When I made the decision to fly to LA and be a part of The Millionaire Matchmaker I figured that it would be something that would most likely take me out of my comfort zone. I have lived in Northeast Indiana my entire life and pretty much loved every minute of it. As a fifth generation farmer (which means my great great grandpa started our family’s farming tradition) who had never been to LA, I was not sure what to expect. Surprisingly my time in LA could not have been better!
When I told everyone back home I was going to be appearing on The Millionaire Matchmaker the first thing everyone wanted to know was what Patti was like. When I got back home I loved telling everyone how highly I think of Patti. Throughout the whole process Patti was great. She is such a hard worker, extremely driven, and very good at her profession. I could sense from the beginning that Patti’s only motivation was to help me in every way possible. So I made the choice to put my trust in her, unlike many other people that I have seen on the show in episodes past. I had told Patti that I was looking for a young Christian conservative woman. I knew that being a conservative in LA was not exactly popular so I wasn’t sure what Patti would be able to find for me. Well, Patti came through in a big way with a roomful of women that seemed to be what I was looking for.
After talking to all of the women I eventually decided that Heidi was the one that I wanted to pursue. After I chose Heidi, the people at 1-800 Flowers were kind enough to allow us have our date at their flower farm. The date was great! I felt like I had made a great choice by choosing a wonderful woman like Heidi and was thankful to 1800-Flowers for providing a great setting for the date. Heidi is an awesome girl and I was excited to fly her to Indiana sometime. Unfortunately when I returned home from LA, it was hard for me to get in touch with her. I know that Heidi is a busy and successful woman which probably contributed to her lack of interest. So as of now I am still single and looking for the right person to build a relationship with. I feel like being a part of the show was all apart of God’s plan for me and my life. I had a chance to meet some wonderful people like Patti and all of her crew members and I had a chance to share my faith. Even though I am a sinner and a hypocrite like all other Christians, I feel like God wanted me to use The Millionaire Matchmaker as a platform to share his forgiving love.
Awww, that sucks...i'm sorry things didn't work out because you seemed so genuinely interested in Heidi and happy with your choice..do you think things would have turned out differently with Miley(sp?)? Would you entertain the idea of going out on a date with Miley(sp?)?
Hi Trevor...greetings from one "Hoosier" to another..
Just watched you on the show & wanted to comment on the sincerity & honesty you showed to everyone..
You are a TRUE gentleman & have your PRIORITIES in the right order..I know you will find your TRUE SOULMATE at the chosen time..
Thanks for representing us "Hoosiers" in such a graceful light..
Trevor, Im sorry to see things didn't work out between the two of you. I do have to say as I was watching I couldn't believe you being a farm boy from Indiana were on the show! You did an awesome job of showing your country views to L.A. and I wish there were more guys like you in the world. You should come next door to Ohio to visit. Don't know how you feel about brunettes, but Im a farm girl born & raised, showed in 4-H & now and advisor, was a Fair Queen 2 yrs ago, and Im christian so you'll find me every other sunday if I cant make it every sunday in church.
You were such a breath of fresh air on the show. I was sceptical at first as I am of most people who wear the "conservative christian" label, but you won me over with your sincerity and openness. You carried yourself with true class and grace. God bless you and I wish you all the best.
I had a hunch it wouldn't work out. The hot girl wants to get away from the farm, and not marry into one. She has a lot of ports to call on before she abandons LA. Wonder if she hooks?
Hello there – Sorry to hear it didn’t work out- but you didn’t need to fly all the way to L.A. to find a cute, educated, Christian girl! I live right here in Northwest Indiana! I hope everything else is going well in your life- and think it was so great that you stepped out of your comfort zone to try something new.
Trevor, I am so sorry things didn't work out with Heidi! You are such a gentleman, and you are so cute! I am glad you came on the show, and wish your experience would have turned out better! I come from a small, christian town in Illinois, and I know how hard it is to get outside your comfort zone! Congrats on doing it, and if you are ever in Illinois or St. Louis, MO, you should look me up!
I am a true southern girl who was born and raised in north Louisiana. I have many farmers in my family and know what a rewarding and hard job it can be. Your faith inspired me the most because as much as I love this show, I never see many Christians on it. Being a single Christian myself, I've struggled finding someone who shares the same beliefs and hobbies as I do. I hope you trust God in your journey and He will never steer you wrong.
Hi Trevor! I enjoyed every bit of your episode, as well as reading this blog. I appreciate how open-minded you are, as you traveled to LA without preconceived notions. I also loved the fact that you represented not only a Christian, but a genuinely nice person. I generally steer clear of reality shows for the lack of truth and honesty, but for some reason, this episode caught my eye! I noticed that you work on a farm, but I am curious what kind of farm it is? I am from western PA in a farming town, and am Lutheran, so if I am not traveling nationally to horse shows on weekends, I am at church! I am still in college currently, studying animal science. I would like to learn more about you if you are interested! As the other posters mentioned, I was absolutely rooting for things to work out for you! But I am confident that the women who catches your heart will be more than you ever imagined. Take care, and god bless!
Brother it takes walking many roads sometimes to find the true one. I applaud you for using someone outside of the christian world. The gifts of God are without repentance and I agree with you; I think Patti is truly gifted! There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ. May the Spirit of the Lord shine the light on the mate that He has for you.
Wow I am watching this episode right now and I think it is so cool to see a farmer, rancher, small town country guy on here. I am used to always seeing the city party guys. Such a good change. Being an agriculturalist myself and a prior FFA member and officer and ag. ambassador its nice to see that he picked the girl that was more country and was in 4-H. Sorry to see it hasnt worked out. But he is gorgeous and Im sure he wont have a problem finding a great girl.
Trevor, I don't usually watch the show but it caught my eye when they were telling your story. I was very impressed that a Christian young man would without shame share his beliefs. I have a lovely young daughter in grad school that is looking for that perfect one God has for her also. She is tall and blonde, with beautiful blue eyes. She has had many wanting to date her, but is saving herself for someone that loves the Lord as she does. She loves horses and has a degree in sport management and is working on her masters in counceling. She currently has an internship in the tippicanoe school district at this time. She wants to reach out to the troubled youth.
if in fact you check this... and you don't mind meeting a small town girl from Illinois who through 1 episode of millionaire matchmaker thinks you may be the one based on what you are looking for as well as what I am looking for, please feel free to contact me. I am 26, working a career and looking for marriage and hopefully kids before I am 30... I am curious to see if something could come out of this.
Hey Trevor, It's been a while since your episode aired, but I still remember how precious you were! I am also single in Indiana, and looking for a man who has serving Christ as the focus in his life. I just want to encouage you that God is good and only wants ther best for his children. When the time is right, you will be blessed beyond what you could have imagined for yourself. I will be praying for you and that things go well with you. If you are ever in Indy, let me know and we can hang out! ~S~
I agree that he should have given Maile the master date. I honestly thought she was way prettier than Heidi. She came from a USMC background like myself, was educated and seemed really interesting. Suppose we will never know what could have happened.
