Why Erika Girardi Wears Sweats on a Plane and Shades "Decked-Out B----es" Who Don't

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills travel pro Erika Girardi is ready for anything on a plane.

Here's How Erika and Mikey Prepare for an International Vacation

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Erika Girardi is well known to be an expert traveler — she has her own plane, and travels with her personal glam squad after all. (And surely those details say it all, do they not?) But just because she's in full glam mode on TV and on stage as her alter ago Erika Jayne, she's no fool: She dresses down completely to travel, and she side eyes the hell out of people who don't.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"Packing for an extended trip: What's it like? What do you need?" she muses in the (epic) video clip above. "Obviously you need a lot of stuff — too much is not enough. Because you don't know what's going to happen. Anything could happen! You could go out, you could ride horses... you could get in a brawl. You need options!"

And while all of that may be true indeed, Erika is all about practicality when it comes to the actual flying part of any travel experience. "Let me say something about traveling, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart," she says in the clip. "When you see women that are totally head-to-toe decked out... b---, you are not a traveler!"

Oh snap. Do go on, Erika.

"I have my own plane, and i'm wearing f***ing sweats [when I fly]. Because why? There's nothing to do on a plane except go to sleep. I don't care who's siting next to you," she says. Of course, comfort doesn't mean Erika is advocating for letting yourself go on a plane — far from it. But the idea is to strike a balance between being Instagram ready, and being ready to bail in the event something bad happens. "You gotta look cute," she says. "I'm not saying you should look horrible. But what if you gotta book [in an emergency}? B----, bye! See ya!"

Wise words.
