I am really grateful that Bravo gave me an opportunity to blog my experience from the show. I had a blast! If you were to tell me a year ago, I would have had the chance to link up with Patti so she could find my dream woman on national television, I wouldn't have believed you! But, that's what happened and I'd like to tell you how it all came about!
I moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to play professional beach volleyball; a childhood dream. After working 9 to 5 in an office as a top sales person for radio advertising, I started to feel a bit like Neo in my desire to want something greater. I was doing well financially and enjoying what I did. I loved selling advertising, helping small businesses get their messages out, reaching millions of people with ads that I created. However, I could feel something inside calling me to stretch outside of my comfort zone.
Unfortunately, walking away from a great job and playing beach volleyball was not anywhere in the, "How to Marry" manual. Neither was it in the manual to start-up a company. Nonetheless, in 2009, I reached a place where I knew my business was on track for success, I had developed more spirituality and began looking around at all my married friends with kids, and sought Patti's expertise. I truly believed she could help me find that special woman who was ready to build a life of intimacy, creativity, health and abundance.
At the very least, I thought the transformative technology I created with Hitch Radio would get the exposure needed to inform an interested audience who might like to use it. A lot of people have asked me about Hitch Radio, and want to know more about my company. Hitch Radio is a search box for live broadcasts and it's the easiest way to hear your favorite music, DJ's and radio talk shows anywhere in the world. Ultimately, it's what you would get if you could combine Google, Sirius XM Radio and Facebook. You can try it by invitation only during the preview period [beta launch] by going to www.hitchradio.com.
Ayinde - I really enjoyed your episode on The Millonaire Matchmaker. I can safely say you're my favorite thus far. Why? Well, one reason is because it was refreshing to see an attractive, down to earth, successful AA male on the show who didn't represent the typical sterotype. And another reason, I was attracted to you & found myself wishing I could meet someone like you. Take care & I wish you all the best in life.
Peace, Love, & Blessings! AJ
Seriously this guy looks good but most importantly nice. As a senegalese girl I can see why coz he is from Nigeria and most African men are respecful wish u the best but I think that u should look for a west african girl who understands you and your culture and who is most importantly religious as u would like it. Good Luck Though
Ayinde was absolutely fabulous. Everyone that called me while the first airing of this show was one, I told the watch the rerun. They felt the same way, that he was an absolute dream of a "person" as well as a wonderful date. That's what we look for in a great man. Now that he's moved beyond the "C" fobia, which is well understood, he can live all of his dreams. One of my friend cried almost through all of his segments. :) She could relate on so many levels of his blocking, the dating, the dream to look forward to. I'm happy for Joslyn and they really looked and blended well together on so many levels. How funny when Ayinde said that he was and "East Coast"...We knew exactly what he was saying...the east coastal vibe is totally different than the west...we move the world. Best wishes to Ayinde for his greatest of dreams to come true!
I just Love the show.LUV,LUV,LUV....Ayinde, if I was younger you'd be the one I would share my life with, but age is a factor. Yoou are a true gentleman and your soul is pure. I hope you find the right woman for you to walk thru life together. Patti you are totally rocking it !!!!! Put those ass** in their place.
You were terrific in this episode, and I am not surprised that you and Josslyn are not an item. She does not appear to be as "cerebral" as you even though I am sure she is a lovely person. I hope Patti helps you find the right fit. If I were not at a different stage in my life, I would be dialing her number right now. LOL!
Wishing you all the best....
I thought that Ayinde and Joslyn were a "couple." That's what the trailer at the end of the episode said. This blog makes it seem like they never went on another date. What's up with that?
You guys seemed to really connect on the show...I was cheering you guys on (especially since I'm from Louisiana)! What I did find interesting is the fact that Jocelyn has been on another reality t.v. show...America's Next Top Model. Did you know that going into the date? Just found it a little amusing.
Anyway you seem like a great guy and I hope you really find "Ms. Right". If Patti can't help you I have some great, smart, beautiful friends that might catch your eye.LOL
As I don't really have to time to watch too much television, on occasion I get a chance to channel surf and I was really glad to happen upon Patti's show which I've seen a few times. Excellent show, I think Patti works her skills to the hilt.
I particularly enjoyed the segment w/Ayinde and Joslyn. I think they make a very nice couple and think their dating relationship will be great fun for the both of them.
Awww! I really had high hopes for you and Joslyn! You are definately one in a million, a perfect gentleman from what I can tell. Whoever Patti finds for you will be one lucky lady!!!! Good luck and God bless.
Ayinde, I see in you a loving man with a great spirit. This is why your story caught my attention. It's a challenge meeting the right person. I know, I'm still waiting on the man God has prepared for me.(Psalms 37:3-7). I believe without a doubt, God always keeps his promises. In your seaching, know that person will not be perfect. Yet, when you find "Miss Right" she will be perfect for you. You'll know when YOU FIND HER. (Proverbs 18:22) Remember, we hear God through prayer and fasting. Stay encouraged, your blessing is on the way.
Yea Ayinde! The show is so fun to watch, but it is true that it seems that Patti is having to constantly yell at the jerky bachelors. You seemed to really be genuine and "real." Bummer it didn't work out with you and Jocelyn, but it's neat to see that you are still working with Patti on finding Mrs. Right and this wasn't just a publicity stunt for your business.
What a pleasant surprise on MM! Your segment was inspiring and wholesome. I guess because of who you are - that gave a sense of familiarity and wonderment. I wish you all the best in life and business. Btw. You said you wanted spirituality w/out being dogmatic but it looks like there is something about Christians that attracts you. It's that light of Christ that illuminates:-) I mean, at least one of your picks was a committed Christian and feel strongly that Joselyn probably is, too. Christ uses different ways to draw us near. I KNOW!...Pssst.... Ayinde, Jesus is on the main line! Be a blessing!
Ayinde and Joslyn, loved the episode. I thought you both were an excellent match, your date was so romantic, with genuine chemistry. Well, I believe you'll find the right woman. You were such a gentleman, nice looking, great smile, great personality. Good luck
I am sorry things didn't work out for you and Jocelyn. My guess is that you need a woman who has had a little more of life's experiences to match your own. She is lovely and will attract quality men as she did you. You have a beautiful spirit and smile; one of the better bachelors on Patti's show. Your true sincerity shines through. I wish you the best in your search for your soulmate.
Patti I love your show, I think you do a wonderful job and are down to earth and straight forward and great at what you do. Ayinde...I love your smile you seem to have a humble focused spirit and if it dosent work out you or Ms. Patti should give me a shout. I think we'd mesh good together! Best wishes and hope to hear from you soon :)
Ayinde , I think your a sexy, intelligent guy and shouldn't have any problem finding a beautiful intelligent woman to share your life with. I am available :) Feel free to contact me if you like ;)
Ayinde "We gave praises and he came",
You were a breath of fresh air...a true gentleman. May you find the light in another that contributes to your happiness. All the best on your quest!
I totally agree with ViewerVegas Baby!
Ayinde, you are a beautiful soul and so much fun to watch. I *never, never* post on public message boards, but Ayinde is worth itl. Ayinde, I wish you all the best in your search. Take your time, honor your gut and keep us all posted. Beantown is rooting for you!!! :)
I just wanted to comment on this episode of the show because I truly found Ayinde to be very genuine about his search for a real woman to settle down with. It actually gives me hope that there are actually real men that are single and truly looking for an honest and loving relationship!
Signed, Keep Hope Alive! ;)
Ayinde-I was rooting for you and Joslyn to go all the way. You two looked spectacular together. As a west coast AA male who was college educated on the east coast, I really understood what you meant. I'm proud that you appeared on the show and dispelled those negative stereotypical images of black men. You remind me of myself and hopefully enough AA women saw the show and realized that there are excellent black men out there who really know how to treat a lady. Two years ago the love of my life passed away (a southern girl) and I haven't dated since, but you and Joslyn inspired me to get back out there and start dating again. Thanks a million.
Just wanted to say you really stood out to me - I appreciate a strong spiritual bend - the type of person who takes time to consider why we are all here, etc...
I know whoever you end up with will be equally special...if you ever find yourself in Chicago look me up (you never know)!
Its great that you had such a wonderful experience. When I saw the episode where you were featured, I thought you were quite genuine- so much so- that I decided to make a comment- which I never do. You seemed really honest and willing to be open, sorry it didn't work out for you with Joclyn. I now know that there are guys out there like you, so I feel much better. thanks for sharing and I wish you nothing but the best for the future you deserve it. P.S ( I smiled the entire episode- your smile is definitely contagious)
I never, watched The show before I was just flicking the remote when i came across you believe it or not, it was a life changing experience for me. Why?? I date a lot of professional ball players basketball and football players I am not a groupie but i kind of work in that field. Anyway needless to say, i am 35 and still single. You made me realize that i want to settle down and start a family I swear i did not know what type of man i was looking for but now I know i want an articulate, well dressed educated, man like yourself and at this point race does not matter. I think what ever women you meet will be a lucky lady so please choose wisely. I currently live in New York City but after the show i plan on moving to a more low-key place where the men are athletic and are ready to settle down. Thanks for being you. your mother did an excellent job. I wish you the best.
Ayinde- you were absolutely great to watch. You are a great catch- your honesty is a great characteristic that many men lack. You deserve all the happiness in the world. I hope you find the one you are looking for. Whoever is in your future is very, very blessed. It is too bad there aren't men like you in Minnesota.
I just saw Josslyn on the episode "So You Wanna Be a Superstar" of Terry and Rebecca Crews' reality show "The Family Crews". Josslyn was one of the nanny candidates for three of their children. Terry wanted to hire her, but Rebecca didn't. Rebecca won. It was so odd seeing her. It'll be funny to see her pop up on another reality show. I guess you got to do what you got to do.
Ayinde, your episode was the best by far. I'm watching it again. Your sincerity came through the tv screen. Gosh, I wish I live in L.A. right now. You give me hope that there are nice guys out there. I think I need to take trip to L.A. LOL! no I'm serious :)
I was so impressed with the young lady who would not waiver on her faith to try and get with you because you have a few nickles to rub together. God will truly bless her.
I have never written or posted a comment but after watching the episode that you were on I felt that I really want to give an opinion about it.
You came across as such a sincere, extremely intelligent and very charismatic gentleman. Any woman would be extremely lucky to meet someone who possesses the qualities that you obviously have. It is so rare today to see someone who obviously is comfortable in just being a gentleman - it was really nice to watch and take in.
I recently saw you at a Laker basketball game (Lakers against Utah on Friday, April 2nd). I noticed that you were with a lady and hopefully everything works out for the two of you. If not, I am sure your dance card will not be empty for long.
All the best and good luck to you in all that you aspire to in your future.
Well Ayinde, Appears you've made quite the impression! I must agree with the other ladies, you were a great candidate for this show. After viewing some of the other men on the show who appear really out of touch, and who require constant ego stroking, you were a breath of fresh air. Your presentation was authentic and sincere, and whether you realize it or not, you became a symbol of hope that if women keep their standards and expectations high, a great man is not so hard to find. Good luck on you future endeavors, and with love. Push past limitations and don't settle!
Ayinde-I was totally smitten with you from the beginning of the episode. Your smile is beautiful and very contagious. I am from the East Coast and it gives me hope that they are still some beautiful, educated, spiritual, caring men of colour. I am truly sorry that it didn't work for you and Jaslyn but I am excited that you are still single also. There is hope for me. When you are on the East Coast again look me up, ok.
You were a breath of fresh air to say the least! Beautiful smile...Psalm 139: 13 - 14 says it best. May God bless you with the desires of your heart. Also may he guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life. Take care!
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Well, I see many others have beat me to it! I saw the episode last night and was totally swept away by this man... I just had to find out more. I am sorry to hear that you did not meet the one you were looking for... but all in the right time. You seem to be a great prospect for a women who is really looking for love.
I too would love to meet someone like you. If not as a potential relationship but as a friend. Something draws me to your energy... I love to have people like you in my life. ( feel free to email me)
Ayinde, I saw the episode and was impress by your smiling eyes. They seemed genuine and inviting. Unfortunately, I don't live in the US; however, I truly hope our paths crossed one day...soon. Trust you will continue to take great care of yourself and I send you my warmest wishes. Blessings, Emma
Also wanted to say I feel I've been learning so much from Patti. Prefer her blunt method AND I do feel she genuinely cares about connecting people and helping them find love...and that is a gift that'll keep on gift...And she's kinda fabulous. So thanks to you and all those who help us all learn about ways we can all be better partners...
Im pretty sure she is from Top Model! She was the girl who left because she didnt want to get naked she said " If you dont stand for something youll fall for anything"
You know...you have some really great qualities, but I am very disappointed to see you sort of decline from your amazing presence from the first show after watching your second match up on the Millionaire Matchmaker. On your second show, you come across as superficial and judgmental. You will spend the rest of your life seeking perfection and will never find it if you don't change your judgmental ways and tone down the checklist. You really need to think about what are truly non-negotiables, the things you absolutely can't do without. Finding a woman who is a politician or who has read Dreams of My Father, for example, are not examples of non-negotiables. A non-negotiable is like someone who doesn't use substances such as alcohol/cigarettes or someone who is Christian. As I said you have some amazing qualities, but I hope that you will see the error in your ways and change for the better. YOU ARE NOT PERFECT AND NEITHER IS ANYONE ELSE. Find a woman who is perfect for you and complements you. I wish you all of the best and hope you will find someone great soon. Cheers!
