Winging It

Rachel explains her lack of a birth plan, her decision to take Joey on the shoot, and why she didn't want Rodg to go to Vegas.

As usual, there is so much going on in my life and career all at once! I'm so excited to have Joey with me in L.A.! The timing could not have been any better since I was thrown into a shoot at the last minute, and I needed to rely on my team more than ever to prep everything in less than a day. Joey really showed me that not only is he ready to be on set with me, his experience on set as a hair and makeup artist really gives him a confidence with clients that can't be taught. I think he killed it on this shoot! I could tell that Jeremiah was disappointed that he didn't get to come on set with me, but Joey dies for Kim so taking him on this one just made more sense.

I'm getting more pregnant every day, and everyone in my life (especially Rodger and my sister, Pamela for instance) have been after me to really start thinking about a birth plan. Like I kept saying, "I wing things, so why not this too?" I was too afraid to over-think the birth, so Pam taking Rodger and I to meet a doula was supposed to put my mind at ease.

I literally couldn't believe that Rodg asked me if he could go to Vegas with his friends. I was so pregnant, and I couldn't believe he wanted to leave me, even if it's only for a day. I know Rodg, and I know his friends. They were gonna party like they're 25. Rodger has been so stressed out and cranky lately that I was hoping this would give him the chance to blow off some steam with the boys and come home more relaxed.

Everyone Wants to Know Where Baby 2 Is?

Rachel discusses the pressures of balancing motherhood and her career, and what moment made her most proud in this episode.

As I learned after having Skyler, life doesn't slow down when you have a baby. And of course, just as I'm getting the hang of the balancing act of being a working mom, everyone wants to know if I'm going to have a second child.

Since work always has me traveling, I headed to New York again, this time for the opening of DreamDry and a segment on Good Morning America. Rodger and I were so excited to finally see the salon completed, and it looks so amazing! My chevron floor was exactly what I was hoping for and all of the décor is as chic and glamorous as the styles that all of the cool NYC girls are going to get when they visit! I could not be more proud!

Back in LA, I styled an amazing bohemian inspired shoot for Glamour. Though the day started a bit dreary, the fog cleared just in time for blue skies to backdrop our two models dressed in Tom Ford and. . .a dress from my collection. Seeing my collection in the same shot as a Tom Ford look was literally unreal to me!
