My blog is aptly named for Rachel's decision on whether or not to attend her uncle's funeral. Just to give the viewers some background, Rachel and I did go to see her uncle about a week prior to his death to say goodbye, as it was pretty clear that he wasn't going to make it.
She's a good person, and had we not said goodbye, she would have been on a plane regardless of her work commitments.
That being said, it was still an extremely difficult decision. Her aunt ultimately dissuaded her from going, so she didn't.
This was a pretty good example of the types of sacrifices Rachel has made for her career. I've watched it first hand and trust me, she's given up so much to be where she is. Some of it has been at my expense, but for the most part it's been her weekends, her vacations and her own personal time. Now, on to the potential anniversary party.
Hi Roger,
I just wanted to say you are a wonderful man and a fantasticaly supportive husband. You and Rachel compliment each other. You both are very Blessed to have each other. I'm so glad that you don't put Rachel down when she has one of her moments. In a public stressful life it's good to know that there is a man that will lift his wife up when she needs it the most. I am an Executive Assistant to a women in the industry and she reminds me so much of Rachel. She also has a very supportive husband such as yourself. BRAVO TO You and Rachel and I wish and Pray nothing but continued success for you both.
Kind Regards,
Laurie ;o)
