The NeNe Normal - Ep 1

Bravotv.com's Associate Editor is still adjusting to NeNe's Hollywood lifestyle.

By Andrew Herrmann

Aaand we're back! It feels like only yesterday we were hearing the ladies tell each other to fix that face. Ah memories.

There have been some major changes in Atlanta since last we left our Southern belles, most notably this week the absence of Sheree and the introduction of Kenya (more on our newest lady later). It seems as if everyone is in flux, between NeNe and Gregg's rekindled (?!) romance and Kim's unexpected eviction notice. It appears that the theme of Season 5 is change.

One thing however remains the same -- I'll be counting down the top three moments from each episode. As always, feel free to add your own faves in the comments below.

No. 3 - It's Gonna Be Me

After NeNe's very difficult decision to divorce Gregg (not to mention her gift-filled relationship with a certain Italian gentleman last season), it was pretty shocking to see that Gregg's back in the picture -- or at least trying to be. Please note, this was only slightly more shocking than seeing NeNe with longish hair again, which was giving me a total Season 1 flashback. And where does this all fit in with NeNe's new Hollywood gig? Evidently not even she knows yet, as Gregg tries to insert himself back in her life. The question is whether she wants him there, and honestly...it's tough to say. I think we'll have to just see how this all plays out.

No. 2 - Coochie Crack

Well Kenya has certainly come in with a Bailey Agency bang. The new girl is most certainly serving us some D-I-V-A this season, and I couldn't be more excited. While serving as a guest judge at Cynthia's Jet Magazine casting call, she wasn't holding back on the potential models. When one woman strut her stuff down the runway in a, shall we say, ill-fitting bikini bottom, Kenya was floored by the "coochie crack" that was seemingly burned into her eyes. I use such dramatic terminology, because she just could not let it go, much to Cynthia's chagrin.

Then Cynthia's assistant tries to tell Kenya to ease up on the aspiring models. Big mistake. Kenya blows up on the unsuspecting assistant and has him escorted out. By her own personal bodyguard whom she didn't announce. Yep, she just has a body guard with her at all times. But hey, clearly she makes use of him. Cynthia's none too pleased by all of this attitude, and there's some serious tension building between these two. Especially when Kenya gives the thank you speech at the end of the day's proceedings. It seemed like there was some major thunderstealing going on.

No. 1 - The NeNe Normal

So NeNe eats some snails with Ryan Murphy in Hollywood and then they try and call Tyler Perry (but the number NeNe has for him is disconnected). This is our new normal on RHOA.
Ryan Murphy and NeNe Leakes

What?! In honor of NeNe's new lifestyle, let's just take moment to look back at the first time we met Ms. Leakes:
Meet NeNe
Next week the unthinkable happens -- NeNe and Kim EXCHANGE WORDS. They actually converse. Seriously, I wasn't kidding when I said this season was all about change.
