Who Wore it Best: NeNe or Derek J.?

Derek J. shares his thoughts on this week's drama (and fashions).

Hey people!

Can I just start by saying that things are finally starting to get good! I’d first like to give Phaedra a shout out for cleaning up her lie from last week with that apology and the big ass bouquet. I guess that’s how Southern girls do it, lie to your face and then give you a gift! I need sunglasses because the shade is real!

Speaking of Phaedra, it looks like “Miss America” (or USA, whatever!) may be on the prowl. I guarantee you, if she keeps that up, Phaedra is going to be buying a lot of flowers because I think she’ll be hitting Kenya with a two-piece combo (fists!). Everybody knows, you don’t mess with Phaedra’s man. I’ll keep you posted on any dirt I get about that.

Let’s talk about Kim. Whether she left, got evicted, or whatever else you want to call it, she’s back in the townhouse and she said it’s “sh-- everywhere.” Maybe she needs to be reorganizing instead of worrying about Kandi’s neighborhood. Kandi definitely has enough space in her house! I’m just sayin’!

Now, I’ll shift to learning. I promise, I learned that there were 365 days in a year in like kindergarten. Really, Porsha? I’m sure she’s caught enough slack on that comment, so I won’t go all the way in, but NeNe was right, where do you live girl?! 265 days? Lord, help her and help those new babies that she’s trying to have. We don’t want them to grow up thinking that there are 48 hours in a day and 4 days in a week.
I have to give a shout-out to Kandi, NeNe, and Cynthia. They held it down this week. Kandi pulled one of her boss moves and invited Kenya on the group trip. You know she likes drama, so she new it would be entertaining to get Kenya, Cynthia, and Porsha on an island to see who would survive. That’s Detroit vs. Atlanta and Alabama. That should be a good one!

Speaking of Cynthia, I’ll give it to you girl, you were serving looks this week! The flat press, the beret, and the bun all in one episode? You better show them where your coins come from and treat this show like a shoot! I love it! I’ll also say this seems like Cynthia may be starting to step up to the plate and really getting into the game, and of course Peter has her back. A trip to Anguilla? I guess it pays to know people in power positions. Work, Cynthia!

I can’t leave without saying how damn funny NeNe is! This girl is always on and she’s NEVER scared. I will say, she tried to steal my style, rocking the shorts, heels and showing a little cleavage! I see you, boo!
Well, I’m going to run, because of course I have fabulous things to do. NY, I’ll be in your area this week and for the rest of you, talk to you next week!

I would give you some early tea on what’s going to happen, but nope…I’ll wait. It’s a mess though, and I know you’re going to love it!

Cynthia: "I Pray We Can Make Peace"

Cynthia Bailey dishes on the make up with NeNe Leakes as well as her runway walk at Fashion Week.

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Let's jump right on in.

YOU HAVE TO GIVE RESPECT TO GET RESPECT
Once I had the opportunity to speak at the dinner table, my only issue was respect, or me feeling the lack thereof. I did not feel like the respect that I had for NeNe and her husband was being reciprocated. She has called my husband out of his name too many times to count, and still continues to do so. Until this day, I have never disrespected her husband. I believe in boundaries, and even in anger certain lines should never be crossed. There is an unspoken trust and confidentiality between friends regardless of the state of the relationship. If I felt like I could have called NeNe, and had my feelings and concerns met with an open mind and an open heart, I would have. However, we stopped communicating months before we filmed the reunion; therefore a one-on-one sit down wasn't an option. Honesty between friends should always be appreciated, especially when it's coming from a loving place. Friends applaud each other's triumphs, and check each other when they are wrong. As grown, successful, and professional women, I pray we can make peace through forgiveness of each other's faults, and can arrive at a true place of support and respect for each other. I am moving forward in grace.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
The only thing I love more than New York is New York Fashion Week! I was so excited to walk alongside two of my models from The Bailey Agency School of Fashion, Nisaa Pouncey and Chelsea Lee, in my longtime friend Kithe Brewster's Fashion show. The girls exceeded my expectations and gave me confirmation that my little school that I opened just four years ago was indeed making dreams come true! I was also asked by one of my favorite designers, Betsey Johnson, to walk in her show as well! As a woman who embraces her age, I was proud to represent the older and curvier woman during Fashion Week. Although it has always been the industry standard to use mostly younger, thinner models, I applaud designers like Betsey Johnson and Kithe Brewster for showing some "real women" on the runway as well. I hope that this is a trend, and in the future others designers follow suit. I was so excited to have Peter, Kenya, Kandi, Todd, and Noelle's dad, Leon, in New York to support me (and my big butt)!
