Bienvenidos to Miami!

Cynthia thought the Miami trip was a drama-free blast.

Bienvenidos to Miami! NeNe invited Kandi and me to Miami for an all-girls weekend, and it certainly was just that. Literally an ALL girls weekend! What happens in Miami, stays in Miami right? Well, not really, but we will get to that later.

Here we go! I have been extremely busy with married life, motherhood, and opening up The Bailey Agency, so I welcomed the beautiful sands of South Beach with open arms. I could not wait to jump into my two-piece and spend some time with the girls. We had a blast! There was very little drama, and we got along great. Kandi was cool, and I think we all genuinely had a good time together. We all connected on this trip as smart business women who are making big things happen in our own way. It was a weekend of delicious cocktails, great food, clubbing, and "girl power" at its finest. Lots and lots of "girl power"! I did not attend Kim's birthday party, because I was not invited. We really don't know each other that well, so it was no surprise not to get an invite. Those special moments should be reserved for your closest friends and family. I can respect that, and I wish her a happy birthday all the same. However, I was a little surprised that on such a joyous occasion my name even came up. I thought the way the girls talked about NeNe was mean and offensive. The use of the B word and speaking in such a negative manner in front of children at a birthday celebration was just irresponsible. Where was the eating cake and ice cream and opening presents?

Kim doesn't seem to think I have a backbone, because I'm friends with NeNe. I have enough of a backbone to respect the union of marriage and not date another woman's husband. Or did we forget about that? I really don't understand why NeNe and Kim's breakup has anything to do with me. I don't have an issue with Kim. Or any of the other girls for that matter. They makeup and breakup when they are ready, and it's all good. I am close with NeNe, Kandi  is close with Phaedra, and Kim is close with Sheree.  What's the problem?
At the end of the day, it's so easy to be nasty, and that takes very little effort and zero talent. Calling other women the B word all day has to be exhausting mentally and spiritually. I thought new love and pregnancy were happy times where you embrace life and positivity. Motherhood is beautiful, and being in love is the cherry on top! Rest assured, I have a backbone and very beautiful cheek bones to go with it. Enjoy your wonderful blessings and I will enjoy mine.

Warmly,
Cynthia

Demetria: I Have No Beef with Kenya

Demetria McKinney addresses the Roger Bobb situation.

Bravotv.com: When did you and Cynthia originally meet?
Demetria McKinney: Cynthia Bailey and I have been really cool for a couple of years now. We run in similar social circles, and I've always loved her spirit.

Bravotv.com: Did you feel like you and Kenya resolved the issue over her photo with Roger Bobb?
DM: As for me and Kenya…hmm. Just a couple of discrepancies: She didn't know me, but remembered meeting me with Nicci. She has no interest in Roger, but got all gussied up to see him at my event and threw shade galore when he claimed me. OK, girl! LOL! As for the picture, the fact that she was in it wasn't the issue. I've been in a relationship on and off for 8 years, and when the media was loudly connecting him to someone else, I didn't like it. Period. It could've been Strawberry Shortcake, it could've been Whoopi Goldberg. The fact that I was ready to be out about us was the issue. Kenya's picture just happened to be the last straw (speaking of straw, hey NeNe). So, yeah, I have no beef with Kenya. Not worried or bothered, I'm actually looking for opportunities to celebrate each of these women!

Bravotv.com: Was it tough when Roger wasn’t able to make it to your video release party?
DM: My bae, Roger, wasn't able to be there due to WORK! Hallelujah, he is not a kept man! Thank you, Jesus, Roger is a provider not only of what is needed but also a man who will do what has to be done to make his woman's dream come true. We support each other, and if he could've been there, he would've. My heart missed him, my mind knew he missed me.

Bravotv.com: What was your first impression of all the ladies?
DM: My first impressions of the ladies…
Cynthia: Beauty and class doesn't fade
Claudia: She's stupid! LOL!
Kandi: Cool
Phaedra: Wasn't she Bobby Brown's lawyer?
Porsha: ?
Kenya: Bet you won't forget me now! LOL!

Bravotv.com: Were you disappointed that all the ladies left when the video didn’t work? Did you eventually get it to play?
DM: My video didn't play, I was a bit disappointed, but having been in the industry for this long, I know sh-- happens. You roll with the hand given to you, and you learn for the next time. Could the ladies have stayed? Sure. But if they weren't going to offer anything positive, it was probably best that they exited.
