Peter "Must be Losing His Damn Mind"

Cynthia shares her reaction to her sister's extended stay and the fight with her husband.

By Cynthia Bailey

Welcome back to another drama filled episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta! Let’s go!

We all know that I am not a big fan of surprises, and for whatever reason my life seems to be full of them. Surprise! Surprise! My sister Mal is back!!! And not only is she back, she plans on staying for a while. Like two months! Inhale. Exhale. OK, remember when Mal walked out of our anniversary party? Well, until now (and a few awkward phone calls here and there), we have not seen each other. She has been traveling abroad with her husband Chris (he plays basketball overseas) living between Paris, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Korea for the past two years. Initially, for the obvious reasons, I welcomed the space (not more than Peter did! LOL!). However, at the end of the day, Mal is my only sister, and I did miss her. After a while, LOL.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

[video_clip_url:http://player.theplatform.com/p/PHSl-B/yT7k3t_YLXoZ/embed/select/9zB0VYc4qSkE]So again, although there were a few phone calls over the past two years, we never discussed our big anniversary party blowout and things were just never the same between us. That said, I was happy when Mal showed up on my doorstep. Well, that happiness was kind of short lived when I realized she was moving in! Now, y'all know, family or not, ALL house guests eventually have an expiration date. But hey, a lot of time had passed and I was open to going with the flow. Like most things in life, things started off great! We played catch up and our sisterly chats were loving, funny, and even a little shocking!

Let me go on and get this out of the way right quick -- when Mal told me that she and her husband have sexual relations two to three times a day, I almost had to be carried out of the bead store! But then I thought, most of the time they are only together six months out of the year. When he is abroad playing ball, she spends half of the year with him and the other half at their home in Houston with her daughter. So then it started to make sense. When they see each other, it's always like a honeymoon and they get it in. Then she comes back to the states, and has six months to rest and reboot! In any case, I know that sex is a big part of any healthily marriage, and I have been doing my wifely duties on a more consistent basis since my fibroid procedure. Enough about that!

Speaking of wifely duties, let's move on to Peter. Lord, where do I start? OK, no marriage is perfect. Peter and I are most definitely a work in progress. To say the least! I understand Peter's frustration about Mal popping up on us. For two months! I think he would have been more receptive to a long weekend, a week, or even two weeks. Two months is a long time. I don't know! I felt like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place, because I understood Peter's point, but I was also kind of excited about reconnecting with Mal.

When it comes to family, sometimes you have to deal with things that you may not want to deal with. Let's see what happens.Next, I attempt to talk to Peter about husband/wife stuff -- finances, goals, business, and our sex life. Um, that didn't go too well. Did he really suggest getting a man cave across town? I am just going to cough that up to early signs of dementia. Clearly, he must be losing his damn mind!

Last but not least, I have a very big problem with the way Peter communicates when he is upset. He wants to get all loud and throw around a couple of his choice curse words. I am a communicator, and this drives me crazy. I am all for a good drag out argument every now and then, but the person that talks the loudest and uses the most curse words is not necessarily the winner of the argument. Therefore, I refused to turn up on him (let’s be clear, we all can get loud and cuss when we want to), because I think it's just a dumb way to try to have an effective conversation. Keep us in your prayers!
