The Internet lit up with feedback after Kim Kardashian was held up by masked gunmen in Paris and robbed of more than $10 million in jewelry. Among those responding was The Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes, who posted a message on Facebook that both supported Kim and also connected to a personal detail in her own life.
"This is SO damn scary!" she wrote. "Had a similar incident myself a few days ago so I totally feel for the girl. Absolutely terrifying."
She didn't elaborate on the specifics of her own experience, and didn't respond to Jet Set through her representatives in time for this story. But we have an idea of the moment she was referring to.
Just days ago, NeNe's son Brentt was trying to help his mom on her "So Nasty, So Rude" comedy tour by selling her merchandise in Chicago — when he got robbed by a fan. According to TMZ's police sources, the fan demanded a refund, but when 17-year-old Brentt didn't comply, the fan stole a backpack containing his wallet and laptop computer. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt in the drama.
As more shocking details continued to roll in regarding Kim's attack, NeNe continued to post her support. "I seriously CANNOT believe what she went through," she wrote. "I would be completely traumatized!"
Then later, she made it triply clear that she was on the team of Kim's supporters, and not a part of her doubters and haters. She wrote, "As per usual, the trolls came out, and these celebs shut them the F down! (Chrissy Teigen's rant was epic, obviously!)"
