Season 2
Season 1
Hello everyone and welcome back for what we hope you think is an amazing Season 3 of the Rachel Zoe Project. Big changes are afoot at RZ Inc. and I'm sure as you saw in tonight’s episode, the biggest one is Taylor's departure.
I’d rather not go into details about what transpired, but as the episode (and fact) illustrates, we could not let her be a part of the team anymore. Sometimes in life, despite the warning signs and the advice of others, you can’t see clearly with respect to certain people…based on history, perceived loyalty or a number of other reasons. All I can say is that both Rachel and I were completely blindsided and hurt by her actions. But as the old saying goes, whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and nothing could be truer in this case.
All of a sudden a big cloud was lifted and our wonderful team shifted into high gear. With Brad stepping up and leading the charge, it cleared the way for Jordan to show us what’s she’s made of and we couldn’t be more grateful for their contributions. I can happily say that our team is drama free in terms of our relationships with each other. Now it’s time to focus on business, which is where I come in.
As last season ended, Rachel and I decided it was time for me to formally join the business. I’ve always been involved with the major decisions and, like any other couple, gave my advice when asked. But as the brand grows and the opportunities have gotten larger, Rachel really needed a partner in order to bring the business to the next level. If you think about it, all creative people have a business partner – someone they can trust with the opposite skill sets. Stay tuned for the rest of the season to see how our "partnership" and relationship is doing.

Rachel shopped secretly several times in the past seasons and always hid it from you. You must have seen it on the show. If anything in the books didnt add up, it was Rachel's doing. And if anything was stolen then Taylor would have been arrested. Stupid attempt to fool the viewers.
Just wanted to say that for as long as i have been watching show i could not seem to figure out why taylor was on the show. Im sure she did a good job in the styling end but i always thought she was tooooo negitive all the way around. She never seemed happy and i could not stand the way she treated everyone. In my mind i thought this has to just be part of the show how could she have this girl that is so rude and negitive and at times it was hard to watch. I thought she treated Rachel like -hit i couldnt understand it, and poor brad i dont know how he made it through that girl. You must have had a feeling about her i know i did and i am just a viewer once a week. I hope now that the extra negitive energy is gone Rachel will start to be more positive. I think tay brought her down more than she knows. Comming from a girl who did local modeling but wish i had gone farther and has always wanted to be in the fashion world it ate me to the core that she had that fab job that i would die for and watch her act so ungreatful and ugly about it. She brought everyone down around her, I watch the show and my gut wrenches wishing i would have taken more chances in life and followed my dreams. She had it all right in her hands. Not only a great job but someone who really cared about her and to think Rachel thought of her like family on top of it. WOW what a foolish girl. She must really think shes something. I dont think that you get many chances like that in life and she just tossed it out the door like garbage. Totaly mind blowing. You all are so lucky (also knowing that it didnt fall in your laps knowing that it has taken years of hard work no sleep panic attacks ect LOL) to be where you are in your lifes and many regular people out here envy you all, not jealous but envy. Rachel seems to have a great person with Brad and she will find someone who will be soooo happy to join your team and work there butts off with a smile. Even if you were not on T.V it would be the same for me personally. Theres a lot of people out here who would give their heart, soul, and their eye teeth(lol) to have a job like taylor did. So good luck and take care of that GREAT wife you have and keep her positive. It hurts real bad to be used and hurt like but she cant dwell on it too long or it will tear her apart. There are good people out there and i think that Brad is one of them so your off to a good start. Look forward to the weeks ahead and take care. Love Yall Jewels from Michigan
Hey Rod-
Have agreat idea! Why doesnt Rachel hire me to be her new "inexperienced "housewife" intern from Mississipp for next season?? Btw, ive had a cuople of voda martinis!! Could bring great rating. I am college educate dhave lived in WEstchester, Dallas but ultimately a MIssissippi mom!!
to know your wife: Sounds as if Taylor is about. If that were the case, expensive reports being falsified to cover Rachels spending, why then would they be on national TV saying she stole, or misappropriated company funds? Would be a slam dunk for Taylor, know your wife, to prove? NO. I think the negative little she beast that Taylor is and was has been found out. Good going Rodge! Love the start of the new season.
I have loved your show from the beginning and, TBH, I was never a Taylor fan. That being said, it pains me to see you trash this young woman, who, it seems, is bound by a confidentiality agreement and thus unable to defend herself. I don't like that. It makes you and Rachel seem like bullies and it makes me think I should find some other way to spend my time on Tuesday night. If you have evidence, put it out there. Otherwise, say nothing. The public isn't stupid. We've all seen Rachel shop, we've seen you downsize from a house to an apartment, we know that this horrid economy has hurt everyone. Taylor was no Miss Congeniality, but don't blame her for things she didn't do.
I, for one, will not miss Taylor. She was incredibly hostile and rude. She never knew "her place". Eventhough she and Rachel were friends, Rachel was still her boss. Working daily with someone who is so moody and spends endless hours complaining has got to take a person to a negative place.
I always knew taylor did not appreciate that job or rachel. I'm happy you join the team (cleaning house) can't wait for future episodes. I really love how you show rachel tough love. The fashion business is cut throat, rachel has to toughen up and stop allowing people to walk over her (she's far to nice).
I don't know what is going behind the scenes, but I am so glad to see Taylor is gone this season. No matter how good she was, she gave too much bad energy for an already stressfull working environment. Brad may be a yes man, but if that kind of attitude that is actually going to work better in your company, then be it. I would rather work with someone who can bring a smile to everyone than with a downer. Watching the first episode last night was just like a breath of fresh air, same feeling after watching too much drama of RHONYC, so exhausting, then we got a chance to see the more fun of Bethenney Got Married. However, I hope Rach would tone it down a bit on airing the dirty laundry in national tv. I just do not want it to bite her back in the end. Love your show, good luck to Rachel, you and Brad.
Rodger made the right decision to fire Taylor. She was a very unhappy, rude assistant who did not deserve the position. She is too old to change, I just hope she doesn't get a fashion job with authority...can you imagine how she will treat her assistants...I enjoy your show and am thrilled to see the lastest fashions. You have the job that I have wanted since I was 9 years old when I use to draw figures and make clothes for them. Luv
You and Rachel are great together! You compliment each other well. I did have reservations about you when I started watching the program. But it is crystal clear that your loyality is to Rachel!! What about starting a family? You guys are not getting any younger! lol You would make great parents and the childrens fashion style would be even better Suru!!!
I Loved Taylor!!!!!!!!!!! her style, her mood, and she wasn`t your typical LA girl! and I still have alot of respect for her because you know what she worked very hard and did everything she was supposed to do! and took her job very seriously! actually she was the only one that lifted a finger in the buisness! she didnt steal anything please! I think Rachel probably had "the missing gowns" in her closet somewhere! the girl does shop ALOT! But you know Taylor deserved better and she wasnt getting it! Hats off to her! I will always love the show though :D
There must be more to the story. Rachel seems very fake to me, and probably doesn't treat people as nicely as she thinks. It was time for Taylor to move on.. No need to bash Taylor, you and Rodger look like the mean kids in high school! Be professional and stop the character assassination and MOVE ON!
I have not paid close attention to this show because Rachel seems so affected and your position as husband and arm candy was murky at best. It was not made clear what you did professionally either. However, your love for her was obvious. Hopefully, you becoming a partner in her business won't cause too much friction as you just jettisoned the albatross around your necks, Taylor made.
Rodger I'm very happy to see that you did step it up. It was very hard to see how Taylor was with Rachel. And please people stop trying to defend Taylor on here. Pleasssssse! First of all I know you all did see the show, she kept nagging and saying how unhappy she was. Frankly she was a spoiled by Rachel yes she is expected to work. hello if any of my worker would come in with a pist poor attitude and complaining like a child. They would of been gone, but because Taylor knew well that Rachel was a good person she straight up took advantage of her. Before it all open up before the firing. It was sickening that Tay would act like a spoil child. Tay tell me this? Did you get a pay check? Was it not your job to get things done? Okay case close you were getting paid to get a job done period. But because of your selfishness took the best of you. You decided to back stab Rachel. I can imagine just how much you did really take from Rachel? Seems to me that you didn't like Brad there because someone was going to figure you out. Then when Rodger stepped in you really was gonna be found out. So save the BS for someone who gives a sh*t. Okay Rodger just had to say that. Have a wonderful day:) Lucinda
I don't understand if things didn't "add up". Why not do more than terminate? I mean people in LA all they do is sue. It makes people feel that there is much more than what is being put out. Remember people are not stupid.
I see that people are "hating" because you fired one of their "draws" to the show. They don't seem to get that RZ is a business FIRST, and reality tv show LAST. When the show ends, the business remains and you're left with your reputation and impressions you left. So, you absolutely did what was right for your business and I applaud you. And you know, some of us watch for the fashion aspect, not for the drama. It was really hard to watch Taylor. She definitely did not come across as a likeable person and can't imagine why some viewers care so much that she's gone...scenes with her made me tense. Sorry, I don't watch TV to so that I can be tense. I don't want to spend even an hour of my life being tense just to line Bravo's pocketbook --how pathetic. So those viewers who like the drama should just stick to the Housewives. Bravo has some REALLY overly dramatic viewers that need to get a life, and Housewives was created especially for them. Your show doesn't need the drama to survive.
Good luck!
I taped the show first esposide for the season; and was little suprise, that Brad, dismissed Taylor.. Of course in the seasons esposides, Taylor, replied, often that she was not happy, couldn't go no further, in the postion, that she was in; and was going to leave. Of course, I watached her, on the show and she was an excellant stylist, coordinator, all that her job description; there many times she was rude, to others she worked with; but she did her job sometimes, beyond what was required...Again, she was not happy, and wanted morer than Rachael's job description, for that position allowed. So Brad, I think that you managed the situation, with the responsibilities, of your company.. And I wish Taylor, the best in whatever she accomplished. Good luck on the show, and hopefully before the season-ends, that Brad and Rachael, will start the family.
Sincerly,
Ms"B"
I for one is glad that Taylor is gone her negativity and whining was way too much drama for the show heck even her parents told her to stop whining. We don't know what happened in the books so everyone get off of Rodgers case about that he isn't going to indulge us into their business finances. I think this show is going to be more enjoyable without the drama (I hope) because I love the style and fashion sense this show brings.
To Loren from CT: Funny! No, I am not Taylor. Just another Bravo blogger. Come on! You can't deny that Rachel did a lot of secret spending. That had to create the error in the books. They didnt SAY she stole, they IMPLIED it. So, Taylor really wouldnt have a slam dunk. Yes, Taylor was negative but wouldnt you be if you were constantly working while everyone else goofed off? She wasn't perfect, who is?? I just can see things from her point of view.
I miss Taylor! I agree that trying to ruin Tay's rep in the public will only make RZ look bad. Don't forget about karma!
I doubt Taylor did anything wrong. And I hope Rachel has better luck with you in her business than Kathy Griffin did with her husband, sorry, now EX husband. Say HI to Brad if you can get his head out of your wife's butt.
RODGER!! I LOVE YOUR NO BS,STRAIGHT HONESTY TALK! I WISH YOU COULD BE MY LIFE COACH!! YOU PUT IT OUT THERE HOW IT IS AND JUST SIMPLY SAY "GET OVER IT! SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT WHAT SHE DID SO DON'T PUT ANY EFFORT IN TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY!" LOVE IT!!!
Rodger
I think you made the right decision in firing Taylor. Her mood swings and attitude was negatively affecting the work environment, despite how "hard" she was working. If Taylor wanted to move forward in her career she should have just told you that you could not provide her pie-in-the-sky career goals instead of telling everyone else and left gracefully. She was getting cranky that she wasn't moving forward as fast as she wanted. Well she should have been grateful Rachel even CARED about her career goals and dreams.... I work in NYC and trust me employers are NOT going out of their way to try to do this for any of their employees, especially in this economy. Rodger, you obviously love your wife and I applaud your decision!
So happy that the new season started! Love to see people so excited about fashion. Yup, Taylor was negative and never had a nice word to say about anything and everything. Who needs that??? She had a great job (so it seemed) and a cushy lifestyle. In your business, you need positives more than negatives. Happy for all of you and totally enjoy the show!
You and Rachel make a great team as far as a couple!!! You both compliment each other. You are a nice balance! As long as there is lots of love and trust between the two of you....you can get passed anything!!! Remember good karma is the key!!! Focus on good energy and it will surround you !!!! Looking forward to another great season of Rachel Zoe!!!!
Hey Rodger, I thought that you looked great with that sweet little newborn in your arms....I think you and Rachel would be great parents..there is no such thing as the right time to have a baby...there can be millions of reasons we think that we should wait, but until you have a child you don't realize what you have been missing and cannot believe that you almost lost out on the most amazing thing that will ever happen in your life, trust me that was me almost. Now I have two beautiful daughters and when I think I almost didn't want to have children I would have missed out on the most wonderful job I ever had, not the bank job that I thought was so great! take care and God bless.
Rodger, You are such a great addition to team Zoe (although you've really been there all along). You go, boy! RZ - you are a lucky girl!
RZ
I love the new season! I missed you while you were gone :( On today's episode I could just see the pure love and emotion on Rogers face. Just the way he looks at you, you can see how much he cares and loves you RZ which is so rare. Take time now while you can. Meanwhile great job! Good Luck on this season. PS Excited about your QVC line been waiting for it since last season. xoxoxox
Rodger & Rachel
I too had a friendship I thought was the best! You are right to not let her dwell on it. It would just eat her up with anger that will linger. Cudos to the both of you in your journey and take strenght from each other.. Forgiveness while at the moment may seem "why the heck would I do that!" "is" how the anger leaves. You just don't forget it. I still sometimes mourn for a friendship I thought I had, but then wonder how messed up would things have been now had I never found out.
Nothing was ever mentioned about the picture you sent to Rachel with you holding the baby. What did she say? It is time for you two! Just throw her down and have your way!!! lol
I agree Taylor was a terrible fixture. She needed to be in someone's hospital on medication a lot of seasons ago. Good riddens.
I liked Taylor and wish her well. She did most of the grunt work and did not go to Paris. She was a little bit of a witch. But, you get that way when you're doing all the work. I like Brad better. If you are not happy at work, move on. She was not happy and the show's happier.
I agree with many other viewers that Taylor's negativity and disrespectfulness to everyone including Rachel was unprofessional and inappropriate. I also believe that her firing was dealt with in the best manner it could be- stating that she was no longer an employee. There was no trashing of anyone.
My best to the team and the new season
I will say it again, I said this last season: Taylor needed to GO...super negative and bad energy. ABOUT TIME...BRAVO!!!! No pun intended.
Finally! Off came the blinders and Rodger saved Rachel from Taylor!! I was ready to give Taylor a mouthful of Lava soap and a serious timeout for her TERRIBLE ATTITUDE - WHO talks to people the way Taylor did, let alone your BOSS and someone you say you care about? She was angry, defensive and just plain unpleasant most of the time - can you say GUILTY? On another note, I too am a creative person (Interior Designer) that runs my own company and a few years ago I discovered, by accident really, that my business partner (now FORMER!) had his hand deep into the cookie jar!!! I was devasted by the betrayal of trust and shocked by how much $$ he took over 18 months. My husband came to my resuce emotionally and now helps with my accounting and book work. My husbands favorite phrase for me is "It's not personal, it's buisness", just like Rodger told Rachel.
I have been on vacation and missed quite a lot, please let me know what happened to Taylor. How do you expect us to not be interested in your show and not know what happened Kathleen Walsh
Yes I agree, that was so wrong about the trip to Paris, don't want to be confrontational, that girl deserved it .she was the one who worked her ass off, whille whats his name cryed so many times, like a child, so if something came out of Tay not going to Paris this is the conquences, I was so hurt and angry whille watching it. Racheal think real hard about steping up and saying so sorry (to whats his name )but Taylor is going to Paris she has seniority and thats it .
Love that Taylor is gone! With all that drama she could win an Oscar! Oy! Love RZ!! Her style, her rachel-isms! Too die! Love that you want a baby! You and RZ would be exceptional parents ! Go for it, but don't name the baby one of those "hollywood" names...like Apple or Banjo! Oy..to die from.
Great season so far! Knock'em dead Brad, Jordan and Ash!
ahh hon, a better guy would have acknowledged all the good things Taylor did -- and you know she did -- she did all the grunt work while Zoe and Brad meandered around shopping and brad kissing up to Zoe with a devotion that should be mortifying!
But all the nasty nasty talk about Taylor and the incessant 'she was fired' sends a message that she was so important to you all, that you all are scared about who'd going to actually do the really important work!!
It seems that since Taylor has left, the Zoe Team seems to be happier and I noticed that Brad as stepped up and is doing a great job. Taylor's personality was very toxic and you could tell how everyone reacted around her and I think your decision to let her go has been good for everyone.
I love watching the show and Ashely seems to be a good addition.
I'm glad Taylor is gone. If I had to work with someone like that, I would be so stressed out. She was a horribly toxic personality. Good riddance!
Roger,
You are the calm voice of reason on the show-- nice & refreshing-- glad to see you on more... Sadly- I do want to caution you-- if you seriously want Rachel pregnant- she -she needs to gain weight- not smoke- better health & nutrition- as a high risk pregnancy practitioner- I can tell you she will not conceive when anorexic!
I must agree with other comments that maybe the extra expenditures were not Taylors fault. What we as viewers experienced seemed like Rachel wanted certain purchases hidden etc...and I believe more than once Rachel just said for everyone to get it done no matter what...hey sometimes that costs...so i also agree if there were true theft there would be lawyers and tight lips. Rodger ditch the scarves and the Bieber haircut...not flattering. I like men to mix up thier look but sometimes you have to say no. Its weird because I think team Zoe is extremely dysfunctional now. I think Brad is the sneaky one to watch... Perhaps Taylor's behavior caught by camera just depicted her being used over and over as doing alot of grunt work - which she thought was going to have a big payoff financially and career wise. She did an amazing job and added zest. Ashley seems to have excellent style sense and will do well. Show was a bore. I lost my zest for Zoe.
hello rodger,
I just started watching RZ this season & I have to admit that I'm hooked. To be honest with you, at first I was caught up with the fashion shows, traveling and all that hoopla but after awhile I started to feel so sad at what our culture and our priorities have become. You said it right, "it's not all about fashion!" and it's true, it's not all about work and money. When you gave Rachel that photography book in Paris my heart just sank, so sweet & says so much about the kind of person you are & what you truly value. You seem like such a caring and down to earth person & it just breaks my heart that your dream to become a father is dangling on a thread. I don't know if your show is scripted or if you play up the drama for ratings, but I do know that Rachel seems to be filling a void with these obsessions & to get to the root of the problem is wherein lies the real issue. I'm sure you're so annoying of hearing random peoples silly advice all the time, but if you want to start a family then you should first focus on getting Rachel healthy. I'm sure it's surreal having complete strangers write to you & tell you about your life and I actually can't even believe I'm sitting here at 2am on my iPhone writing this...can't sleep! I definitely don't mean to bash on your wife she seems like a wonderful and caring person, but out of all the shows I saw, not once did I see her actually eat anything & when you're trying to concieve & especially when you're pregnant it is so crucial to take prenatals & eat pretty much for two. I have a little girl that's 2 1/2 and a boy that's 1. My husband and I own a restaurant on Beverly Blvd, I believe right down the street from the rewire studio & even with his hectic schedule as chef/owner & mine with helping the buisness & raising two kids it's just part of who we are now & I'll tell you, I can't even remember my life before them...well actually I can & had some killer times...No really, it's the most beautiful feeling being a mother, a parent, their best friend in this world. Well, I truly wish you the best of luck on becoming a father & even if the show is scripted, the look in your eyes when you held that baby or when you talk about becoming a father...no one could write what that really told. Take care, maybe I'll see you in the restaurant some day...

love love love you Rodge! although Tay was a huge draw for me every week, I see why you made the decision, ultimately left no choice, non the less, very sad to your tdf fans! Love you and your fabulous wife, whom by the way, I wish I could climb in her brain for just one day! MUCH LOVE LOCALLY IN LA.. MUUAH
