New friends, new hobbies, new experiences -- it was Housewives without borders in Atlanta this week. Although some things never change, like the fighting and the fact that no one can remember Kenya is Miss USA not Miss America. More on that later. Let's look back at the top three moments from the episode.
No. 3 - The NeNe Underground
Part of NeNe's new life as an actress involves coming to New York. And as Cynthia points out, you can't always rely on having a Towncar come pick you up to get around. (As someone who has desperately sought a cab to no avail many times in my life, I can't help but agree.) So Cynthia begins the "turn NeNe into a New Yorker" crusade. This evidently involves getting her to ride the subway and eat a hot dog. I can think of a few more valuable New York skills, but you have to start somewhere, right?
Of course NeNe shows up ready to ride in a staggeringly high pair of spiked Louboutins, much to Cynthia's disappointment. Undaunted by her perilous foot attire, Cynthia and NeNe continue on to the depths of the New York subway system, a great place for people watching. Unless of course you're two of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and one of you has a camcorder and the other is rocking some serious stilettos. All eyes were clearly on the ladies.
NeNe then meets some Glee fans on the train, who happen to be aspiring actors. It was cute, but I was more into all the Pride Parade participants from last week waving "I am very rich, bitch" shirts at her.
While she may have skipped the hot dog, I think NeNe may be on her way to becoming a jaded New Yorker. I'm thinking that could make a great RHONY crossover...
