Lisa Vanderpump

Lisa wishes the other ladies would fess up to their occasionally foul-mouthed ways and continues to defend Brandi.

on Dec 4, 20120

So we resume the dinner conversation, Brandi announces to the table she has a book deal. Well I am truly happy for her, as I am all too aware of the fact that financially things have been tough and she certainly has not had the same comforts and privileges as most of the other women at the table, excluding Taylor.

Taylor takes umbrage to this, again encouraged by Adrienne, as she felt Brandi had judged her previously. Look I support both of them making a living and trying to be independent so that was one I was not going to involve myself in. It is amusing as I stated before, I in no way wanted my opinion to influence Yolanda in any shape or form, but we will see as we progress how she comes to her own conclusions pretty rapidly.

The next morning you see me attempting to explain to Brandi how if she doesn't edit some of her terminologies and take the "f word" out she will continue to give them ammunition. She refers to me as a mother figure. Well maybe I am to some extent, but eleven years doesn't really count. However I won't give up trying.

Lisa, as a proper hostess and owner of an establishment you should not allow a guest to put another guest down, friend or foe. Your plan to take down Adrienne seems obvious. Stop using Brandi to facilitate your ghastly agenda.

Lisa , luv, luv, luv you. and I hope you continue to nurture adn guide brandy through the shark tank of RHOBH. Please watch out for Kyle, she is not your friend or anyone's for that matter , money is her friends adn Maloof is the biggest phoney i have ever seen in life. Kim is just a lost soul trying to find her way in life you is burdened with the wicked sister. camille, well , I guess it makes her feel good to trash kelsey. i get it he cheated ! Taylor - you go girl adn make that money. Lisa , stay the same please ? brandy? try adn edit your words befoe they come out of your mouth. You will only get yourself in trouble this way girl. take Lisa's advice adn show them all what a classy, honest , sweet and loving mother and person you really are. Brandi, you were wrong to talk about AM kids , you would not want anything said about your children and this is a fact so learn from this mistake. Lisa , stay beautiful and the classy woman that you are . cant wait to see your new show.

Lisa,

So glad you smartened up and dropped Kyle and now are friends with Brandi.   Brandi and Yolanda are bucket fillers, not like the others who are bucket dippers.  They suck the soul right out of you!  Kyle's friend is money. She was friends with you until her husband got his $$commission$$  from selling your  mansion.  Then she switched her allegiance to Adrienne in time for them to collect some more millions off of selling the Maloof mansion. If Brandi had a mansion to sell, you can bet your last dollar that Kyle would be her next best buddy!!  By the way,the front exterior of Kyle's home looks like a home you'd find in Anywhere,USA.

Love Lisa's style!!  Hope Brandi makes bucks off of her book so that she can buy a home.

I think maybe Kyle is just a little bit jealous of your relationship with Brandi bc she used to be your Brandi.

after watching this episdoe, it occurs to me that lisa  has made friends with blabber mouth brandi for a reason.  she gave her modeling jobs, allows her to talk about her husband cheeky, and lisa defended her at the dinner.  so the stage was set at the appetizer tasting-lisa knew brandi was gonna spill the beans. is it possible that lisa is out for adriene but doesnt want to tarnish her rep. so she is using brandi to do it.  just a thought.

Lisa love you and Brandi on the show. Shame on Paul and his wife for saying they are going to sue Brandi. I rember when adrienne wouldn't speak to Taylor because her husband was going to sue Camille. Adrienne was ready to shun Taylor , I hope she is treated the same for her actions.

Well i can't hold back this warning Lisa. Tread lightly where Brandi is concerned...what we witnessed tonight at your garden dinner was too much. Brandi crossed boundaries that are inexcusable. She is playing with fire and will drag you into the pit if you're not careful. Again, I like her, but she is out of control. She has no right to drag anyone down and she blabbed her nonsense to all of those people at the table - did she forget that some of them considered Adrienne a friend. Kim certainly did.  Brandi needs to grow up...I was under the impression that she was much younger than her 40 years.

...I have heard her say that she has always been like this (foulmouthed - saying anyhting that comes to her mind) that is not a smart person - that is a foolish person - taking unnecessary risks with other peoples identities and lives...who the hell does she think she is and honestly, if she said anything  derogatory about my family - I'm not sure what I would do. .be careful what you tell her and how far you will defend her... wishing you well.

You are simply amazing!! Love watching you on the show you are so classy! You are so refreshing to watch, I enjoyed you telling Kyle that she did not try to make amends with Brandi, but now she wants Brandi to bend over backwards for Adrienne!

Oh no! Holy sweet biscuits Batman!!!  You did NOT just treat your employee that disrespectfully! Not even hearing her out... that is a lawsuit dressed in cashmere .... I have absolutely lost any ounce of respect I had left for you .... She may have been in "the wrong"... but you, as a business owner and employer, need to "get it together".... they may line up now to come under your employ just to sit and wait for their "big payoff".  Yes, I'm a redneck, but I know how to treat people ... ALL people (not just the ones that are your biggest client for 7 whole years)!

Mindless entertaining TV realty show and edit.I can only comment on the things Bravo wants me to see. Their are so much more layers and dynamics in once life.It seems to me that some people just ignorant and lack anykind of wisdom.I believe that Brandy ,Yolanda and you Lisa are more in touch with reality and more honest with yourselves and others.I also think that people should not ask if they are not prepared to hear the answer, and than again it requires maturety and Love... I dont know why people want to be part of a realty show, maybe being popular is so much more important than nursing the trades of honor, honesty, courage and integrity.I dont know you Lisa, but What I have seen,I can only say that you are beautiful, inside and out.I also think that Brandy as well is deep down a beautiful person and probably more misunderstood than understood. I wish you, your family and friends Froeliche Weihnachten:-)

Lisa, you had every right to chastise your server. when it comes to high powered people in a town like Beverly Hills--who has been a loyal customer for years, there is only ONE side of the story. What your server failed to realise is (1) pissing off someone powerful and rich has consequences. (2) Villa Blanca & SUR are your businesses and lively hood. Your establishments hold a reputation of high standards, impeccable service, and 5 star quality cuisine. A rude or snarky or unpleasant wait staff can soil your restaurant’s reputation. You have some people how posted on your blog who are missing the point.

OMG, I suggested you playing Professor Higgins to Brandi's Eliza Doolittle before I saw this episode tonight. Now, I retracted that suggestion because Brandi is too hard-core . You'd better leave Brandi alone to fight her Adrianne war. She, Adrienne, and her husband Paul deserve each other. Extricate yourself lest Kyle might accuse you of being behind the whole mess.

Dearest Lisa, I just finished watching My Fair Lady. And since you possess such a wonderful sense of humor, I am thinking about soomething fun...you can team up with Brandi. You, playing the role of Professor Higgin and Colonel Pinkerton combined, coach Brandi ( the Elisa Dolittle of Beverly Hill ) to speak a polished version of English, no more F you, but as effective and even more deadly because it will be laced with wit and humor. Then you have another tea party where Brandi will show up and socialize with those phony meanies with the most exquisite manner acting like Audrey+Grace Kelly. How 'bout it? Oh don't forget to arrange a real aristocrat to court her. I bet Kyle and Taylor would be green with jealousy!!!!!! I am following the success of this subplot. Good luck. We shall have a good laugh. Make sure Brani keep her head cool so she can figure something smart to retaliate in case of unforseen assault from the like of Adrianne's ex hubby.

Mmmm...Lisa I find you and Brandi very refreshing - the frankness and loyalty you both exhibit seems to be a missing value from the others. I've watched each episode and continue to be amazed at the hypocrisy swirling around this group, most recently Paul offended Brandi calls Adrienne a "B" seconds after he calls Brandi the same. I don't agree with some of the other posts, stating you should quit defending Brandi; she seems to be a very fragile soul with all her bravado - she just needs to learn to filter sometimes. We don't always see the events leading up to the climax, but just the explosion and some of the aftermath. So we can't really judge everything fairly. But I'll use my observations and study of human nature to draw a conclusion.

I like you Lisa, but I did not like the way you handled your server, I believe that everyone should be respected and just because the person is rich and of high standards do not give them the right to belittle anyone. I do not agree with her drinking on the job, "at all" that was not appropriate, I did not like the approach.

Lisa, I thought it was hysterical when Kyle asked in all her phony outrage, "who talks to another woman like that".  I guess she's forgotten that your show is taped, and we all have seen her multiple times let the f word fly at the other ladies on the show.

Cmrandi

Lisa, first and foremost, you have always been one of my favorites on the RHOBH, especially for your English accent. Even though I do not know how to feel about the situation between you and Adrienne, I have to say that the way you handled your employee was spot on. I work in retail and when push comes to shove, the customer is always right. At the end of the day, it does not matter what the employee’s argument is, you have to make the customer look right and be right because their opinion will either benefit your business or hurt your business. On that note, I think dismissing her in a way that did not have her fired was the right thing to do because, you never know if she will have learned her lesson.

Ps. I hope your hubby is doing well.

Lisa, I love you because you are a classy lady, however, tonight's show upset me very much on how you spoke to your employee. You by far gave me a very bad taste in my mouth. If your clients and friends speak to your employees like that it shows me they have no respect for you and those that work for you.  No friends, family or clients will ever have that tone with my employees because with out them you have no business. just think if someone spoke to Pandora in that fashion. Your friends with money does give them the right to speak to anyone like that its call '' Verbal Abuse"!

You are classy, elegant, intelligent, successful and witty. Other than Brandy and Camille, all of the girls are complete idiots. Especially Kyle. She is so two-faced. They are all (except Brandy and Camille) sooooo jealous of you! It's glaringly obvious! Keep Brandy close, she is a good egg, just a tad rough around the edges.

If you are so high and mighty as you want us to believe, then gracefully accept an apology and move on.  You enjoy the drama too much, and just obsess on anyone who has for a moment stopped worshipping at your feet.  I really liked you in past seasons, and enjoyed your sense of humor.  The Adrienne thing has been made bigger than what it was.  Move on, grow up.  It really reveals a dark, ugly side to you that we do not want to see.

Lisa: I absolutely adored you, in your white dress and sneakers, while playing badminton! I So... love a white lace cotton dress, especially on such a beautiful-outdoorsy day, and your sneakers were the perfect accessory for playing : )!

BTW- Too cute in your 'Fedora' hat on the ride to and from Ojai. You should do an American accent more often...it was so funny!

I completely understand your protective feelings of Brandi. I also felt that Brandi was upset by the, unnecessary-repeated, attention Adrienne was drawing to Kim. I enjoyed seeing Kim and Brandi share a genuine, open moment. I'm fond of Kim and I hope they heal.

I could of done without Taylor...but that's nothing new.

All in all...It was a great trip to Ojai.

Julie Andrews? Probably more like Mary Poppins! Afterall Julie Andrews had said a swear or two in her life.

Aside. It all brings us back to the end of season one when Kyle exposed her sisters inner demons to the world because she was mad at what Kim had said.

I think she wants to use Brandi as some sort of crutch for own demons.

This show is great! I don't watch any other housewives show. I only watched this because of Kim Richards actually. She is starting to become the only sane person in the group!

I wanted to mention this before too much tiime passes. Every once in awhile I get a flash back of you with the other ladies returning from your trip (hosted by sweet Kim) and I start to crack up all over again... You were hysterical  -  impersonating the American accent.

Fun and F-U -N-N-Y.  And, you had me rolling when you played bad minton too - okay I have to say, I was a little surprised at your ensemble (you might have played better had you been dressed differently, huh?)  But that's what we love about you - You are; who you are - and    that 's what makes you so great. I admire you because although you are a natural beauty - God has blessed you abundantly ... you do not let that rule your life - these women are definitely  taken aback by your looks and then compounded by your ease and unruffled manner - this drives them crazy!   I love to watch your reactions when dumb comments fly out of the mouths of  "asses"  AND we all know how often that is. I love you Lisa - you are someone that most people would love to have as a friend. You are smart, wise, witty, good-hearted, tactful and beautiful on the inside and out... don't let anyone change your values and principles.  And, trust your instincts about these women - it's not that diffficult to see them All for who they really are ...or want to be....

If you look at how suddenly things transpired at the table (with KYLE'S prompting), and how gracefully Lisa has handled her charactor assassention from Adrienne -- you would see that she is not trying to "take down Adrienne" by using Brandy to facilitate.  I do not believe that Lisa has a "ghastly agenda", I have watched every show (more than once) since the beginning-- it seems clear to me that Lisa has better things to do with her time.

Tho Lisa was hurt and her relationship will never be the same with AM, it is not her style to add drama to any situation.  Watching Lisa over all seasons, she's been smart enough to know the group will continue to work together, so she would rather be a peacemaker than create friction. Lisa has a fun snarky sense of hurmor which makes watching so much fun... but she always handles REAL situations with careful diligent thought, dignitly and CLASS.

Lisa, I love you!  You make the show for me and I can't wait for VANDERPUMP RULES!

@babygirl12@ Lisa was 100% correct. Business is business. NEVER mess with the money. Keeping rich, powerful customers happy keeps the money flowing. Villa Blanca and SUR has a reputation to protect. The server needs to fit into the brand or else she will tarnish the brand. You GO Lisa! Now gimme a damn job.

@Cmrandi I have to disagree with this comment.  The customer is not always right.  Every situation is different employers sometimes need to back their employees.  It isn't easy to find good help especially in retail.

@rosyposy Have you seen the show? News flash: "Lisa Vanderpump agrees to meet Adrienne Maloof at Beverly  Hills eatery and accepts apology". The server admitted to drinking on the job: AN OBVIOUS NO NO

The server admitted she tried to make a joke & when Lisa humored her with what joke the server said "THIS PARTY SUCKS!"  to the client whose party it was!

Now imagine you are a client who is treating his customers to this dinner/event & a server who is basically drinking the alcohol HE PAID FOR says this in front of his guests!

Lisa was dead on in her assessment & more than fair by not firing her on the spot. She OWNS the restaurant, sets the rules & the example to follow. it is her brand, her reputation & her customer.

Asking the server to leave & saying they'd discuss it further the next day was a quick, adept & professional way to deal with the situation. The server NEEDS to know what is appropriate & based on how she acted in front of Lisa during "her explanation" I'd say it's a good bet she didn't even have the presence of mind to immediated apologize to the Client & explain her joke was in poor taste. THAT likely fell to Lisa.

Lisa was BEYOND fair in my opinion (as I would have likely fired her on the spot) to give the young girl a day to reflect on what happened prior to discussing what would happen.

I've worked in business both corporate & service industry related (the latter to put myself through school/supliment my income in the early years) & I guarantee you I'm not alone in saying I recognize there are times when a customer can be beyond beligerant or even lie about something but there is a way to deal with these customers: Professional & courteous.

Bottom line: the issue arose BECAUSE of the server NOT because of the client which makes it more her fault.
