According to The Real Housewives of Atlanta singer/songwriter Kandi Burruss, she and husband, Todd Tucker, were asked to leave an Hawaiian Airlines flight this week. In a video posted to Instagram on Thursday, she opened up about the incident.
"Never ride Hawaiian Airlines, they just kicked us off of the plane for absolutely no reason," she said in a video filmed right outside the plane's door. "It's ridiculous. I was sitting in my seat [and] their people came and said that our seat wasn't registering. So they took our ticket and walked off the plane. But my ticket had my baggage stub on the back so when the other guy came and plane started rolling off, I said, 'Hey, he never brought us our ticket back. It has our baggage claim stub on it.' And so they went and called, and they came back and was like, 'Well, the pilot decided he wanted to kick us off the plane because we caused so much commotion.' I didn't even say anything."
Kandi later spoke to PEOPLE about the incident, revealing that it took place due to an mistake in the airline's system. "I am still appalled at how poorly we were treated due to an error on their part," she said.
While it's unclear what happened after that, pal Peter Thomas did share a photo of himself alongside Kandi and Todd, which was tagged with the location Honolulu International Airport. "@kandiburruss @todd167 NOT HAPPY WITH THE BULLS*** THAT JUST HAPPEN....." he wrote on Instagram.
