In my opinion the most important thing that happens in this episode is that my miniature Schnauzer, Jasper, is on the show! Jasper is 12 years old and this past March he was diagnosed with a heart condition where his heartbeats irregularly - it's either too fast or too slow. So the AMAZING doctors at the California Animal Hospital in LA recommended that he have a pacemaker put in. We were very nervous about him having this operation since he had to be put under, but there wasn't really any other choice: either he had the operation or he would not live until the end of the year. Luckily he came out of the surgery really well and he took to the pacemaker immediately. The actual machinery is in his neck and you can feel it when you pet him. Every time I touch it I'm reminded that he is a survivor. I don't know what I would've done if the amazing doctors hadn't discovered his heart problem. We caught it in enough time that he will live for another four years, maybe even more. It was very important for me to be there during his first post operation haircut because nothing can be put around his neck at all or he will die. Huber at Tailwashers has been cutting Jasper's hair for a few years now and he does an amazing job. We know that Jasper is in good hands with him. He's very careful with him. By the way, my boyfriend had Jasper before I met him so I am kind of his stepmom, however I love him like he is my own child.

Speaking of medical conditions, Rachel became very ill after the Oscars and we had no idea what was the matter with her. She was extremely dizzy and nauseous all the time. It was scary to come into the studio to see her almost passed out on the couch. I know I was joking around, trying to make her laugh, but I was really worried. It looked as if Taylor and I would have to man Rachel Zoe Inc. while she was sick.

I am a huge fan of The Real Housewives of Atlanta so I had to ask Ashton if he had seen any of them. I have had the pleasure of meeting NeNe and she is sooo sweet in person. I LOVE her. I've also met Kim who was super lovely. One day I would like to meet them all. I'm kind of obsessed with Sheree and I think Kandi is the real deal.

OH one more thing ... the head-bobbing thing Taylor and I did while Rachel was on the conference call with Piperlime is called a Snoozefest. It happens when something is so boring that you cannot stay awake. Rude, perhaps, but also fun to do.

: 09/29/2009 - 2:15pm; Janeann; Rachel, you should watch some of your previous episodes because it is so clear to me that Brad has your back, loves working for you and very seldom complains; while Taylor complains constantly, doesn't seem to be part of the group or enjoy being with the Project to watch its t.v. showing and/or fruits of your labors. The girls who work upstairs work hard for little notice it seems. Why do you coddle Taylor when she is so rude to you even saying, when you were so sick, "like you're not gonna die are you?" My view is that Taylor would love to take over your job while Brad would be devastated if you died and doesn't want to talk about it. Could Taylor afford to start her own store and, if not, what does she want you to do for her that she says you aren't doing? Rachel, your husband is one in a million! Taylor is strange, backs away from a hug that Brad offers and speaks exactly the way you do as though she is morphing into you. Taylor wants to BE you, not work for you.

I love you! No worries honey, should you decide to leave that position, you will be scooped up in no time and offered much bigger and better things (no sex pun intended). However, I don't believe you will leave. You are too important to Zoe.

So, a quick q about one of the jackets that Rachel wore in a scene that the two of you were in on Episode 5: it was the white furry / shaggy sleeveless piece. Who makes it?? I must have it! Thank you!

Glad you and Taylor are working together now, but if I were Rachel and had to choose...I'd pick you. I am a straight, married woman, so, NOT flirtling with you, just being honest. Your there, not winny, up-beat and so eager to learn, or figure it out. Taylor is great, but harmony, positive up-beat enviroment is paramount in business. Hope you stay with Rachel, she seems like a caring great person, and needs a friend/employee like you. Love you.
