My Little Buttercup

Episode 4: In the words of Kyle Richards, "huddle up," as Bravotv.com's Associate Editor recaps the ladies' first meeting with Brandi and Dana and Kim's Lisa impression.

Ladies and gents, it's finally here. The week you’ve been waiting for is upon us. We’re finally getting to meet the newest woman to grace Beverly Hills with their beauty – friends of the Housewives Brandi Glanville and Dana Wilkey. And as Brandi and Dana crutches into our lives (well at least Brandi does), let's open our arms to them a little wider than perhaps the rest of the ladies did. So strap on your walking cast, as I pick the three most impressive moments of their inaugural episode.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Frequent Flyer Miles
I know you’ve all been sitting on your private planes in suspense since last week wondering if Kim was going to make the flight to Sacrament and – and she does! And I must say, her makeup looks great all things considered. I’ve done far less great work while my power was fully functional. Since she was so late, she brought her Lisa Vanderpump impression as a consolation prize.

Why am I surprised Kim was so good at in-flight entertainment, she was a child actress? The game itself and Adrienne’s experiences were heart-breaking to watch. Very rarely are whole towns begging you for something out and painting murals in attempts to convince you, so of course Adrienne got a bit teary. Kim was there to lighten the mood and ask a lot of non-game related questions (she seems as into basketball as I am). Whatever Adrienne decides to do with the team is going to be tough, but she’ll always have that nice hug with the Sacramento Kings lion to find comfort in.

The Head of the Rattlesnake and Not the Tail
Ever wanted to know how to find out who leaked delicate information about you to the press? Taylor asked Elliot Mintz. Did he give her an answer she could understand? Not really. Did it involve mixed metaphors about snakes? Definitely. Listen to the tone of his voice as he explains to Taylor how to get to the bottom of her gossip snafu.

Is Taylor any closer to knowing who told the press that she was extra thin and in a rough patch of her marriage? Not based on that information. Will I see Elliot Mintz saying "listen to the tone of their voice" and holding a wine glass up to his ear in my dreams for the rest of my life? Yes.

Brandi (and Dana!) You’re A Fine Girl or "It’'s Huddle Time"
Meanwhile, Kyle is throwing a charity event for Lollipop Theatre Networks. After finally deciding what to wear that doesn't make her look like a street-walker

. . .and dealing with a last-minute location switch, Kyle and Mauricio are fully prepared for the big night. (Her party planner handing her a margarita and gets her to calm down.) Folks start arriving -- including new gal pals Brandi and Dana! And the shindig is taken to another level.

Almost immediately, Dana gets pulled into a tete-a-tete with Lisa and Taylor. Lisa's hoping to help Taylor out, though the charity event might not have been the best place to ask her to eat more. Dana seems to roll right into the group, even through this Level 10 awkwardness. Kudos to Dana for hanging tough. I raise my overly large lollipop right back to you.

Brandi, on the other hand, is greeted with far less lollipops and sweetness. Our gals almost immediately huddle up to discuss, with Kyle calling Paul over and asking "her little buttercup" for more backstory. It seems Brandi's been photographed out and about with Cedric, and he may or may not be her “manny.” But Brandi comes with the Adrienne Maloof stamp of approval, so the jury is still out. In the midst of all of this caterwauling, Paul delivers what might be his best line yet, "In Beverly Hills, younger and prettier women are often met with hostility and jealously."

Mr. Nassif calls it like he sees it folks. Brandi tries to smooth things over with Lisa a bit, by mentioning that Cedric never said anything bad about her. Martin (yes, Martin the former suitor of Miss Kim Richards is back) retorts why should he, Lisa only paid for almost everything he did for several years. Me-ow. Martin might be the toughest one to get past of all!

Meanwhile, the huddle continues, dissecting Brandi's choice of matching footwear for her cast (indeed a dangerous choice, but a bold and fashionable one). Brandi, needless to say didn't feel so welcome, but she's not going to let her full leg cast or the judgmental glances of the ladies get her down. I'm not so sure next week is going to make her feel any better.

But what did you think? How do you like the newest additions to the 90210? What sort of shoe would you wear with a cast?
