Family Over Fame

Kim's been working hard for the money recently, but family is still the #1 priority.

By Kim Zolciak-Biermann

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

This episode was absolutely hilarious! Where do I start?

I had my parents over for both of their birthdays, because they're only four days apart. It's always great seeing them, because they always have good advice and keep me laughing. I am really close to my parents, and my girls love their "Nana and Poppy." My parents said it had been six months since I've seen them, which is crazy to me because we used to be together every Sunday. I am the only provider for my girls, therefore I have to travel and make a living somehow. Which in turn means I can't be at my parents' house every Sunday like I used to be when I was working as a nurse. My Mom teases me with her famous line, "Fame over family." She knows in her heart that I don't think that's true! Ariana did get baptized (without any help from Big Poppa). My girls go to Catholic school and attend church there daily, so it was NOT a problem.

TO CLEAR SOMETHING UP: I did NOT say I was, "With Big Poppa," I said, "Big Poppa is back in my life," meaning we reconnected once again as friends. We weren't speaking for months prior to that, and I really missed our friendship.

I went to see Kandi to express to her that I wanted to do a new song, "Ring Didn't Mean a Thing." My other song "Tardy for the Party" did so well, and after the White Party I decided I wanted to do more music. I did give Kandi money for "Tardy for the Party," and I certainly will pay her for any future songs she may do.

NeNe decided to get some cosmetic surgery (good for her), and it was important to me to bring her some flowers and check up on her. The whole time I was wondering, "Where Gregg?" I know NeNe and Gregg have been going through some things, but at the end of the day, he should have been there. I mean, he IS her husband. She needed his support and clearly she wanted him there. On a side note, I think NeNe looks great!

Cynthia had me laughing out loud. "Phaedra looked like a black Tammy Faye Baker and Dwight looked like Willy Wonka." TOO FUNNY! I really did think I was at the "Nutcracker" or the circus. I never got the memo I needed to wear a BIG hat until that afternoon when NeNe called me and told me, thankgoodness. But a HAT at a baby shower? NO THANK YOU, I can't be messing up my WIG and all!

Phaedra's baby shower was a little bit too much. Like I said "Just sit in you f---ing rocking chair, open some gifts, have some cake, and call it a day."

Remember the show moves to SUNDAY NIGHTS starting November 7th at 10/9c!
