Grandfather I believe it would inspire you too, terry robinson, the ren. man. Hope to hear back soon. Thanks for your time and strong consideration. Chrissy
Wow loved ur show. But after your comments about redheads... Not so much anymore. I come from a long line of beautiful AMERICAN redheads and to say I am offended and hurt would be an understatment. I have no bias or prejudice toward anyone... hair, religion, ethnicity... I will no longer be watching your show. U lost this red haired fan!
I LOVE WHAT PATI HAS TO SAY! SHE SAYS IT LIKE IT IS! Man, I wish she could have a chit chat with my friend who needs to get some sense knocked into her about dating!
On Rupert-Patti does an excellent job in summarizing that absurd date of taking the unsuspecting woman to a homeless shelter. What an idiot!
I love the show and find Patti to be so incredibly funny. I love the way she challenges the straight men,in particular. She rips that insecure, ageist mentality to shreds and it should be done. What makes these older (40+) millionare men, most of whom are really not that good looking to begin with, think they are entitled to a gorgeous and unfortunately, younger woman? I believe it has something to do with not wanting to face their own inadequacies as well as ageing process. They probably were insecure younger men. And, I agree with Patty's diagnosis of a narcissistic, inadequate personality disorder. No woman young or older should give them the time of day until they do something about this narcissism. They would make a terrible mate!
Surely you did not think that "Rupert" was going to be anything except a pompous jerk. He has fooled himself into believing that a 25-year-old attractive woman would want him for himself. If he were an office manager, postal worker or even an attorney in a mid-sized city, girls like he wants to be seen with would not give him the time of day. He would be best served by a date with a strong, self-confident and successful woman of color. No, I am not volunteering, but I can assure you that I, or any of my girlfriends, could whip him into shape in nothing flat. He has too many "friends" and lap-dogs telling him yes, and not one who cares enough about him to say "NO!"
Hello Patti- After this past Eastcoast blizzard I was forced to resort to reality TV. I'm not sure if I am a fan of you or the show yet; BUT for some reason I did find myself watching Millionaire Matchmaker. Now, the one question I have for you is: can you take it as much as you dish it?? You are a fast talker and an intelligent Jewish woman..I am familiar with this type hence I live in Potomac, MD (google it and you will know why). I would like to challenge you at your own game of love..Maybe a little East Coast vs. West Coast? Bravo are you in?
OMG PATTI...I know this is improper english, but Smike Wallen is the most, most, most sexiest, sexiest, sexiest millionaire bachelor you have had on the show yet!!! I know he likes men, but I'm just say'n, he is drop dead beautiful :)
Did anyone else recognize Chad??? He was on the show Playing it Straight. For those who don't know, the show was about a group of men trying to play straight to get a girl to pick them. If she chooses the gay one, they win money. Amazing how the same people are always chosen for reality shows. Just an observation :)
Loved last night's show! I look forward to seeing Patti become more familiar with the gay culture (and vernacular-haha) and with the numerous gay men that I'm sure are eligible, starting wtih Smike. I can appreciate why Patti (besides having similar astrology readings) is attracted to Smike. Smike has so many great qualities-where do I start! He is the type of man that men should aspire to be with (which is why I'm still looking-haha. He is accomplished, kind, caring, spiritual, successful, romantic, and just happens to be gorgeous! What a package. I relate to him in many ways (also an Aries) and am proud to be me. Thanks for a great show!
The first word that comes to mind is classic! I must say im a huge fan of the show millionaire matchmaker, and i can honestly say iam a person who lives and learn vicariously through others and of course as well as myself, and seeing the guys on the show were awsome meaning my gays! But there was one man whom stood alone vibrant, youthful, yet classic gent. I have to say his zestful smile lite up the screen and his presence, stood humble, sensitive and powerful. His name is Smike! I really and truly enjoyed the episode in which he exemplified and showcase that "real" men and love real men and that not all gay men shouldn't have a stigma of being flamboyant, drama, and loud. Smike seemed loving, gentle, sensitive, solid mentally and emotionally, i must say im really glad to see a gay male to be seen in mainstream media on a network that showcases quality yet entertaining television
Sending a special Thanks to Bravo TV and of course the Angel of Matchmaking Patti
Gooooo team Smike, Im looking foward to seeing more of him!!!
Patti- I love that you're showing REAL gay guys on the show. The episode with Smike was fantastic and one of the best portrayals of gay dating I have seen on tv. I agree with you about the shaved head faux-hawk guy. What an ass! Keep up the great work. And bring Smike back for a follow-up!
Patty, I'd be happy if you set me up with Marc, because he is totally my type. If the botox bitch doesn't wanted him,I'll take him instead. I'm 35 years old, Exotic latina, I can send you pics of me if you like. Kisses,PURE BRILLIANCE
smikes episode was great glad to see there are other people out there, well men who enjoy traveling with other men...definitly not easy to get those type of gay guys
Really enjoyed watching Chad and Smike...very romantic. Though I know we only saw the edited version...would love to see more of them and more like them on your show.
This was the first episode i had tuned into watch and damn it was a great one.. you got the perfect guy in Smike in the obnoxious pain in the ass in Rupert. perfect hour of TV. I will be watching more of MM. I think Smike should come back on for a follow up
I sat on the couch last night crying --
Patti , please please please some how let Marc know that not all women are like that. He is a VERY handsome man and most women would be happy to meet him let alone date him. I am not material for your show , not pretty enpough by Matchmaker standards , but please let Marc know that somewhere out there is a woman that is kind and will not treat him the way whats her name did.
I feel soooo bad for him and was extreamly upset at the way he was treated by whats her name. grrrrrr , how rude and mean she was , almost makes me ashamed to be a woman ( almost but not quite ).
Hopeful that Marc does know that not ALL women are like that and that someday he meets someone nice who will enjoy his company and all he has to offer.
Be well & enjopy the rest of your day
