On this week’s episode, the ladies and hubbies took a trip to the fabulous Palms Casino in Vegas courtesy of our friend, Adrienne. When you travel to Vegas a la Adrienne, you know you are in for some serious fun. We gambled, dined, and danced our way through the weekend, and even found time for relaxing in the spa. I was so impressed with Jay-Z! He is an incredible entertainer and although I didn’t know much of his music prior to the show, I am certainly a fan now. The one thing I know for sure is that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have no future in the WNBA. Watching us shoot baskets in the fantasy suite crushed that dream once and for all … we got NO game.
The best part of the trip for me was having the chance to dance with Russell. Dancing is something girls love to do from the time they are little until they grow old. My daughter and I have a great time dancing at home while we karaoke. Now here’s where the men are from Mars, women are from Venus thing kicks in … most men don’t like to dance (news flash, I know.) It was a blast having all the guys and gals out on the dance floor enjoying the music and the energy of Rain. So, come on guys … dance a little, women love it!
Russell’s business trip to Phoenix was quick and painless. In this economy, you need to take business opportunities as they come. He was back by dinner and had a productive day. And, it gave me a little time to have a spa treatment with Adrienne -- so relaxing.
I had to laugh out loud when I saw the cotton candy sequence, hilarious. Is there proper etiquette for eating a giant bowl of cotton candy? Do you use a fork and knife? Do you fold it into bite size pieces? Clearly, this is the reason cotton candy is served on a stick! And Lisa, what kind of books are you reading that describe such activities, my dear? At the end of the day, I am a grown-up enjoying cotton candy in Vegas. YIPPEE!
It really did not seem as if you were okay with your husband leaving to Arizona at the time of the trip. Is he looking over your shoulder as you type this blog?
I like this House Wives Show the best. Watching you eat the cotton candy was the funniest thing ive seen in a long time. i know you were unawere of how you looked which made it funny. i love cotton candy also but it is hard to eat. your adorable.
Love to you. Worry about your insecurity re your husband leaving you. Never be scared of such, hold your head high and know any man is lucky to have you. Unless you have the confidence, why should he? He is a little controlling, so I hope you keep a close eye on YOUR needs and wants. Never sacrifice for a man. there are too many who will stay and treat you like gold wo you having to change. Best wishes
Dear sweet Taylor, Don't ever eat cotton candie, while being filmed ever again...we are still have flash back's. What a pie hole!
I love your writing style, descriptive but to the point. I also enjoyed watching you. I think you look like Julia Roberts and Jennifer Garner.
Hilarious, Taylor! Great blog.....only place I ever saw cotton candy was on the midway at the Fair......so how to eat the stuff "properly"?? We should probably ask the kids, huh? Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Taylor, You seem to be a very sincere person with maybe a little insecurities hanging in the balance. The more confidence you own in a good way, the less likely you have to worry and if you have reasons to worry, then Russell isn't worth much in your life. The only other thing, please give the lips a rest...look at your picture...just study it for awhilel, and you will see that maybe just maybe, you have gone a little too far with the injections. Love watching this show so far, it seems to be the only one that has less vulgar language and the ladies seemingly know how to express themselves without it...except for Kyle...don't think it is necessary for anyone with an education to lower themselves to such. This is the only show in the Housewives franchise that radiates real class, dignity and poise with "real wealth".
I did not see anything wrong when you were eating the cotton candy, your husband was there! In regards to your husband I think he is as cutey!!
Taylor, you are such a gorgeous, bubbly, vivacious woman. Great personality, dependable, energetic, and intelligent. Don't sell yourself short. All you are lacking is a little elf confidence, and I think I know why.
Don't worry about what your husband is doing. Live life for you and your children. Life is too short to cater to a man. There are plenty of men out there that will treat you like a queen. Money can't buy happiness, and you deserve as much happiness as you can possibly have. Don't waste your time in the relationship at any cost if you are not happy. If Russell is willing to put the time and effort into your relationship, you should give it a chance, otherwise, get out while you still have time to enjoy life! I know what it's like having a husband like that. Unfortunately I wasted years with him hoping he and our relationship would change. I finally got out. I am now in a relationship with a man I truly love, that respects me and wants to spend time doing this with me. He treats me very well. He loves my family and my family loves him. Life is too short to waste on someone that just doesn't care.
You are beautiful and seem so intelligent and sweet. We haven't seen much of you in your home environment and wondering if we will as the show progresses?? I love the fact that you said it is important to maintain some financial independence from your husband, (or a man). Perhaps those who have criticized and rudely commented previously failed to recognize this strength in you.
Best wishes to you this season and hopefully the next!! : )
Taylor~you are sweet and have a good soul Don't let Russell drive the bus too much. If he takes off WTF, you will get a great settlement.
I think you seem like a super sweet girl! I do however worry about your marraiage, from a viewers perspective it seems almost bordering on loveless and like you give much more than he does. In marriage it should be 50/50. I just hope you arent' selling yourself short, because you seem like a quality person who has a lot of love to give and just want to be loved back. Don't ever discount your own worth or what you are rightfully entitled to! I look forward to this season.
Marriage is give and take...not necessarily 50/50. Each partner bends to help the marriage. However I think that Russell is selfish. He went to Arizona and Taylor had to accept that...but when he wanted to retire for the evening Taylor had to go with him. That is Taylor's fault. She should have said "honey I'm having fun and I'm staying a while longer you go on and I'll join you later." Taylor started being "agreeable" even when she doesn't want to a long time ago in the relationship and it is going to be hard to change now. I don't know Russell personally, but I know his type. This show will be too much for him because now he's on national tv and everybody will have something to say...he won't be able to take it...and he'll find that 20yr old that Taylor is always looking over her shoulder for. Quite frankly I can't see what Taylor sees in him other than money.
You seem like an intelligent, fun-loving, Midwestern girl. I can relate! That said, I don't think your husband is all that. He seems controlling, insecure, and mean. You can do so much better, I think. Money isn't everything.
Your very pretty & sweet....Don't let your husband bring you down girl.... He couldn't be with anyone as great as you are!!!!
You danced, you dined...you did what to that poor cotton candy?! Well, I guess what happens in Vegas....
Thats who she reminds me of... Julia Roberts! I kept thinking who is it, Thanks. Taylor seems to me be the most genuine. She has a fun, loving, just a happy person inside. Now seeing her in her marriage, seems to be a different story. It maybe looks like she traded money for love. I love what she said about her checklist for a husband. How you need to make sure you pick a guy that has the WHOLE list. That... what was indeed the most profound thing any of these ladies have said, thus far about marriage. Having said that... do the best you can from where your at now. For those ladies who are yet not married, she was trying to say something here... read between the lines. Pick a guy you can enjoy life with first, the money comes second.
You do remind me of Julia Roberts, so much. You have a cuteness about you that is fun to watch & yet is contageous. I think you are a sincere person & you need to be proud of yourself for what you have accomplished. I didn't like seeing your husband (kinda of) put you down, speaking of your business ventures, like it had no value. He seems to lack couth, something you seem to have lots more of. It is apparent however, where he is strong in business sense... he lacks in kindness & personality. Take your pick. I guess you said it best though when you said make sure you get the guy that has the whole list! Everyone thats been married for more than 10 yrs will certainly KNOW what your talking about there! :) Just enjoy your girlfriends, they can get you through some of those worst times in life when you feel kinda over it. A lot of times (LOL), they are over it too!!!!!
I really love you, I think that you are just so meek, I too just did not like when Russell took you away from the girls, as if you were a child, if it was bed time for him then he should go to bed and have you spend time with the other girls.
Great blog. You remind me of Piper Perabo from Covert Affairs, but an older version. She would be very lucky, if she turns out looking like you :)
Taylor looks like Kyra Sedgewicks sister.Julia Roberts and Kyra Sedgewick play sisters in a movie. They do look a lot a like. I can understand you're seeing a resemblance. However, I think Taylor has a stronger resemblance to Kyra. Either way, a huge compliment. Taylor seems sweet.
Taylor, Taylor, Taylor. Your husband should be fawning over you, not the other way around! Every woman deserves love and to be treated like a princess - yourself included. Forget about the lifestyle - clothes and trips and zip code aren't worth it. If ever for one second I thought that something younger and prettier would catch my husband's eye, then he is not the man for me, full stop. Someone who loves you doen'st play on insecurities. I'm worried for you - ditch the doof.
You are beautiful and smart. Russell should thank the gods that you love him. He should spend more time with you and your daughter and less with his business.
watching you eat that cotton candy was absolutely hysterical. you're one hot lady, now go find a hot respectable man
Taylor you remind me of julia roberts but blonde & more surgery...
Taylor i think your a sweet woman from what ive seen of you on the show, but to watch your relationship with your husband makes me sad, you are such an intelligent fun person and your husband seems boring dull and completley un intrested in you, i dont get it ? are you with him for the money ? security for yourself and your child ? as its hard to believe your head over heels in love with him and it certainly doesent seem that way on the show. i feel for you.

Hey Taylor, you seem so sweet and giving, really bothers me that your hsuband is not giving as much as you do! He seems so serious and bothered, does he EVER let loose......geez? He is one tightly wound guy! I hope you are genuinely happy and feel taken care of and cherished and loved. Everyone deserves that with any relationship and please don't sell yourself short. Life is too short to do that!! I wish you well, what was with the cotton candy? Was that for show? Hope so..take good care.:)
Taylor, It does't seem like your husband appreciates how beautiful and sweet you are. It may be too early to see his true feelings but that is how he comes accross in my opion.
Taylor, Kennedy's mood seemed to brighten up as soon as her Daddy gave her the beautiful white puppy. Every little girl should have such a precious pup! It was nice to see the sweeter side of Russell. He should have given her the Pup at the beginning of the party! She went from glum, to happy in an instant. Receiving her puppy, set her mood for the rest of the day! She sparkled!I'm sure you would have preferred her to be in a great mood at the beginning of the party, then towards the end of the party. She is too young to appreciate such a lavish party. Goodness whats her wedding going to be like?
Give the guy a break! He gave his daughter a real live puppy for her birthday, she loved her puppy above all else. Every child should have the gift of a pets love. It is the best!!! I see a good heart here.
I can count the number of times of 1 hand that I've actually posted a comment. On anything. On any site. This is my 3rd time commenting on just you. I feel sorry for you. Especially when I heard you say, "I hope I made the right decision." (regarding your marriage). Also when you said, "I saw him from across the room and I knew I wasn't gonna stop until I had him". And then go even further to admit that you chased that "texas cowboy hunk" for 3 months?!OMG. Self-worth? Lacking it a bit much? Hello? Don't YOU know that YOU are the one worthy of being chased? You're the prize! And it should be his mission in life to make you happy. However, you've made it a known fact that that you knew he sucked going into the realationship. You also demonstrated that flying fashion designers in for a new wardrobe and throwing a $50,000 party for a 4 yr old are sacrifices you're willing to make for your own happiness. Thas was a lot of DIGGING for 3 months, and aha! You found the GOLD.
Russel may not be the most handsome househusband, but he seems to be portrayed in a terrible light! I think when he wanted Taylor to leave the party at the Palms, it was because she was getting a little too tipsy? He was suggesting that she get something to eat! I sure combining a size 0 and alcohol can get troublesome quickly and he just wanted to save her before she got too drunk! A good husband will do that!!
Taylor, I thought your party was wonderful and I love your personality and your perspective of yourself and of others. You seem to have the most "this is me" attitude amongst all the girls, and your genuineness really shines through in each episode! I'm glad you take the comments of viewers with a grain of salt, as no one else is responsible for your life but yourself. Just wanted to through a little encouragement out there for ya ;)
