The Blessing

Lisa explains how proud she was of Pandora on her wedding day and how glad she is that she shared the event with the world.

By Lisa Vanderpump

Well, here we are -- almost home from what I can only explain as a journey riddled with emotional hurdles and at times almost insurmountable obstacles. But as a group we weathered through, though at times with loyalties divided. I for one have felt disappointment at the way many things transpired.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Life is a learning process and this experience has taught me greatly. Of course there were moments that I questioned my decision to open my life to the cameras, when previously I had been cocooned in a world and protected by people that love me. I had many lengthy discussions with Pandora regarding her wedding, remembering that I had entered into this domain of my own choosing and, although supported by my family, it was not what she had signed up for. So how much she was willing to share? The decision ultimately needed to be made by her and had to be her choice -- one where there would be no regrets. Jason was less bothered, but Pandy had many reservations. As you probably noticed there was a surreal, almost dream-like quality to the wedding. It's a little complicated to explain, but the actual shooting was entirely different. It was handled very sensitively. The wedding and all that you see is totally with Pandora's blessing.

As this vision of loveliness tentatively walked towards me, her hand encircled by the man who had loved her since she first entered into this world and who I knew would never be ready to part with her, I drew a breath that was of relief at seeing all of our plans come to fruition, but also of pride knowing that she had never looked more beautiful.

It is always a stressful situation, inviting hundreds of people to your home, but this day, planned to perfection, really was relatively calm. My daughter was nervously excited that she was about to unite with man she loves, and I truly knew deep in my heart that it was also the union of two families that loved each other.

I wish we could have shared the entire evening with everybody, as it all went so perfectly, but you had a glimpse of what was the most beautiful evening of our lives.

Many of you have asked why Brandi wasn't there, but at that time she had never met Pandy and was only just getting to know me. And so the group was fragmented. But as you see two weeks later we reunited at Kyle's house, where it was a bittersweet meeting. I was happy to see Taylor making progress, but we were all still aware that the healing in the aftermath of something so traumatizing was a long way ahead of her.

So I leave you all still wondering how on earth, having been such a private family, this ever happened. I am in utter disbelief as I see this replayed, my daughter getting married in front of millions of people, but the feelings I have are that of poignancy, a sense of relief, and elation that I shared with you this important day.

So as we now close the book on this final chapter, I have no regrets in exposing my life once more, and I thank you the viewer, for supporting me at times when I needed it, rejoicing in the joyous moments and above all laughing with me along the way. I value your thousands of comments, on this site and via Twitter. You have been incredibly kind and I appreciate your loyalty. Always remember my mantra. . .love and laughter supersede all.

Thank you,
Lisa
