Team RZ found themselves on a little European trip to Paris for the Fall 2009 ready-to-wear collections. Rachel and I typically go to Paris not just for the shows but for the Couture collections. Not to sound snobby, but I prefer the Couture shows over ready-to-wear because the shows and the clothing are seriously over the top – like watching five minutes of theater – which is great for people with short attention spans. Also, the Couture shows are much more mellow in terms of crowds and drama since so many less people come to see those shows.
I was actually really looking forward to having Taylor come along, but as usual, she became a martyr and stayed back. In many ways it worked out great, as Brad is the perfect companion for Rachel when they need to do the hardcore fashion thing. Brad’s just happy to have a chance to wear new outfits whereas Taylor needs a bit more purpose in her day to day and would have probably been bored.
I on the other hand just love soaking up the city. I don’t need anything to do except walk the city. I never get sick of it – it’s so beautiful and I’m blown away every time I go. Typically, I catch a few shows to get my fill of fashion and then the nights are a blast as everyone has dinners and parties. I also have to admit that living in LA doesn’t exactly give you any reason to dress up at all, so I enjoy getting spiffy a couple of times a year when in Paris. It just has that effect. Everyone is so well dressed – even the cab drivers are in suit and tie. It just makes things seem so much more civilized. The Europeans have somehow figured out how to sleep late, eat whatever they want and still look good, work less than 40 hours a week and take two months vacation. I’m jealous!
Rodger, PLEASE tell me you have an older, single brother, whose just like you and then send him my way! You are so adorable.
Thanks for your blogs, Rodger ! Rachel is soooo lucky to have you because you are sooo gorgeous ! Especially those beautiful eyes !
I love your show. And you guys looks so great together. Two peas on a pot. I have a husband just like you who supports me in all my endeavors and I feel like the luckiest woman on earth. Rachel is so lucky to have someone like you.
Rodger, you are the nicest husband on TV! You are very nice, funny, real and loyal. You also have great hair!! Your personal style is very cool, young and natural. Rachel is very lucky to have you. Please have Rachel see a nutritionist so that she eats healthy meals and you will see how much better she will feel, less stressed, less vertigo (empty stomachs increase nausea) and more energy, and a natural healthy glow.
Rog, I'm so loving your wife. After reading the rags about her you form an impression that is not too favorably. Her show, however shows the real Rachel. Besides, you can't argue that her style is hot. Also I love women that want to make other women look great. It says so much for their own confidence. Tell Rachel Tina says hi and that she's bananas!!
I can only say nice things about you and i think you probably deserve it all. But you two do look good together. Just like the prior comment ( Shell ), do you have a younger sophisticated single version of you?? (blush, blush ) :)
Rodger, I was wondering what camera you used to get those shots of Paris. I really thought they came out great and what a thoughtful gift. Nice job mister! xoxo Morgan
Rodger, As much as I enjoy wacthing Rachel, it was obvios that she needed rest & she's lucky to have such a supportive husband! Will YOU be doing season 3 ???????? Hopefully by season 4 Rachel can come back! (I'll miss you Rachel) !
