The Rachel Zoe Project
Taylor Jacobson

So Rachel finds out she has vertigo. While she was sick, did you and Brad have to try and pick up the slack?

Well yes, we were all very concerned when Rachel got sick. But It's always very busy around here. We always divvy up the work and we're constantly working. But I think this time with her actually being sick, we needed to impress even more. We had to do an even better job just because the stakes are higher.

If Rachel had to leave someone in charge, you or Brad, who would it be?

It would be me. Not that Brad's not capable or competent, by any means. He's great at what he does. It just makes more sense for me to be in charge, because I've been there longer. It has nothing to do with skills or ability. It's just the office hierarchy. I'm next in line. Then if I die, Brad can take over. Then maybe if he dies, Jordan.

Brad and Rachel are surprised when you say you want to go to Paris Fashion Week. Why did you want to go?

I normally don’t want to participate meaningless fashion events. In New York, yes the fashion shows are amazing and it's a great opportunity, but there are usually jobs. I feel like going to New York Fashion Week is a bit more accessible than going Paris Fashion Week. That's why I wanted to go. There are amazing designers - not to say New York doesn't have amazing designers - but I mean...in Paris there's Chanel. Galliano. It's a little bit different. It's a different arena. It's Paris Fashion Week! Brad wanted to go just as much as I wanted to go, we had the same reasons for wanting to go.

How do you think Rachel handled it when she had to decide between you and Brad?

I know Rachel really well and I should have known how she was going to handle it, and not have resented her for it. I should have been more mature about it. I should have known beforehand how it would play out and I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. I was too emotionally involved.

Should Brad have stayed home?

Nooo. I don't think the decision should have been left up to us. Rachel should have made the decision. If I had said I wanted to go to Paris, I would have looked like the b**** and I would be the one who took it away from Brad. But I didn't want to create more of a hostile work environment, so I let Brad go.

So there are no hard feelings with Brad?

No, no hard feelings with Brad.

You guys still love each other?

Oh yeah. Diiie.

Taylor, I commend you for making the decision that Brad should go to Paris but you should have been the one to go. You been there longer and you deserved to go.

Taylor, you are a class act! Not only do you have great business savvy, you are adorable to look at and very sensible for a young woman. That was a very selfless choice you made allowing Brad to go to Paris in your place. You know that when problems arise, you can put the fires out and that is why you stayed behind. You are a true TEAM PLAYER! To watch it however is another story. My heart was breaking for you because I too have been in those situations and it hurts and I always felt like all I do goes unnoticed. I think you are a strong, self-confident young lady who has a great career ahead of her. Don't be something you are not comfortable with...speak your mind. Rachel will listen. She adores, needs and counts on you and enjoys Brad's fun side. You will get yours....Be patient. You are smart and talented.

Taylor, while I admire your decision to let Brad go to Paris - I don't feel sorry for you. You made the choice, and furthermore when you go to the New York show, you always have to go back early. (I believe this happened both seasons of the show). So you don't appear to enjoy these shows, yet you don't want to be left out. I know that you are important in the Zoe project - but if you choose to go to a show - I feel that you should stick it out till the end, because it seems to upset Rachel when you say you have to leave. On the other hand if you are second in command and there are jobs to do, you should be the one to stay back and take responsibility, because Rachel knows she can count on you to handle anything when she is gone. You are great at what you do!!

Taylor:

I have recently become a huge fan of the show. I can see what a true gift you have; not only with fashion, but with people. I think the way you handled the Paris situation was truly classy. I also feel Brad should have insisted that you go as you did deserve and earn it. However, you will get to go next time and most likely many times thereafter as your star is sure to rise.

I know it is frustrating to feel stuck, but I assure you that you will succeed indeed.

Onward and upward for you!

Taylor -

I can not believe you actually made a decision to stay behind and NOT go to Paris. I know you were trying to do the right thing, but nice girls finish last! Brad will take every opportunity to step ahead of you and you are playing into his hands. Girl, step up and take what is yours. Rachel was totally WRONG by putting you and Brad in the situation, but you could have made the decision that was right and you decided not to, so no hard feelings now. Hopefully, you have learned from this experience and next time you will think of yourself and your career.

Good Luck!

Taylor,

I think you handled the Paris situation gracefully. Most people are motivated by selfishness (Brad), but you obviously took the higher road. Your future is bright. Just keep on doing what you do.

Taylor, you are my favorite part about the show. You should have gone to Paris, Rachel wanted you to go, and you wanted to go, but the fact that you stayed behind, shows that you have a lot of class. You are a strong woman. God Bless you

Opinionated One

Taylor, I must admit that I've not always been your biggest fan, but you have earned my respect with the way you handled the Paris thing. YOU PASSED THE TEST!!! What test? The Character test! At first glance everyone says that the decision about who should go to Paris shouldn't have been left to you and Brad. REALITY, things don't happen accidentally, there are lessons to be learned by all. Taylor, character is better than Paris and YOU win this one. You clearly have more guts and backbone than Rachel or Brad and that speaks volumes about you. Heck, you should be the boss and you will be one day, mark my words. Your strength of character and courage will take you a long way. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Unless something was left out of the editing of this show, no matter how you look at it Taylor, the trip was yours hands down. In my book, seniority counts, and both Rachael and Brad the Cad, should have known the right decision and that was for you to go. You're a good woman.

Taylor, although you should be the one going to Paris, you gained so much respect by taking the high road in the matter. Unfortunately, the respect you gained, Brad lost. Gees, does he always have to be the attention starved selfish glamour puss?

No fair, Taylor! You're always...
----------------------------------
No Stacy, there is nothing wrong with Taylor making executive decisions, Taylor is qualified to make calls on issues and give orders. Taylor has too much heart for Brad and I would its the only thing that Rachel needs to master. Taylor just needs to realize that she does have the authority to make decisions. If Taylor doesn't learn how to give orders then she will have trouble moving as she wants to. But Taylor is definatley ready to move up.

I think you are such a bad a**, You are such a great person, and I love your personality. I was really hoping you would have been able to go to Paris, and i was wishing that Rachel would have made the decision. I really think that if one day you venture on your own you will do very well, and than you can go every year to Paris! Good Luck to you

Hey Taylor!!! Way to go for showing maturity and grace in this situation. Of course we don't see the real relationships you all have because after all it is reality TV....but Rachel should have just made the decision and not left it up to you all. By the end of the episode I thought "Please turn this around Brad and bow out like a gentleman" but that was a big fat FAIL. From what I see you don't get excited about much so to see your face light up like that I knew you really wanted it. Oh well, I think you like being depended on and needed so staying behind and helping her clients and Rachel knows that it will handled well is a plus too!

Keep shouting and rockin'!

Taylor,

Nice work steping up and staying in L.A. to handel the sustaining business, Rachel is lucky to have such a dedicated employee. Brad is such a douche for acting so ridiculous. As if he honestly did not get that Rachel wanted him to handel the L.A. business during Paris fashion week. Keep your chin up your future is bright.

Taylor, it was totally unfair that you didn't get to go to Paris. Instead of Brad being "the man" and making the right decision, it was put into your hands. Shame on Brad for not staying behind and letting you go. How could he possibly think that was okay?

I wish you could style me. It all seems so effortless for you. Best of luck in whatever you choose to do. It is evident that Rachel really appreciates all that you do for her. Maybe you just need to hear it more or maybe you need more of a challenge. I wish it was that easy for me to dress as fabulous as you and Rachel do.

Hi Taylor
I agree with a previous commenter regarding Brad. He complained that you never tell him anything, while you were actually telling him about the Paris situation. I love Brad, but he needs to buy larger sized briefs, because I think he needs to loosen up a bit.

Taylor,
I soooooo see myself in you. Your work ethic, your talent, your emotional kindness, and your lack of self worth. Perhaps you feel that your outstanding work will shine for itself and everything else will fall into place. But it doesn't and you are stuck, and more and more unhappy. People will take advantage of whatever you let them take advantage of, until you decide the boundary. LOVE YOURSELF enough to get what you deserve. Don't accept anything less. You know you deserve to go to Paris, that it should never been a question, and that Rachel should respect you more. You don't even have to fight for these things, just accept within yourself you deserve them, and simply ask for them. Lastly, I know you care for Rachel, but you know and Rachel knows you can be doing this all on your own in your own business. When are you going to take that apple hanging above you. Your awesome. good luck.

I am disappointed the way that Rachel handled the Paris trip and shows her to be a a very poor manager and qustion her ability to oversee her business. Obviously, you do the yeoman load and need to stand up for yourself. You should have gone on the Paris trip and left Brad the cry baby home to actually "work"....I don't think he's capable and it's time to allow him to ove on down the road where he has less responsibility and can feel better about himself. His best is not good enough for the Zoe position. He make the entire organization look unprofessional.......not even "good looking" arm candy.....

taylor,
you're my favorite on the show - i am being serious.
i was watching the episode where you and brad had to decide who would get to go to paris and i couldn't stop staring at your black shades - the pair you wore with the red/green/yellow/mixed print dress. where did you get them and how do i get a couple of pairs?

many good thoughts,

Don’t make the mistake of being self defacing. Wrongly Rachel put you in the position of making the decision on who goes to Paris. She was wrong but what can one do she is the boss. Maybe you thought letting Brad go to Paris was easier, but not the correct choice I think. Putting yourself last will only grind you down, don’t do that to yourself. And if Brad is doing such a good job push the jewelry line so you can have a creative outlet, let Brad do the schlubbing around.

Taylor, your generosity and maturity are impressive. What a tough situation to be in, plus to have it all unfold in front of a camera crew. I thought you were incredible to put the clients and Brad first.

I loved seeing you in bright colors in this episode!

You have to stop being such a DOWNER. WTF asking Rachel, ARE YOU GONNA DIE? Are you for real, Taylor??!! She has an inner ear thing, I don't think that qualifies as a death sentence. And then you go to Brad and say "Rachel might possibly die!!" Your new name is "Gloom" it SO matches your personality. I guess smiling & affection would make you face crack & your arms fall off. You bring me down!

Taylor,

Even though Rachel doesn't get you, I do. I have the same type of poor emotional attitude at work. You love it, but hate it at the same time. Things bother you and others don't understand. You're stuck. It may have been amazing in the beginning, but now things have become so mundane, and you need a change.

I hope you get to create some change for yourself. You work too hard to beat yourself up and to be unhappy.

And you should have gone to Paris Fashion Week. Opportunities don't come often.

Is it just me or is this the scene from Ann Hathawy's " Devil

Taylor, sometimes you will come along looking like the "B", especially as you move up in your profession. You and Rachel did nothing wrong in the handeling of the Paris trip. And for the record, Brad kept drilling you on why you never told him...and guess what???? YOU DID TELL HIM!!!! you were telling him at that moment!!!!!!! He was lucky you even mentioned it at all, many executive decisions are made without ever letting the employees know the full details of private meetings. Brad seems like a nice guy and he's probably good at his job but he has no respect for you or Rachel.

I see that you are absolutely indespensible to Rachel...that you have learned alot from her...and that you are the most up front and emotionally honest of all of them. You are the GLUE that holds RZ inc together! I feel bad for the situations and the lack of respect that I see that you deserve and have earned in doing what you do.

I think you should stand up for yourself and not always be the BIGGER PERSON. I know you could write your own ticket if you wanted to leave. Embrace your own worth and quit being manipulated by that genuis of a stylist but totally neurotic boss of yours. Speak up and ask for what is rightly yours!

It was a very generous thing you did to let Brad go...but you earned your place at the top...I think Rachel would rather keep peace with him because you have taught her how to treat you...screw him....his time will come...go for what you have earned and claim it...I don't think either of them have half the class and conscience and generosity you do! I wanted to slap Brad in the way he behaved when you agreed to step down on the Paris trip!

Remember...nice guys/gals finish last...don't be a doormat...go for what is yours!

That was so big of you Taylor to step up and let Brad go. I love all of you on the show but don't think you should have been put in that situation to make the decision. No fair, Taylor! You're always being the bigger person in these awkward situations. Rachel was wrong to put you in that position and Brad was wrong to twist the whole situation into a personal attack on him. I think you've matured TONS since last season, I just hope its not getting you taken advantage of. You shouldn't have to stop standing up for what you want just because the people you work with are too sensitive to hear it.
