Rachel Zoe

Rachel explains why Paris is so inspiring and why the European market is so important.

on Mar 21, 20130

There is no more maj time of year than Paris Fashion Week. The week is the ultimate inspiration for me because so many of my heroes show their latest collections in amazing and unexpected ways -- Marc Jacobs had models coming down escalators in his show for Louis Vuitton, just saying. I also lived for Valentino, Giambattista Valli, and Lanvin. . .beyond everything! Of course, I was lucky enough to stop by to say hello to Nicholas Kirkwood and preview his amazing shoes.

I'm also so personally inspired when I come to Paris to wear all of my most special pieces that I save all year long (hence the "over-packing" that drives Rodger insane). Parisians are so perpetually chic and will dress up just to pick up a baguette, so I loved hearing from Polly King that some of my favorite pieces from my collection were doing so well in Europe.

Ignore the bad comments!  You are great at your job, Rachel! Love it!!! How many people can actually attend those fashion shows like in Paris???? NOT many!!!!! Love your show and will keep watching.

This show is so lame. I agree ,grow up with the language. Rachel, your look is old and boring. Change it up. And as for Rog Rog, LAME.... Your crew just placates you. Sky-Sky, really????

You all are so ridiculous.........

Rachel,

How do you do it? You have a gorgeous family, you are a very successful stylist, and now developing and growing as a designer. It's admirable to see that you are so driven; thank you for being such a good example to women who want to have it all. It certainly not an easy feat.

I've loved the Rachel Zoe show, from the beginning.  Also love her newest collection. I've recently watched the annual show on the BET network - " Rip the Runway".  Designers from Patrica Fields to lie-sang-bong to Malgorzata Dudek,  showed some incredible fashions. Perhaps next yr, Rachel Zoe may offer some of her designs also. Many women of color (all ages),  wear long dresses for  work & shopping. In last week's episode, Rachel seems surprised about the slow sales w/ some of her wonderful long dresses. They are so comfortable at work, & easy changing for shopping trips. Looking forward to tonight's show.

I have loved watching your show every season...This season I am not enjoying it at all. You are coming across as less natural (always posed) and somewhat egotistical. Very happy you have your own line, but STOP talking about it while watching some if the greatest designers in history. You might not mean to, but it comes across as you consider yourself in that league. Hard to watch this year...feels like ego and not real.

I am so happy whenever your show comes back on the air! Skyler is sooo cute, your designs are gorgeous, and I always laugh (got to admit you on the carousel was hilarious). The Paris episodes are always my favorite ones, love that city! With all the fabulous pieces you own, over-packing is worth it!

See my reply to seb1125. I love this show and I love her designs but I don't love the way she speaks.

That was a good show, Rach. That scene at Montaigne Market had to be the greatest for you! Thanks for sharing!

I actually feel sorry for Rachel. She has put her career over her husband and family which is fleeting. In the beginning, I liked Rachel but she has changed into an egotisical maniac with little regard to people and especially her husband. Come back to reality because in the end it's your family that matters, that's if they are still there in the end.

@seb1125 Thank you, she makes me crazy with the Sky, Sky. You give a child a name for a reason, the poor kid will grow up so confused. Don't call your staff or friends "Bitches" how high school is that. Not to mention how all those who surround her sound like her, the same inflection to their sentences. Add 30 years to her and imagine an older lady speaking like she does. "Just sayin" :)

ttgg, not hating at all. I use to LOVE Rachel Zoe & her show. I use to love when she said "BANANAS" - loved her cute personality too! But she has changed dramatically. She's so OVER-THE-TOP on all the stupid things she now says. I had wondered why Roger said something in the 1st episode regarding being dumb, but now I completly get it. People & viewers liked (I think) the "bananas" saying, but as for this 'cray-cray' & 'maj-maj' & so on, & so on & so on, it's just too much. She's trying WAY TOO HARD to sound like a 15 year old Valley Girl, which she is NOT.No hating, I promise. It's just the truth. When she tones it down, or Bravo tones her down I'll be back & happy to watch!

@Joannie1  @seb1125 I agree with the language and inflections. I can understand sweet lovey names for your child.  But everyone seems to just copycat her. I could not believe how focused she was on her dang bangs and talking to everyone like this was a major deal.  Her language and comments to the best designers are always the same, pretty standard and flat.  Uuugh! Hard to watch. I only watch to see the other designers.
