Tough Love

Cynthia really felt for NeNe as she dealt with the Bryson drama.

South Africa was amazing! The ten day vacation with the girls will be remembered forever.  Even though there was drama, I choose to remember the genuine moments that we shared together, like at the orphanage. That was my favorite day! I know that I am forever humbled and truly blessed. Those children will be forever in my prayers and in my heart.

Were baaack! It always feels good to get away for a few days, but with these girls, ten days felt like ten years! Lord have mercy! At times it was kind of like walking through a land mine, and if you didn't watch your step, you could be blasted at any time! Anything and everything you said was blown out of proportion, everything was a big deal (even when it wasn't), and there was "shade" around every corner. Forever the optimist, the good always outweighs the bad with me. Positive affirmation will carry you far. The drama was inevitable on a trip like this. It was just a matter of time. Overall, drama or not, it was still the trip of a lifetime. Anyway, I missed my family so much and it felt good to be back home. On the subject of Bryson, honestly, I understood both points of view. As a mother myself, if my child committed a small, stupid, low-level crime and ended up in jail, I would want to teach them a lesson for sure. However, I would never want my child in a situation that could be dangerous or even fatal. I would worry myself to death! I believe in tough love, but I guess you really don't know how you will react until you are actually put in that situation. My heart really went out to NeNe, because I knew what she was going through. She was very conflicted, because even though Bryson is a young man, he is still her baby.  I'm just glad Bryson is OK, and I hope he learned his lesson. If he goes back again, Lord help him, because NeNe may just call the judge herself and tell him to keep him in there!

I'm excited that Peter wants to do a one year anniversary party. We went through a lot at our wedding (understatement), and it was a tough first year. However, we made it to our one-year anniversary despite the naysayers. I'm actually very excited to celebrate! We are not working with a Diddy budget or anything, but we can definitely afford to have a nice little gathering with our friends and family. Yes! There will be plenty of food and drinks, but I'm not sure if synchronized swimming mermaids in the pool will be in the budget! Thank you, NeNe, for helping Peter plan the party. Your love and support means a lot. I have commented on the issues in this episode that were important to me. I already addressed some of the smaller issues in my last blog. I'm done and moving on.  As always thank you everyone for watching the show. Your love and support is always appreciated.

Sending lots of love,

Cynthia

Phaedra: I Was Disappointed with Cynthia

Phaedra Parks weighs in on Cynthia Bailey's "classless" behavior.

Bravotv.com: Why did you decide to perform an exorcism at the house? Do you think it helped?

Phaedra Parks: I was raised in the church. Both of my parents are pastors along with eight of my uncles. I believe in spirits and energy. The energy in my home was noticeably different so I wanted my Apostle to bless and tarry in our home in an effort to bring a renewed and positive energy into the house. Regardless of whether or not you believe doing such a thing actually works, it is a way for all of us to reset ourselves, let go of the negativity, and move forward with our lives. I know prayer changes things and calms the atmosphere. Following Apostle Canada's visit we rested better and there was a spirit of peace and tranquility in our home. We have begun the next chapter of our lives and are focused on the future.

Bravotv.com: You and NeNe have grown a lot closer. How did that come about?

PP: I consider NeNe a good friend. We have not always been on the same page, however we have found a common ground of being like-minded, successful entrepreneurs and mothers of sons. When I needed a friend the most, she was there and I will always remember that. It is easy to find friends when life is going well, but it is the ones who are willing to support you during the storms that matter. During the months when my life was spinning out of control, NeNe called me every single day to see how I was doing despite her busy schedule. She sent encouraging text messages when she could not reach me. I was grateful that I had her and Porsha in my corner because they helped me through some of my most difficult days.

Bravotv.com: What was going through your head when Kenya brought up the rumor?

PP: Well, in actuality it was Cynthia who brought up the rumor. I was disappointed that Cynthia, a fellow wife and mother, would be so insensitive to repeat such an absurd notion less than 24 hours following my husband’s incarceration and the drama that occurred with it. At no point have Cynthia and Peter ever reached out to check on me or my children. I was amazed that she was more interested in spreading a lie than supporting me as a woman and newly single mother. I guess the purported class she touts must have been on winter break, because that was the most classless thing I have ever witnessed.

As far as Kenya is concerned, I never expect much from her, but as always her obsessive interest in my life, plus her extreme actions and emotional state, further corroborate the affair between her and Apollo.
