When I was presented with the opportunity to be on 'The Millionaire Matchmaker,' I immediately accepted with great excitement and enthusiasm. I had remembered watching previous episodes and found the show interesting. I also recall seeing Patti for the first time and enjoyed her approach and no nonsense attitude.
It's extremely difficult today to find a woman that you connect with on every level that meets your criteria for an ideal mate. I had not found the person in my life that I would consider my "soulmate," so I figured if I were to try this new avenue, I would go to someone who is experienced and at the top of their game.
When I first met Patti, I instantly noticed that she was exactly as she comes across: blunt and straight-forward, but someone who could get the job done. Initially, we clashed with some issues regarding dating nowadays. We also had some differences when talking about today's women, dating styles, and alcohol consumption on dates. I think the outcomes of other episodes where lots of alcohol was involved illustrate my point exactly, and proved that I wasn't far off in my observation.
Nonetheless, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. I said I would listen to her and take her advice and see what happens. She met me with some trepidation at first and called me a commitment phobe. I figured that since Patti is the type of woman I would go for, then I should really take her opinion into account (plus she's very easy on the eyes).
