The Captain and Brandi The friendship between Lisa and Brandi is really making my heart grow multiple sizes bigger. Lisa nearly showing Brandi business to the entire high seas is exactly the sort of playful dramatics I adore. Let’s imagine that on constant loop to Queen’s “Best Friend” all day. And then, Lisa adorably salts Brandi's game when she was trying to lay the mack down on the boat captain.
I think the next step in their friendship is having one of those street portraits of them drawn – the ones with the giant caricature faces. It’d be nice if it was Hawaii-centric too, so then Lisa’s cartoon could have been wearing her precious fedora. Maybe they could frame it and put it in Lisa's SUR expansion somewhere -- at least in one of the bathrooms or something.
I LOVED the ladies swim suits!! Can you possibly find out who makes them? I especially loved the black swim top that Camille was wearing when Brandi and her were sunbathing by the pool and the pink top Adrienne was wearing on the boat. I would greatly appreciate it! I think this Hawaiian trip especially part one was the one of the best shows yet. Keep up the great work! XOXO
"She was mere seconds away from throwing her margarita out and using the glass to get a clearer soundtrack."
I laughed so hard because it's TRUE!!
I must admit, I have told everyone in my life for the past few days "We don't care." In my best gay-bull-mastiff impression.
Great blog this week.
Snakes of any kind are not native to Hawaii, and about 20 years ago the islands were completely snake free. Brown tree snakes were brought in from Guam and other places, by locals/tourists as illegal pets and have since been found on the islands. However, snakes remain very uncommon.
I think that while they were all away Kyle should have dropped the subject of Kim always being late and waited until they got home. Everone was tense and she alone created the uncomfortable situation. It is apparent that Kim is not in a good place and Ken is no better but Kyle does stir up the pot.
I'm a huge 'housewife fan from the beginning when women secretly watched the OC. Anyhow, Monday was a difficult day for me. My beloved female yellow lab who was a dream dog, perfect in everyway was hit with a disease suddenly and in an instant she was gone, leaving our family in a state of shock.I normally look forward to watching the show, this week it was late, I couldnt sleep, while grieving, I watched a late re-run.
What irritated me to no end was watching Mauricio and the gang sitting down to a beautiful setting , being served a 5 star course meal, that should have been enough to make anyone happy.Instead of focusing on the wonderful friends who were in attendance the whole time to celebrate his birthday, all he could do was whine," he", wasn't having a good time because of Kim, who we all know to be, quirky."She and her then boyfriend should have been seated at the end of the table so Mauricio didn't have to look at them. That should have been a request. These Beverly Hills folk are suppose to be sophisticated people. Mauricio behaved like a child, making his guests WHO WERE THERE uncomfortable. Spoiling a nice meal prepared by amazing chefs. It just seemed so trivial to me, who cares if Kim and her then BF didn't make it on time, the rest of the gang DID, that should have been his focus, as a grown ass man, that should have been what was important to him.. If I hadn't been so sensitive I may not have noticed. I immediately picked up on what a rude, confrontational ,combatant mood that man was in. It was like, "it's my party and I'll whine if I want to, whine if I want to..." While calling Kim out he made an ass out of himself.
Well after watching the episode twice, the second time, Kyle and Mauricio came across as overbearing parents.. Now I am not defending Kim for her lying, she found it easier then telling the truth, but she was right, that was not the place to have the discussion.. You have the discussion in your room, amongst yourselves, and I don't care if the friends are fine with it, all you are doing is creating a spectacle... Now as for Mauricio's statement that her behavior "isn't normal," well maybe not for Beverly Hills, but the rest of world, yeah it happens often... However most of us aren't control freaks who treat our siblings as children... Kim is an adult, and she has made her decisions and you need to step back.. The biggest problem Kyle has is she doesn't approve of Kim relying on someone else... She made that clear when she wanted Kim to move closer to her.. Kim doesn't want to be closer to her... She wants to be able to make decisions, without being judged and harped on time and time and time again.... Kyle's attitude about Ken is completely underneath this whole argument... If she is late, she is late... WE all have a relative that is always late... We all have a relative who lies about everything... I know I have one sister who does both CONSTANTLY... and my Father keeps hoping that the next time, she will be on time, or tell the truth... But it will never happen, and once you can accept Kim for who she is, regardless if she always lies or is always late - which I haven't seen that much - just accept her for who she is, and stop trying to mold her into what you want... As for her rehab, rehab is a wonderful thing... It isn't always a negative connotation.... Kim has low esteem issues and has to deal with a sister who is always putting her down... So rehab will help her find the tools, to help her get back on her feet, without stumbling... As for Brandi, would someone shut her up... Seriously, she knows nothing about anxiety and depression... She keeps trying to claim it is "illegal" drug use... Thank God for Paul's medical background and common sense... He knows, because he knows the effects of the medication that Kim is taking... and I know because I too suffer from anxiety and depression....
Mauricio hates Kim and couldn't hide it at all. Probably this has something to do with the real estate accusations. People tend to despise those they've done wrong and those who feel wronged by them - so either way his contempt isn't surprising. Kyle seems to think of her as a burden and to talk about her in a way which alienates her from others. A shame that. I have to wonder why invite her? Or if it was required then why not just be happy that she's late, not always with the group etc. The uncivil inquisition at dinner was pointless aggression and no fun to watch - my own family and friends behave so much better than that even with trying guests.
Hi bravo to all the different housewives!! I watch all of them over and over speaking of addiction lol. Well I thought it was a little weird when Kim and Ken wanted just Kyle to come into the room Hmmm. I wonder if Kyle once in awhile enjoys their little festivities but controls herself because of the show. You never know she went to the bathroom quite a bit too on game night ohhhh!!!!! Love Love the ladies
I agree with the viewer about Kyle enabling Kim. You can tell that Mauricio is tired of the whole mess, but still supports Kyle. Now that Kim is in rehab, maybe her behavior will improve. She owes a lot of people an apology! I have two sisters & we bicker; however, if Kim was my sister, I would not invite her to any of the Housewives' gatherings. If she wants to be late for everything, let her do it on her own. It seems that Kyle is always on "high alert" waiting for the next shoe to drop! I know how it feels; not inviting someone may appear to be mean & spiteful, but in the long run it's usually the best for everyone concerned.
I think that Kyle and Mauricio were right in trying to get to the bottom of why Kim and Ken were so late to the trip. I think it was totally disrespectful of her to be late to her own brother in law's birthday party. Ken is a creepy fellow and I feel like he is more controlling of Kim than anything else; even though she thinks he's protecting her. As a person who has been in a similar situation as Kim, he is totally doing her damage more than anything else. She needs to get out of that situation and pronto. As for the sisterly love, I have two sisters and it's not always roses and rainbows for us at all times. I do think that Kim has a problem though and needs to get some serious help. As for Brandi, I didn't much like her at first but she is beginning to grow on me. I do wish that the couples would have backed Kyle up a little more at that last dinner like they had at the White Party. They know something was up but yet kept quiet. I would've totally threw Kim and Ken under the bus.
