Hello everyone and welcome back for what we hope you think is an amazing Season 3 of the Rachel Zoe Project. Big changes are afoot at RZ Inc. and I'm sure as you saw in tonight’s episode, the biggest one is Taylor's departure.

I’d rather not go into details about what transpired, but as the episode (and fact) illustrates, we could not let her be a part of the team anymore. Sometimes in life, despite the warning signs and the advice of others, you can’t see clearly with respect to certain people…based on history, perceived loyalty or a number of other reasons. All I can say is that both Rachel and I were completely blindsided and hurt by her actions. But as the old saying goes, whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and nothing could be truer in this case.

All of a sudden a big cloud was lifted and our wonderful team shifted into high gear. With Brad stepping up and leading the charge, it cleared the way for Jordan to show us what’s she’s made of and we couldn’t be more grateful for their contributions. I can happily say that our team is drama free in terms of our relationships with each other. Now it’s time to focus on business, which is where I come in.

As last season ended, Rachel and I decided it was time for me to formally join the business. I’ve always been involved with the major decisions and, like any other couple, gave my advice when asked. But as the brand grows and the opportunities have gotten larger, Rachel really needed a partner in order to bring the business to the next level. If you think about it, all creative people have a business partner – someone they can trust with the opposite skill sets. Stay tuned for the rest of the season to see how our "partnership" and relationship is doing.
