November is always a month of deep reflection and jubilee for me. During November, we celebrate my husband’s birthday, our wedding anniversary, and of course, Thanksgiving. While November is the ideal month to reflect upon all of the many blessings we are thankful for, it is also the perfect time to take inventory of how we can bless others. One of the things that I am most thankful for is my wonderful family that always support my business ventures. In this week’s episode you see my husband and I talking about our new fitness video venture. As advocates of wellness, physical activity, and healthy eating, my husband and I developed a workout video that promotes healthy active lifestyles for people of all ages and sizes. And of course, there are moves to help women achieve the donkey booty that we all long for. The video will be hitting shelves real soon! Stay tuned to http://www.nidafitness.com and follow us on Twitter @NidaFitness for daily health/fitness facts and up to date information on the release of the video!
Our new cast member Porsha was introduced during this week’s episode. Despite Porsha’s inaccurate comments about the philanthropic endeavors of NeNe, Kandi, and me, it is evident that each of us are quite committed to our community. Kandi continuously lends her time, talent, and financial resources to numerous causes benefitting children. This year, NeNe partnered with shoedazzle to create a shoe for the sole purpose of giving all proceeds to charity. I sit on the board of numerous not for profit organizations volunteering my time, talents, and financial resources. Anyone who knows me is aware of my ongoing commitment to plights centered on education and the support/advocacy of at risk women and children. To learn more about the charities I support, please visit my website at http://www.phaedraparks.com.
I'm not sure how you kept it cool with Kenya during her many bouts of foolishness... Shamelessly flirting with Apollo at the table when you first introduced them, again at the go-cart racing place, and then the biggest NO was the scene in Anguilla when she pushed him into the pool. She crossed the line so many times!!! The girl has no class and really needs to be booted from the RHOA cast. She adds NOTHING to the show!!!
I appreciate you, Phaedra, for always keeping it classy! Even in uncomfortable situations, you maintain a calm and peaceful demeanor.
Phadera, You are always around when there is drama, but somehow you manage to remain classy, act like a lady and stay out of it . I can't stand Kenya, how dare she disrespect you and her boyfriend by flirting with your husband, he is gorgeous but he is YOUR husband Little Ayden is the cutest little guy ever,.telling you he had $10 dollars for his haircut .. Adorable !!
I would stay as far away as possible from Kenya .. she is a self-important snake !!
I adore you Phadera, really I do, but you should have come clean about the Cynthia comment. Other than that, your son is so handsome and wish you all the best your fitness video and funeral business ventures.
...Since you haven't had a chance to put up a new blog, I thought I'd just address the Cynthia issue on this one. I hope you read it...
I wish you would have admitted to Cynthia that you made the comment. You diminished your credibility by changing the subject (might I add how annoying doing this in general can be?). If you still have issues with Cynthia, you should have just said and kept a cordial distance from her.
Cynthia was asking her to recall a conversation that was between Phadera & whoever...& who know's when. Cynthia herself has trouble remembering conversations. Cynthia, NeNe & the others weren't there, so it's no wonder Phadera was having trouble recalling what was probably a stupid comment made late at night after she worked her butt off all day.
Phaedra, you should always remember that you are an attorney and with other businesses. What you say, how you act and your creditability can jeopardize them all. You have portrayed yourself in an admirable way and I hope that you will think twice not to do anything just for publicity and BRAVO. You have a beautiful family and you have a great sense of humor. I wish you and your family the best.
Hi Phaedra, I'm disapointed that you called Cynthia the F word concering your son's birthday. Since Nov. is your month for deep reflection I think you need to reflect on that.
I don't watch much of any Housewife shows anymore...the New Jersey show had so much ugliness that it's turned me off...I do however stop the channel surfing when I see you on the screen...you make me laugh!
''Everybody knows'' you should be careful what you say on national TV so it doesn't come out wrong!
You and Kandi are the two who seems to have it together. Kim is cool but she is a nut!
Phaedra, I like the way that you basically stay away from all of the drama. You usually remain cool and calm even if you are being criticized or confronted. However I can tell that you do hold grudges inside of you when you don't like what a cassmate has done or said about you or Apollo in the past. But you will still talk and carry on with them. You don't like Cynthia and NeNe probably because of something that they have said in the past. But I have never heard Cynthia say anything about you on the show. She has always been cordial to you. But you lied when she confronted you about you saying that you didn't give a fu#k if she came to your son's birthday party, and you said that didn't say that and that you don't even use that word. But when she pulled out the tape of you saying it, you could have been bought for a nickel. (That is on next week's episode.) It reminds me of how you lied to everyone about your due date when you were pregnant. I still like you. You are a business woman and you are entertaining and sometimes funny, but I do think that you can be fake and phony about some things. And I don't care for that part of you.
Porsha is young and immature and she seems spoiled and all about being preppy. She is definetely not the one in her family that should be representing The Hosea Williams Foundation. She doesn't have it takes to host an event of it's caliber. The event seemed more like an anniversary party for her and her husband than a charity event.
You are one of my favorite housewives! You are smart, funny, and a bit of a strange bird...I love it! I think Porche is very young, and spoiled. I am not sure she really understands charity to it's fullest extent, and that is scary for the Hosea organization, because she is representing it and unfortunately what I saw last week was not flattering, and I would have to say she fell short. :( I do like how you are taking Kenya under your wing. I think she needs that, and hope she is able to overcome some of her insecurities and bitterness issues, because I do believe she will shine and be a great wife and mother one day, if she can feel love and learn to trust more. I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and Anniversary!
lookimjustsaying I agree, someone needs to take Kenya under their wing! I think she has been hurt a lot, obviously by her own mother, and it is making her make some bad choices. I do hope that Phaedra can help her. Kenya is beautiful and really doesn't need to make all of the self proclamations. The viewers will forgive her if she cleans up her act. But, she better not wait too long. :)
You have class, a wonderful family, and you handle your business! Please keep doing what you are doing. I enjoy watching you on the show becaue you show black women in a positive light. I'm so tired of the sterotypical loud mouth head rolling black women that some of the other cast members display.
divamommy2315 Well said! I'm not a black woman, but I am a southern woman and get tired of the stereotypical displays of us on tv.
Hi Phaedra, your son is so cute. you and apollo make a cute couple. Porsha made it seem like you guys don't contribute to anything. Porsha's charity was all about her self her hubby shows up and talks about her wife I never been to a charity but know that is not how a charity functions. Can we say self-absorbed?? UGH!!! And then messes up Kenya former title and dismisses it like it was nothing and laughs about it. I don't blame Kenya for leaving. looking forward to the next episode and I wish you all a Happy Holidays.
Your my Favorite Housewife.Kenya continually says you and she are a lot alike.I dont see it.She has a attitude and looks for the worse in everyone. You are just keep it real and allow for things to roll off your back. You can be harsh if you are attacked but,you dont loose your composer and you do talk to person face to face. You re a true southern belle,Kenya is,I dont know......
@ Phaedra Parks YOUR A WOMAN OF AMAZING SUPERFICIAL INFLUENCE!! YOUR INCREBILY GIFTED WITH THE ART OF LISTENING,THINKING THEN SPEAKING THAT'S WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT YOU.
THAT HOWEVER IS A GIFT MOST OF US DON'T HAVE.KEEP WORKING HARD, KEEP LOVING AND KEEP THEE DONKEY BOOTY CLASSY AS ALWAYS
LFraise Superficial influence? Did you mean to say that she has about as much influence as a slug? I don't think that superficial is the word you meant use since the rest of your blog was glowing.
@debharrington @LFraise It's like when porshas husband said how proud he was that his wife was exploiting her grandfathers foundation. I love Phaedra tho, big fan of that southern bell. Just think its funny how people use words thinking they are giving a compliment, when really they're doing the opposite!
I love how you support and defend the other housewives. This, is what we sane viewers want to see! Happy thanksgiving to you and yours. I wish , as a native, I felt better about it, but seeing people Be grateful, hey, who can complain?
Isee I totally agree. It is really nice to see someone who wishes everyone the best in their endeavors.
Your son is too cute! I enjoy watching you and your husband. There is something sweet about you two.
i have always liked you and respected your accomplishments as a professional, wife and mom. i also always felt that for the most part you tried to keep out of the drama. half the season may already be on tape so i hope its not too late. i didn't like what i saw of you saying you didn't give an f if cynthia came to your son's party. i hope you were either just shooting the stuff or having a bad day. I hope you're not trying to play the villian, cause it will only make folks turn on you. watch the other franchises and learn.
People sometimes use the term "lady," incorrectly. I want to say that you are the true meaning of the word, "lady."
I really appreciate your blog Phaedra short but sweet. However, I wish that you would have mention somethings that happen on the episode prior due to that fact you didn't write a blog last week but at this point it is nether here or there.
About what Porsha said about you ladies contribution to her grand-father's legendary charity is really a disconnect. She did mention that you all come and take picture but she did say you all do give time. Maybe this needs to come up at the reunion because this has left me confused about you ladies contribution to the Hosea Williams Foundation.
FYI: You mention all the stuff you do for other foundations but didn't mention anything you do for the Hosea Williams Foundation so please do not be mad if I side with Porsha on this until I find out the truth.
Rashad007 Wasn't how Phaedra supports the Hosea Wms. Foundation already addressed? She has donated money, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is what Porsha told Kenya. Either way, whether Phaedra and the others donate their time, money, talent or name to any cause is still a contribution.
I like to watch Phaedra and her family also, but I have to side with Nene , Phaedra is fake and not honest, just as she was when prego she lied about knowning her due date cause, she wasnt married when she got prego..and now she lies about she dont use F##K, as it is recorded and heard on next week show.. FAKE PHAEDRA..... HappY Trukey Day !
Rashad007 I think the more troubling thing is Porsha being presented with an extravagant (and unnecessary by the way) gift at an event that is trying to raise money for people who live in extreme poverty. It makes you wonder who benefits more, the charity or the organizers?
Phaedra thanks for sharing with us, but really thanks for all your giving... I've been able to see that you do have a giving spirit... I'm so glad that you and your husband with stood the test of Kenya... " KEEP YOUR FAMILY TOGETHER" I'll be PRAYING for you girl...
I can't wait to see the entire season, and look for us to have a lot to say week by week...
Hi phaedra, I always enjoy reading your blog. I love what you said about you, nene and kandi supporting charites. I hope you, your family and the other ladies enjoy your holidays.
#clearupthefog, Thanks for setting the record straight bc she clearly threw yall up under the bus and then had the nerve to say she didnt say it. But dont worry bc as the world saw she clearly threw herself up under that same bus she threw yall under when her and her husband displayed inappropriate behavior at the supposedly charity event that ended up being a "Look at what I got I got a husband, a chanel bag, and chanel cake" event! #yallwon and #she loss ha ha ha
