What better way to start the week than with the Atlanta ladies, right? At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the move to Sunday, but just as my preemptive case of the Mondays began to set in last night, NeNe came along to snap me out of it with her unspeakable sass. I was then able to drift to sleep stress free to the dulcet tones of Kim's singing.
Now before we dive in, I do have to address "Sf Fan" who noted last week that NeNe's comments at Cynthia's brunch should have made the list. I have to admit that when she said she wasn't putting candied yams or a peppermint candy in her va jay jay, I lost it. It's difficult only choosing three moments! That's why I love hearing what you guys think, so keep the comments coming.
The #3 moment goes to Lawrence's meeting with Kandi. I LOVE that she wants to make him the next RuPaul. And who knew Lawrence could sing like that? This performing arts high school he and Kandi attended must be pretty amazing. I'm imagining it as the "Fame" school with Southern flare. Forget "Closet Freak" (Why are they so desperate to make that phrase happen?), how amazing would a dance version of "I Sing the Body Electric" be as done by Lawrence? However, I must say, the real star of that scene was Lawrence's fierce high-heel clogs. To use Lawrence's own words, "This shoe is DISGUSTING!"
The yard sale took the #2 spot this week. Where to begin? Ariana saying, "I never thought we'd be working on the streets," Kim drinking wine at 9 am out of a coffee mug, seeing Kim's middle school yearbook picture … a yard sale full of wonders! I can only imagine what other hidden gems could have been hiding in the drawers of Kim's bureau. I think NeNe's guesses were pretty good though, "Wigs, a dead body, an old Big Poppa…" But really wouldn't the best find be some old cassettes of Kim singing as a child, back when she was just a young girl with big hair and big dreams? She should really consider penning a Lifetime movie about her career.
