Lisa Vanderpump

Lisa VanderPump ponders the perils of doing her best "Millionaire Matchmaker" impression.

on Dec 2, 20100

But I also knew if there was a man that could diffuse those feelings, it was Martin, a kind and amusing friend that would treat her well. But who knows? I don't know Kim very well, really just as Kyle's sister, but I see this vulnerability. And I definitely felt sorry for her when she explained how lonely she felt in Vegas as we all went to our rooms and she was alone, so I thought this was an excellent idea for us all to rack our brains, and find her a perfect match.

I think the instigator is always at risk in these situations, as blind dates have a habit of going horribly wrong! I knew the dinner would be an exquisite affair, a surreal evening to be enjoyed by all. Mohammed's house is a sumptuous setting, and he is such a dear friend, so it would definitely be a gorgeous evening with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. But when it comes to matchmaking I walk with trepidation...

However I was pleasantly surprised that things seemed to be going remarkably well, they seemed to be enjoying each others company, but I couldn't understand where she kept disappearing to! Only time will tell how this panned out!

Camille was invited, and for obvious reasons declined the invitation and did not come. But after the feelings that were running so high the week before, I think it was better for all concerned. I truly found the weekend in New York very depressing and confusing as to who said what, but all does become clear in later episodes. Sometimes, as I explained to Adrienne it's just like oil and water: the two of them just don't mix!

Oh well we are, as of right now in a pretty good place but unfortunately...this doesn't last long. This intricate journey we are on has many twists and turns!

I will see you next week, thank you for your comments. I love reading all of your opinions, and after many of you asking on Twitter I will post my roast potato recipe on my website...lisavanderpump.com.

Till next time...Lisa.

Hi All...My wife is a huge fan of the show and especially Lisa. My wife likes the outfit that Lisa wore in the Matchmaker episode when she speaks to Martin about setting him up with Kim. It is pink, and looks exotic with all the various designs on it.

Does anyone know who the designer is? I would like to buy it for my wife as a gift for Christmas.

Thanks...

Can I get a date with Martin? Looks like Kim did not really appreciate him fully I look like I could be a housewife, I live in Orange County.

I would LOVE love love to know who designs that Pink/magents dress that you wore in this episode! I checked Pucci but can't find it, just absolutely love it!

Lisa I just love YOU!! And you are absolutely right Kim should have called Martin and thanked him and his friend for their wonderful efforts. She should be ashamed of herself. I just love giggy also and wished I had a little fella just like him(tell him I said he is awesome). I also want to say that you and Adreienne are two classy LADIES and even though I like all the other girls, except that instigator Camille (I now see why Kelsey is divorcing her) and think the show would be better off without her. I am sure that they could find another classy lady in BH to replace her but they (Bravo) love the drama that she creates even though is makes the rest of you suffer and uncomfortable. Again I think that you are GREAT and love watching BH housewives just because of you and giggy.

Lisa: You are fabulous!! I see such love between you and your husband, and such love for your children, your fabulous wit, your steadfast friendship, your very hard work ethic, and I am truly amazed! Plus, I would love to steal Giggy away from you, and have him all to myself (although I know he would pine away without you). I really admire you, and do find you to be an inspiration. It has absolutely nothing to do with your wealth and lifestyle, although that would be the icing on the cake, but it is really the love that you have, that you give, and that you receive. You are not what I expected at all, and you are a fantastic surprise. I hope that you know what a very special person that you are, because I know that Ken, your children, and your friends do, and now millions know the same thing, too. My hat is off to you!!! Best wishes for you and yours for a terrific holiday season!!

Mrs.VanderPump, I was greatly moved by the episode in which you talked about your children - especially the portion about your adopted son. I, too, was adopted, but the situation was not a good one, and I soon realized that I was adopted for all the wrong reasons. The support and love you show towards your kids, is exactly what I have always wanted. It made me cry, but it also made me happy because it allowed me to see that there are wonderful people out there adopting.

You are truly a breathe of fresh air! A lady to the core. If only the gods would smile on all of us as they have on you. Your sense of humor on all of the events that transpire is dead on. You are by far my fave Real Housewife of Beverly Hills...though I would hardly say you are a housewife with all of the work you put into your businesses. I can't wait to see more : )

Lisa you are so inspirational! I'm 24 and it's so refreshing to watch somebody I can really look up to and admire, but who still has a personality and a quick wit! It's really given me a whole new perspective after years of sloppy drunk party twits ruling TV. This is by far the best Housewives yet (well, minus Camille, but then where would the drama be?)!

Lisa,

I am a new viewer to this show, I have never been much of a fan of reality based shows. With that being said, you are the reason I watch the show. You are truly an amazing woman. You definitely are a role model for all girls/women everywhere. Your elegance, grace and compassion is most amazing. I love to watch the interaction between you and Ken, a wonderful representation of what marriage should be.

Lisa, you are just the best. First of all - the accent. My 11 yr old son and I have so much fun repeating some of the hilarious quips we hear you say. Secondly, what a classy lady - women can learn from you - and you are so laid back. I know you and your husband have worked hard for your great life - I wish I could live in BH, it's fabulous - and seeing you - that to me is what I would think a BH woman would be like. It's so funny seeing your husband sitting with all the dogs on his lap and Giggy, how adorable! Cedric probably feels like the luckiest guy in the world to be a part of your family. Congrat's to your daughter for doing so well in school and your son is an amazing guitar player. All the best and I can't wait to watch more!!

You are a fabulous asset to the show. LOVE your personality and your style. You are a beautiful woman with a good family...good for you!!, and a positively adoring husband. Goes without saying that Giggy is a cute, cute pup. You extended a wonderful opportunity to Kim in meeting your friend Martin at a most amazing palatial home. Lucky Kim...but sometimes she seems like her own worst enemy, sorry to say. She just seems sad and nervous. The real enemy at any party, however, would have been Camille...for obvious reasons. I'm glad the scene did not include her. She was not missed.

Lisa....what a breath of fresh air you are. I really enjoy you on the show!!! It's wonderful to see that women can still be respectful to each other. Thanks for setting such a great example....hopefully some of the other housewives shows will follow in your example. You're just wonderful!!!!!

You should do the promos for upcoming epsiodes, Lisa! I can't wait to see what you've hinted at in your blog!

I adore you and you with your husband and your husband with dog... Too funny!

Lisa,

You have an incredible amount of tact. You manage to say everything most people are probably thinking, but with a touch of sugar on top so as not to be hurtful or insulting (ahem, Camille). For example, you were correct about Kim's dress, but your remarks were never mean or condescending, just simply that it wouldn't have been your choice for a first date ensemble and her breasts had a life of their own (they did)! You are also gracious and your relationship with Ken is absolutely enviable. And the trickery with Cedric shows that under all that poise is a bit of spunk! I am 23 and I think so far you are a wonderful role model for the woman, wife, friend, and mother I hope to become.

Sincerely, Freezing in Manhattan

You are my ALLTIME favorite Housewife of the entire series! You are such a devoted wife, mother and friend. I love how you take nothing for granted, have morales and don't seem to let your wealth go to your head. Keep up the great rolemodeling.

Lisa, you are the classiest housewife by far. My fave line this season: "Whatever happened to pin the tail on the donkey?" Indeed! Now, some completely unrelated, potentially useless trivia for you. Do you know that you resemble a famous Australian celebrity? (Or should that be the other way around?) Her name is Natalie Bassingthwaighte and she's the host of So You Think You Can Dance down under. If you moved her to Beverly Hills, died her hair dark and married her off to an ex-English footballer, she'd be YOU - no kidding!

Love, Love Love you,,, You come off very soft and real with a heart of gold. You bring a sense of family, fun and life to the show. Money seems to come and go.. well, mostly come in your household but it doesn't appear to be what you are about. Keep up the good work trying to find someone for Kim.

I find the show interesting, but you, Lisa, fascinating! You seem amazingly down to earth despite all your wealth. Your wit is always on point too. The line of the episode was your Cedric comment: Under all that dynamite, such a small wick! Funny and your running Jiggy costume gag is hilarious. Keep shining!

You are too funny! Love your wit. Martin is very handsome man, he should come to Texas where the women appreciate a charming Brit. Kim just comes off as neurotic. Love seeing Jiggy on Andy's show, but you should keep a close eye on him...I think Andy is a little TOO into Jiggy! Keep on keeping us laughing. BTW, you are so much more beautiful than that young model wife of your friend!

Dearest Lisa, From one LADY to another LADY...you are a class act. I love everything about you and feel that we could be amazing friends. It's so nice to see a REAL lady on the show, not a "wanna be" like Camille. Your neighbor Adrienne is also a class act. Actually, I find all the ladies lovable except for that cow Camille. I never have seen such a walking contradiction, and I've been in the music business for 20 years. I love your restaurants, and I applaud all your personal touches that make them such show places. My best wishes to you, Ken and your lovely children.

I agree with everyone else, you're terrific, you and Adrienne prove that success and money do not ruin a strong woman! I love Kyle and Kim, too. Camille and Taylor are the ones who give viewers characters to dislike.

I thought it was funny that you set up your friend with a complete opposite of what he usually likes. How can it hurt for anyone to meet? It's not as if either one of them are serial killers! Wonderful view of your friend Mohammad's home. It made me gasp in awe! I kept thinking of all the things my grandson would get into. I'm sure it would be wonderful for hide and seek. This should give you an insight to my life. Was wonderful to watch a light hearted show this week. I hope this is a preview of what is to come.

Thank you for being you. You make me laugh and I can see that you are such a great person. You come off as a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. I know you are a successful business woman on your own, but the qualities you show as a wife, mother and friend are so strong that's what I admire most. Thanks for making us laugh and for your honesty. I love when you tell the others to just stop! Thank you and your husband for being on the show. I wish you happiness and success in your and your families life. I hope your show is on for a long time. Oh, I think you have brought PINK back as the favorite color for adult women too-thanks for that!

Lisa you are witty and charming and I love watching your show. On the other hand I know you really just want Kim to be happy but what a mix match. The gentleman was really not age appropriate. ( Kim was much younger) but by Beverly Hills standards she was really much to old for him. He likes tall dark haired women. ( Not Kim by a long shot) I don't know if she was just so nervous but going missing during dinner was just plain rude by any standard. If she really wants to find a man she needs more social grace. ( But I do like her) I just am starting to feel sorry for her.
