Oh, to be one of Lisa Vanderpump's dogs! Along with their star mom, they trot the globe in style... even if doing so requires The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills restauranteur to get, shall we say, creative with their transportation.
At the premiere for her documentary The Road to Yulin and Beyond at the Awareness Film Festival in downtown Los Angeles, Lisa told Jet Set, "I try to take [my dogs] everywhere" (clip above). And yes, of course that means on airplanes too.
So what's her top tip for traveling with dogs? "Oh lordy," she said. "I’ve done everything!" Including bending some rules.
"I try to go the legal route, but otherwise I’ve stuffed them under my jumper, in my handbag — everything!" she said. So we wanted to know... does that actually work? "Well, I've tried," Lisa said with a laugh.
And these days you might not even make it far enough into the process of smuggling your mutt to get kicked off your flight — rather, you'd be stopped before even getting on the plane "now with security" as it is, Lisa admitted. But fear not. She added: "There are some great airlines that are very accommodating."
Indeed! Consider these airlines with some of the best pet policies as a safer alternative to Lisa's under-the-jumper method.
