The Nature of the Beast

Lisa discusses how to handle a chicken, a judgmental chef, and the many personalities at spa day.

Hello to you all!

Here we are again. As you know my daughter got engaged, so when my friend Mohammed said he wanted to throw a party, I didn't have to think about it -- I just say yes. So off I went to plan my daughter's engagement party, which he had so kindly offered to host.

His house is quite simply a palace. He is also an amazing man who is really close to us and, apart from occasionally telling my husband he will be replacing him, is a wonderful friend. I love to tease him and vice versa. Next week you will see how he entertains Mohammed style. It's something not to be missed!

Adrienne had mentioned to me she didn't even know how to cook a chicken. I was up for a challenge, and I suggested she come to my house but she wanted to do it in her own kitchen. I had no idea her chef would show up, and also I was clueless of the fact that he had been so vile about me. I don't think I had ever really spoken to him, having only ever been to dinner there once. I now know he is friendly with our ex houseguest. . .even so I would never have somebody who works for me, publicly trash a friend of mine. It just wouldn't happen, and I have to say it was very hurtful.

So back to the task at hand -- teaching Miss Maloof how to cook. There are easier things to accomplish, of that I am sure. Well, when I noticed her washing it with a moisturizing hand soap that was truly a first for me. I stared incredulously. Was she serious? Unfortunately she was. . ..so I knew then it was a fruitless task and hightailed it out of there. Chicken Palmolive. Yummy!

On we go to Adrienne's spa day. What an extraordinary spectacle it was. Machines and facialists, manicures, massages, I have never seen the like. All was well until the atmosphere took on a much darker tone. When Brandi arrived tension mounted. I had no idea of the depth of feelings that were reached at that Game Night. All I knew was Brandi had accused Kim publicly of taking drugs, so I absolutely felt an apology was warranted. I was totally unaware of what had led up to that, and I now know there are many regrets. You have watched me for so many episodes and I think most of you know it is not my character to be mean. Maybe as I backed Kyle and Kim it came across that way, and I am sorry for that.

I had feelings of trepidation upon meeting her initially, as she had posed for pictures with Cedric announcing that she would be joining our group and that he was her manny. None of this apparently was true, pure fabrication by somebody to rile me up, but I am aware now the impression I had formed was not an accurate one. You will see how this journey takes us on many twists and turns. Friendships develop while some stagnate and some deteriorate, but that is the nature of the beast.

I do hope you keep watching. I love receiving your comments and so until next week -- thank you!

As always, love Lisa
