Patti dishes on working with Denise Richards' dad and updates us on his status with Sherilee.

Read Patti's full transcript after the jump. So, Irv Richards is Denise Richards’ Dad. I love when the kids fix up the parents; this is my favorite friggin’ episode. Irv comes in: I’ve known Irv, I adore Irv, but Irv is like a fish out of water (out of practice). He was madly in love with the love of his life (he’s a widower). Who better than me to fix up my friend’s Dad? I’m so excited!

That being said, we also have Stephanie. Stephanie was my mirror: she dates down, she has douchebag-magnet syndrome, where men who are not good come after her. And she takes them in, like a wounded bird on the road, she cleans them up, and feeds them, she dresses them, she gives them money. She gives them everything, and then they don’t leave. So I completely get that we need to break her of this bad habit.

Because these guys have been out of practice (one dates down, one is not dating at all), I needed to do that two-way mirror, where they could review all the candidates we had and choose wisely, because they were only getting one date.

I also decided that Stephanie needed to break herself of the bad-boy syndrome. Who better than my date coach on-staff, Steve Santagati? He’s the best; he wrote the manual, and he’s a bad boy himself. He knows how to break a nice girl of that habit, and it was fantastic. We brought him in and we also brought actors in to teach her, who is a bad boy at a club, at a restaurant, or even a party? And she got it down; she knew exactly who the bad boy was.

For Irv, I felt like he needed to meet someone who was the living example of what I preach: just because you’re older doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve love.

It’s time to have a two-way mirror! So we threw Denise into the mix, and let Denise coach her father on who to pick. Denise also sat with me and gave me questions to ask the candidates, so that she could review, so that she could choose who the candidates were for her father. Stephanie ended up choosing very against type; she didn’t choose the bad boy. She chose Bradley, who’s sort of a nerdy doctor. At least she didn’t go with the slackers: that was the most important thing.

Irv loved Sherilee. Denise liked some other candidates, but Irv overrides his daughter, which I loved.

Stephanie told Bradley that she likes animals, so he took her to a wildlife preserve. Irv was such a gentleman: he took Sherilee to his house and hired this gourmet chef who fixed this gourmet meal; they had candle light under the stars. It was fantastic.

So Stephanie didn’t pick the bum, but she also didn’t pick that bad boy, so at least she’s on the road to the right guy.

As far as Irv, he did perfectly, and he’s still dating Sherilee now.

Making a Match: A Bachelor's Bachelor

Patti Stanger dishes on getting dog out of of Bachelor star Jesse Kovacs and getting AJ Johnson to let go of control.

Season 8 of The Millionaire Matchmaker is one of the most dramatic ever. This time around, Patti Stanger is helping plenty of unlikely clients find love, from Perez Hilton and Bravo's own Sheree Whitfield to musician Adam O'Rourke!

Each week, we're asking Patti to weigh in on every episode in her exclusive vlog. She'll tackle the good (ditching the douche), the bad (AJ standing up his second date)—and the hilarious (did Patti just say she loves porn?!).

This week, she talks about finding the perfect match for The Bachelor's infamous Jesse Kovacs, Candace Smith's pal and perfectionist AJ Johnson and more. Check out the latest episode vlog below and watch past episodes here.

This was a fun week I had two clients, AJ Johnson from Chicagolicious and Jesse Kovacs -- he’s been on several versions of The Bachelor.

I’ll start with AJ: he wants the perfect partner in business, life and love. Candace tells me he is a control freak and she is not kidding. I call him Mr. Cuffington because he likes putting girls in cuffs and he wants to control their look, what they say, how they act. He is a mess, but he is a nice guy. If he continues to put the cuffs on the girls he’s going to drive down lonely lane. I have an idea of how I’m going to do this mixer, but at first I introduce AJ to a fellow stylist mister blow out himself Jonathan Anton. He is in the same business as AJ and he’s had a lot of success.

On to my other client, when I meet Jesse Kovacs he’s nice and he’s handsome, so why does he have trouble finding love? Because he has a terrible reputation. He just wants to meet a nice girl who likes him for who he is and isn’t pre-judging him, but I need to get deeper. He knows he’s screwed up and he’s willing to change.

Jesse Kovacs is nice and he’s handsome, so why does he have trouble finding love? Because he has a terrible reputation.

For both these guys I want to do a special mixer. In this mixer were going to play a little game and my clients aren’t going to be able to see the girls. This works out great and AJ whittles his choice down to beautiful pageant girl Melissa and Jesse chooses cute little Kate.

AJ takes Melissa on a very romantic day of wine tasting in Malibu, they even get to stomp around in the grapes and they ended up having dinner at Geoffrey’s overlooking the water. I hope they will see each other again and I know

AJ has learned a lot from this.

Jesse also had some success. He and Kate had a playful date go-kart racing and I think they really hit it off, we’ll see. But I think both of my guys have learned a lot about themselves and about love.
