Bravotv.com: This episode it's your anniversary and it's also fashion week. So tell me about your anniversary and the gifts that you got each other...

Rachel Zoe: Oh my god. You mean the one he got me from Kiki? So embarrassing. That was so embarrassing. I'm totally not a lingerie kind of girl. I'm all about subtle sexiness, a tank top and boxers. We've been together almost 19 years, so when he got that for me I kind of looked at him like he had ten heads. I was like what? I don't understand.

Would you have been that embarrassed if the cameras weren't there?

I probably would have been. But I think I was doubly embarrassed. I had like ten people around me.

Did the lingerie go back to the store?

No. It's here ... with tags on!

We thought it was funny that you bought a gift for yourself from him.

I know. I didn't think that he had time. So I thought OK this is something that he'll really want me to wear. So I thought gold handcuffs were really cool.

And have they been, uh, used?

Well, they've been worn as a bracelet.

Marisa got you the honeymoon home video. What was it like looking back?

So embarrassing. I was like, "Oh my god, what was I thinking?" I had brown hair and frizzy bangs. It's kind of hard not to when you're in St. Barts - humidity is against you. But watching those videos you get nostalgic. You realize how long you've actually been together.

Would you ever go back to brown?

Well, you never say never. But I really like being lighter. I feel a little more...

California?

Maybe. A little more upbeat. A little more alive with blonde hair. But I play with the tone. I'm always super light in the summer and I go a little warmer in the fall. But I think I'm stuck in the blonde world.

It looks really good up! We saw the pictures you posted.

Thank you! I mean, I don't know. Let me tell you something, the feedback I'm getting about wearing my hair up, I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't wear it down anymore, you know? It's like when someone says to you, "Oh my God you lost SO much weight!" And you're like, "Uh, actually it was five pounds, so how fat did you think I actually was?"

People don’t know how to give compliments.

Totally true.

So you guys went to Babbo...

We did. That's been our tradition for literally at least ten years. I think we're always in New York for our anniversary.

But you didn't have your first date there because it wasn't open yet...

No our first date was at a restaurant called Palos in Washington, D.C. Literally our first date ever.

Is it still there?

I think it is still there. And they have amazing pretzel bread sticks. But we never go to D.C. anymore. Never. I mean you know me, I don't get out much. Unless it's for work I don't really go anywhere.

Well, let's get to the fashion. So first we have the Michael Kors show, and you were running a bit late.

Late is an understatement. I don't miss shows. I'm either going or I'm not going. I'm usually early. I always overestimate traffic. But traffic was so bad this year, I was just like, oh my god. And Michael is such a dear friend of mine and it's a show I never miss. So I didn't miss it, but we were running, running, RUNNING.

And you had to stand with rude girls...

So nasty! They were nasty, really vicious girls, saying "Wahh, I can't see," and I was like, dude, I'm 5'3'', cut me a break here, like I actually need to see this show.

Brad was so funny, he gets really saucy. He says to the girls, "Michael would want me to step in front of you cause I actually use his clothes. I don't buy them on sale at Saks Fifth Avenue."

[Laughing] Brad is very gets very protective of me. He does! We have each other's backs. I mean when someone messes with Brad, I'll just go all crazy.

We're seeing this year that he's a little saucier.

Yes, he's definitely saucier. I think Taylor suppressed him. He was afraid to do anything. He was afraid to breathe the wrong way.

Now he's letting it all out.

Yeah, totally, and rightfully so. I like it.

So your sister was there during Fashion Week. Was it nice to have her in the city?

Yes. My sister is my best friend. Having her around is just a bonus. If Rodger's not around, having a sister is the next best thing. If I'm going through a crisis and Rodge has to travel for work, my sister will fly in. I'll always be OK if she's there.

What did you think when you saw her shopping with Rodger?

I meeean. So inappropriate! So inappropriate. My sister is super modest too, so it's just trying to imagine her...

Were you surprised?

Yes.

Does she still bother you about having kids?

Yes. She does. Only a couple times a year, but not annoyingly so. She knows she's one of the few people who can ask. She knows I'm dying to be a mom. I just have to figure out how to get there. That's all. Unfortunately it's a theme that reoccurs throughout the season. But I think motherhood's the greatest thing in the world, and I'm super excited about becoming a mom, but I just have to jam on the breaks.

Do you like being an aunt?

Honestly being an aunt is my favorite job in the world. It's funny because it's the one I don't get paid to do. You know? But it really is my favorite job. There's nothing I love more than being with my nieces and nephews. My entire world freezes. They're everything to me. Everything. So I can only imagine when it's my own. I mean, I can't even imagine. Literally cannot imagine. I'll never want to leave home.

I guess that's why you can't find time for it yet?

Exactly, that's why I haven't done it yet.

You had your QVC fashion show in this episode.

Yes I did, and I'll be doing another one September 11th.

How did that idea to do it as a fashion show come about?

Well, it was my second show and it's something QVC is doing now to broaden their presence at Fashion Week. People seem to really love it. So it's been really fun.

It was hilarious when Brad and Rodger called in.

Oh my god, so funny. So funny. I thought they were kidding. I totally thought they were kidding. Typical, right?

Oh well, lost you a sale!

[Laughing] Yes, well that's my support team. I'm a lucky girl, a very lucky girl.

So tell us more about the "white story." You really wanted to look for white Oscar gowns, and then you get an email that there's no white allowed.

Sometimes the Academy producers give direction. It's rare. In my history I don't think I've ever dealt with that before. But they really didn't want white I guess because the stage was white and with the production and the lighting ... I don't know. I had never heard of something like that. I was like, oy. I had a whole slew of white dresses! My clients LOVE white. Who doesn't love a white dress? I mean if you look at my history of styling, I'd say 50% is white.

So I guess we'll see next week what happens with the Marchesa dress, and why it ended up with Sandra Bullock and not one of your clients.

Yes, well the designers from Marchesa are really good friends of mine. It's one of those things. They have to do what's best for their business, and I have to do what's best for mine. Sometimes you get into a situation where you don't know what to do.

It looks like they removed the bow from the dress.

Yes, they did. That was an amazing dress. You know, Oscars can be kind of an ugly time. But we'll see what happens next week! I just loved this week's and next week's episode.

Brad was so funny this week!

I'm telling you, he takes no prisoners this year!

Point well made...

To: Stand up for your rights, Your point is VERY valid and nothing I am about to say is to contradict a womans/couples voice to not have kids. My sister and her husband chose not to and I commend them for it. I will even go as far as to say that I'm grateful they didn't because no child should be brought into this world if it is unwanted. There is enough of that already. But here is another thought...Rodger. She has obviously led him to believe at one point that he would be a father or we would not be witnessing this discussion taking place. Does he not have a say??? We have already heard her tell him that she was sick of his heterosexuality (which is in and of itself completely ridiculous- be alone then!), but after all of the sacrifices he makes for her (even their extra time in NY was engulfed by her work), being alone for long hours, being surrounded and saturated by a world that holds no interest for him, now helping run her company, being told "no" on a constant basis...I could go on and on. I am married too and to make a marriage work there needs to be somengive and take that has to be in place. Yes she has the right to live her life completely for herself...but what does that mean for her "partner"?????

Rachel, I really wish you would stop FLAUNTING the fact that you love FUR!! Do you have any idea how many innocent animals were murdered so that you can have your stupid fur outfit?? It's a very shallow act on your part!! Animals are living, breathing creatures and they every right to live as you and me!! Please educate yourself on this & STOP WEARING FUR!!

Hi Rachel, I love the show. I especially think that Brad is doing a terrific job and your new staff is great. You are such a nice person and you work so hard. You deserve the best. Your husband is just terrific. I love the fashion, it is incredible. I wish you guys all the best simply because you are the best.

Why don't you celebrate your 1/2 year anniversary since the actual date is never at a time you can both relax and enjoy each other and the day?

Brad was rude and owes your viewers an apology. As a teacher, I love to look good, and Michael Kors is a designer I always go to. With that being said, I don't have the money to pay full price. I don't own even one credit card. So for a cash paying customer like me, I live, breathe, and die for the sales. I can't believe that everyone dogs on Taylor (whom I love), but he was being just as ugly. I love that you are finally starting to focus on the fashion (my favorite part) instead of the "Taylor Situation". Keep it up, and I will continue to watch. And, your husband is so sweet and handsome. You are a very lucky woman.

Isn't it interesting how people tell you how to do your business and don't have a clue-I have worked with models and celebrities-next time I will focus on animals-you're great-the calm this year is wonderful. You also handled the snow with such grace. Thank you and Rodger and Brad and the Zoe camp for being back.

Just wanted to say that your show is pretty much my fave new discovery (late I know). Thank you for pretty much doing a GOOD fashion show. I respect the real person you are (that you get tired, and that you push yourself and you work your ass off and love what you do). You inspire me!

Rachel, I loved the show this week. It was refreshing. I can honestly say that I don't know how you stood having Taylor there. Brad is good at what he does and there were not TAYLOR MOMENTS. Best things that ever happenend. Getting ready for Fashion Week was stressfull in itself. Seems like it went well with no meltdowns from the drama queeen Taylor. Things happen for a reason and Taylor leaving was the best thing. Keep entertaining us.

Rachel - you just make me laugh - and with Brad - and of course, Roger - so funny so real, so absolutely adorable. But, with your luck, you will have only boys - oh, how cute they will look dressing up in mommy's clothes!!!! I am so happy Taylor is gone - you and Brad are such a great team and there is no tension - when there would be - there is none, just get the job done, but have fun doing it. Isn't it funny how it can be fun at the same time!!! Tayor was drama. You are so good at what you do and now with the QVC, you can make us "regular" people look good too. Thank you, Rachel, now we can all be 'little' carbon copies of what we see you do on the red carpet. I do hope you and Roger decide to bring forth a little special person because that will make your stamp on life so much more meaningful. Best of luck to you all and thank you for letting us into your world.

If you want your marriage to work don't have your husband work for you. He's talks down to you. The thing is you are already self made women! Don't let any man speak and run you around like your husband does! He's rude and has no respected for you for!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rachel, You're a really cool chick. I am a 50 year old married working mom of 3 boys ages 15-23 who lives in Phoenix, Arizona. I used to get into fashion, but can't seem to find the time anymore..but when I watch your show for that hour I get to fantasize about your jet setting life, and you inspire me. I think you would be a great Mom... and Roger an awesome supportive Dad. You can have it all, just do it.....you won't be sorry! I love your new saying this year "shut the front door"..obviously instead of shut the f _ _k up! It's obvious Brad adores working for you, and is in awe of you an his surroundings. Please don't ever become like the editor of Vogue ....Anna W. You can be a strong boss, without being a hateful, mean person who has to bring others down in order to feel better about themselves. It's obvious you were raised by wonderful parents. You rock! But...I beg of you....just once.....I would love to see you on your "reality show" just one episode without make-up or hair done, and hanging in jeans or sweats instead of your bathrobe! I know there is a natural beauty in there!

Love the show, it's mesmerizing and addictive. I kind of got tired of hearing about the anniversary and making babies though--actually fast forwarded through some of that. Sorry but it's all about the fashion and the stars. Brad is a cutie too.

Rachel, i wanted to tell you - DON'T GIVE IN TO HAVING KIDS BY LISTENING WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS SUBJECT MATTER. Unless you really want to yourself, it is YOUR life to live and enjoy, and your priorities not theirs. YOU get to chose what works and doesn't work for YOU. I am sick of people trying to pressure women just because society / relatives/ biological clock expect you to have children.I just read an honest and humorous article in Marie Clair called "The Back-up Plan, The Switch..." by Polly Vernon.Bravo, girl and way to go. Rachel, your "child" is your still growing company, your clients. Be happy by anything that brings you happiness - whether it is a baby or a Chanel suit . P.S. I have two children but i am for every woman's personal choice by heart, not by pressure. P.P.S You have a super patient husband. He is very supportive, so try to spend more time with him doing what he likes to do *wink* :-)

Rachel LOVE your show! SOO happy T is gone. I would watch the show each week wondering how you could keep her while she was whining, throwing tantrums, torturing Brad, stabbing you in the back, etc... Brad is awesome!!!! Smart, funny, hard working, and so far he is working well with Ashley, teaching her, trusting her talent. I think you should trust your ability to be a Mom and a business woman. You have a great, supportive husband who wants to be hands on involved with the baby. Go for it. It will enhance the beauty of your relationship, your family will so full of love!!! You are fabulous at what you do, love what you do!! Trust yourself, trust your clients, they won't go anywhere, they will support you, they will be happy for you and Rodger!! Eat well, take your vitamins, indulge yourself in relaxation, get pregnant and enjoy every moment of becoming a mother!! Trust your team, they will carry the load and get you through, they love you, they will support you-let them. My daughter and I will continue to watch. Thank you for great entertainment. Thank you for teaching me about what is right together and what isn't, my girl already knows these things, and teaches me too. She is 23, fashion is her life. Thanks Rachel..... Best Wishes Laura

Rachael - I love your show and believe it or not, I'm a straight and happily married man. I saw you wanting to "steal" the white shearling coat / wrap in this episode. Please keep your faux fur focus and shun designers that exploit animals for nothing more than fashion. I'm not an animal activist by any means but I encourage you to be careful to only use and endorse animal parts when not the primary product and also that have been humanely “processed”. Your position and popularity provide a great opportunity to put this message out there, I trust you know the details of what your designers use. Keep up the entertaining glimpses into your fashion world, and please let go of Taylor and the hurt you cling to. You, Rodger and Brad really make my week!

Rachel, there are many women out here who admire you for being so successful and not having kids! Don't cave to all the people who think women are "real women" only if they are taking care of kids. You are an artist, you don't need to cave to social pressure to have children if you don't want them. Enjoy your life and your success. There are many of us, growing numbers of women who support your stand to not have kids. Especially don't have kids because you sister wants you to have them. Most people who talk like her to childfree/childless people actually regret the decisions they made in their own lives and are trying to get you to "buy in" so they feel better about themselves. Stay true to your art!

Hi Rachel, I have to say that I like you this year. I have watched your show off and on, but this season, I am hooked. You seem much more real and nicer without "her". I have totally enjoyed the banter with Brad and having Rodger on the show more often. Have a baby...it's never the "right time". There are millions of us working moms out here and we can do it! You can too...just don't stress so much!

dont think Brad comment about the rude girls was very nice at all. I get they were rude but seriously...what's wrong with getting those dresses on sale at saks...atleast we pay for them...you dont buy them for your clients so what's the difference. Not nice. I am a fan of the show but I thought this comment was unnecessary...remember these designers want you to "use" the clothes so that everyday people like me who watch celebs....go out and buy those dresses from places like Saks.

Ray,

You need to take a hint from Rodger. Yes you are not a lingire type of girl and yes you have been married forever but thats what makes getting it for you so exciting, it's something different. I think it was a lovely gift and if I were him my ego would've been hurt by the way you reacted. Maybe he wants to spice things up a bit and you should take the hint. With the fact that you spend so little time with him as it is, the time you do spend should be meaningful. He seems to support you so much but maybe it is time for you to show him how much you appriciate and still love him and lingire is one way to do it, give him an ego boost. All said and done I love you and the show! I love love love the clip on the fiest episode night of you trying on the newest Channel collection, everything looked so good on you. It made me think of my mother and how good she would look in that collection, wish I could afford it! I also wanted to give my input on the shoe situation... I am 5'9'' and I love shoes esp. Victoria's Secret shoes but they do not make anything cute under 4'' high and that is just too high for me and everyday wear. I wish there was more of a market for fabulous heels that are below 4'' high...maybe you could do something about that.

Thanks,

Mperry

Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, not for one minute do I think that you want a child. You have every excuse in the book for not getting pregnant. You are no kid and unless you get serious and start trying NOW, you will wake up and be 50 and the time will have passed you by. You have a stressful job but there are plenty of women out there who have or had as stressful job as you have and managed a pregnacy and child rearing. It is doable if you just put your mind to it.

You mentioned that you are a career woman. If this is how you see yourself and do not want to make time for Motherhood; then I think you should come clean with the guy and stop stringing him along.

I don't know if you watch other BRAVO shows but if you do, you should catch Bethenny Gets Married. She managed to do it all.......and has a beautiful baby girl to show for it...and her business is booming....

After seeing this week's episode, the question I'm dying to ask is when and where can we get those shoes/boots you're collaborating on with Brian Atwood? And, in preparation for the season ahead, any suggestions of "must haves?" Like your sister, I am now a Florida resident and unfortunately the concept of layers in 95 degree heat isn't always possible. Marchesa wasn't going to waste their dress on Cameron Diaz or Demi Moore, two actresses that haven't had hit movies in years. Not when they could have an Oscar nominated actress with a white-hot career in one of their gowns.

The last episode I watched @ fashion week offended me wth Brad's comment about a patron getting clothes on sale at saks as though that is a bad thing or beneath a person your viewers arent all weathy and can afford couture. This really turned me off I even purchase your items on qvc didnt think you all thought clients or patrons werent good enough. I am watching my DVR of Rachel bitching about Brad not doing a good job at Naomi Campbell Haiti fashion show. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!! If blame should be pinned on anyone, it should be YOU, Rachel! I knew I had seen that dress at the Oscars but wasn't sure who wore it. It did look great on Sandra. I'm sure it is hard for the Marchesa people to give the dress to someone who isn't a nominee when someone who is a nominee and likely winner wants to wear it.

I really enjoy your show, and you look pretty with your hair up or down.
