"Who Gon' Check Me, Boo?"

Sheree speaks out about the season premiere, the party planning showdown, and more!

By Shereé Whitfield

First off I would like to thank all of our loyal viewers for tuning in to the premiere in such large numbers. You are the best. I also want to thank you all for your positive feedback and I appreciate hearing from all of you. Believe me when I say, a lot of it helped me get through my day, it has not been easy.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Moving. Watching the first episode was very emotional for me. The circumstances that I was in at the time is something that I would never wish on anyone. It was really hard trying to remain strong in the presence of my kids, knowing at times I felt like breaking down. I now realize that the sudden move was God's way of telling me that it's my time to move on. I'm happy now, I'm focusing on building my new life and business and feeling inspired to do the things I couldn't do before. I'm finally at a point in my life where I feel like I'm moving forward and enjoying life. Today I'm in a much better place mentally and emotionally than I was four years ago or even one year ago. I am at peace now!

Niecy Nash's party. I was invited to come to a party by a local photographer and it was mentioned that Niecy Nash was going to be in attendance. Unfortunately, they failed to tell me that it was her birthday party, I didn't get that memo. So how hilarious, that I'm on the red carpet and get asked about a birthday and I reply "Whose birthday?" I felt so bad watching that, but I honestly didn't know. My 9 year old called me after watching and said, " Mommy who goes to a birthday party and don't know whose party it is?!?" All in all I had a good time at the party and Niecy Nash looked wonderful! Niecy texted me and said don't worry about it, she said she had been on tons of red carpets and didn't know whose event it was!!! LOL

Leading up to Niecy Nash's party, Nene, Lisa and I all realized that Kim had been calling each of us talking about the others very negatively. I guess she didn't think that we all would talk!

Meeting up with NeNe. I decided to reach out to NeNe, I felt like we needed to sit down and put the past behind us. Life is too short. I think that is was long over due seeing that we've known each other for so long and we've never had a problem before. I'm glad we were able to get together and settle our differences. Our kids enjoy playing together.

The party planner. You guys know l love a good party and what better way to celebrate my new found happiness and independence than to surround myself with the people I know and love. A friend of a friend introduced me to a so-called party planner named Anthony/Tyson. I say Anthony/Tyson because in our initial introduction he introduced himself as Tyson, then when the cameras came around he asked to be called Anthony, go figure! Anthony/Tyson wanted so badly to be involved he offered to plan this party gratis as an opportunity to possibly do future work for me as well as RHOA. I was looking forward to working with him. Anthony/Tyson sold us on the idea that he had so many relationships with different vendors, celebs and locations. When after 3 meetings we figured out it was Keisha Walker with the contacts and knowledge. Unfortunately, Anthony/Tyson wasn't able to deliver ANY of the things that he promised. From the beginning I was told to just show up and everything would be taken care of which is something that I would never want to do. Being that the party would be a reflection of me, I wanted to be involved and I let that be known from day 1. Anthony's claims and promises quickly began to fall apart. As I began to inquire about the details of the party, Anthony began to be disrespectful, rude and unprofessional to say the least. You guys saw what happened for the most part on the show, but in person he came off much more threatening, violent and angry. Anthony stood up to hit me with his closed fist once (in which someone from his team grabbed him and pulled him out of the room) he returned yelling and this time he raised his to slap me with an open hand. Most of the content which I'm depicting was edited out due to his violent nature. There are no words to express how I was feeling. I was in total shock and in complete disbelief that a so-called professional person can be so rude, tacky, unprofessional, unethical, violent, and incompetent. Anthony disrespected my family, not only did he call me out of my name repeatedly, he also disrespected my mother whom which he has never met!

I think there are opportunists out there who are willing to do whatever it takes to secure a spot even if it means risking their livelihood for fame. After that fiasco, I made up my mind that I would never talk or work with Anthony/Tyson ever! He actually had the audacity to continue to promote for a party using my name when I clearly stated to him as well as his staff when they tried calling me that I would have absolutely nothing to do with him or any party he was working on. He continued to do radio promotions, to send email blasts and make phone calls using my name! I even received phone calls from a photographer that attended and said Anthony/Tyson would have someone on the mic saying things like "Sheree" is on the way, then "Sheree" is pulling up, even went as far as to part the crowd telling them that I was walking though. Anthony/Tyson Shorter was the ultimate so-called party planner from hell. I hope to never encounter anyone of his kind again!!!

By the way, after hearing him say Google me, I decided to do just that after I regained my calmness...I Googled, I did a Yahoo search, an AOL search, an MSN search, and even Wikipedia and at that time, there was absolutely nothing on Anthony/Tyson Shorter!
