Making Progress

Adrienne shares her thoughts on the season of struggles, and why she and the 'Wives are better for it.

By Adrienne Maloof

It feels a bit surreal to me that we've already finished another season!

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

This last episode felt like a really good note to end on. After all of the drama and heartache that we have experienced this past year, it was wonderful to close on a mostly positive note. At the time of Pandora's wedding most of us were busy with personal and professional projects, so it was nice to get together and see everyone looking so lovely and refreshed. I was in the middle of finalizing the design of my shoe line which was to reach retailers in a few weeks, and I was really ready to just have a good time. Paul and I danced for hours, and at the end I did wish I'd had that car to drive me back home across the street! It was a beautiful evening, and I wish Pandora and Jason all the best as they start their lives together.

Speaking of starting their lives, I'm also hoping for the best for Taylor and her daughter as they move forward. While she was ready to move on from her marriage, Russell's suicide was obviously still a shock to her, and to everyone else. When we got together at Kyle's, I was so glad that she made the effort to come. It's wonderful to have friends when times are good, but it's essential to have them when times are rough. I think the get-together lifted Taylor's spirits somewhat. That was one of our best afternoons as a group, and I'm glad you got to see us at a time when we could celebrate everyone’s accomplishments.

So many of you have written to me and said that you had tears rolling down your face with laughter while watching Paul's colonoscopy segment. Leave it to Paul to make something serious absolutely dramatic and hysterical. Being a doctor, you'd think he'd be practical and clinical about getting the test done, but no -- there he was, asking for someone to hold his hand (amongst other things he wanted me to do that we don't need to discuss again). I was happy to be there in the beginning of the appointment because I wanted to support his choice to get the test. I knew my husband was full of hot air, I just didn't know how much! LOL!

There is a quote by Frederick Douglass that I love. He once said, "If there is no struggle, there is no progress," and I think that sums up this season. We faced our struggles, but everyone now has new things to look forward to, and for that I am grateful.

Speaking of being grateful, I want to thank all of you for your kind comments and for the genuine caring you have shown towards my family and me this past year.

I appreciate all of you so much!

Xoxo,
Adrienne

PS: I know a lot of you are wondering how the Dolce, Jackpot, and Visco are getting along, they are getting along just purrrrrrfect!!
