The Greatest Insult

Lisa attempts to make sense of the many hurdles at her Sur opening.

Well Hello.

Here we are again touching down in the middle of my construction zone -- that began Sur Lounge. We always have a series of soft openings to iron out the teething problems, of which there were many. This was the first, mainly for friends and no press, just a small gathering to see if all the kinks can be ironed out. . .

I don't know if it is my inability to schedule things properly, but it's always right down to the wire! I am thrilled with the venue. Visually you will just have to come and see for yourselves -- the garden and the private dining room (none of which you saw) are almost ethereal, and I am so proud of its success.

Anyway, that evening, there was a smorgasbord of glitches and the event was filled with so many complications. I am going to have to gloss over some. I felt like a horse in a hurdle race. . .

Firstly Scheana alerted me to the fact that she had been involved with Brandi's ex-husband whilst she was married to him. I didn't know the details, but I didn't have to. Although I didn't know Brandi very well, she was my guest and I wanted her to feel at ease so Scheana had to go. She could work at the restaurant next door. . .OK, one down.

The next problem: Cedric turned up unannounced and definitely uninvited -- the nerve of him after all this time, after what he had done to us as a family. He wasn't welcome and never will be. I stated to him "I don't wish you any harm. . .it's worse than that. I don't wish you anything at all." That is it in a nutshell. Endless derogatory stories have been told by him and printed in the tabloids, to which I have never responded. You the viewer know the truth and I will not lower myself to his level and engage in a slanging match. He has continually endeavored to worm his way back on RHOBH, with no luck (after his disappointment in not having his much anticipated success). There's no anger anymore. I have moved on. And always remember -- indifference is really the greatest insult of all.

I found the footage of Kim very hard to watch. I felt for Kyle as she once more tried to relay her frustrations to her sister, how it was far more apparent to her that Kim was manifesting a happiness with this man Kyle had so much contempt for. We see clearly that Kim was behaving strangely, rambling almost incoherently, and it was a conversation that at that point seemed almost redundant. I know whatever choices Kim makes in the future she will have the support of a family who love her.

Finally, when Taylor arrived it was obvious to me that make-up was covering some bruising by her eye. I felt saddened as she tried to explain the intricacies of her marriage. I disagreed that it was up to her to apologize at that moment. It's been an arduous journey that none of us could have ever predicted the tragic outcome of, and I don't know that any of us will ever understand what really transpired between them. But I know as the old adage says, "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger."

It is almost time to close the door on this chapter, as we are almost at the finishing line on what has been a tumultuous season. I value your comments, your love and support. Next week you will see as our dreams come to fruition -- my beauty's wedding.

Thank you for watching
Love always, Lisa
