A Gilver of Hope
Jeremiah discusses how far he's come since the jewelry pull and the trip to NYC.
"Gilver?" What the hell is gilver? HaHa! Oh, how far I have come. It’s always funny seeing scenes like the jewelry pull for Rachel's collection; it takes me right back to the moment and the pure anxiety!
The launch of Rachel's collection was such an important time. Everything in her career was leading up to this one moment. Ironically, it was a week of firsts for me all around. It was the first time I had worked a fashion show. It was the first time I had styled models for a runway-type experience. And, it was my first time working with the entire team on a job. It was a lot! Oh, and the first time I realized I had a sweat gland issue. Really chic.
I knew that the entire experience was such an important one so I wanted everything to be as perfect as I could make it. When I saw the presentation space and what it could be. . .I knew I had to step in and help. I wanted the space to feel light and pearlescent. The only thing that should be the focal point was the clothing. Using a very monochromatic color palette (whites in various tones, light lavenders), we were able to soften the masculine architecture of the space. Throw in a few flowers and Rachel's favorite scented candles, and it was ready to go!
At the end of the day, Rachel’s collection spoke for itself. The pieces are beautiful and timeless and ultimately show off the multi- faceted talents of Rachel Zoe. She knows how to make every woman feel and look like a star. I feel so fortunate to have been involved with the launch!
