I hope you're all getting ready for Christmas and not getting too stressed out. It is a great time for the kids, so from now until December 25th, I'm going to pretend that I'm 11 years old again!
This week has been quite a revelation in my health journey. After struggling for the past year to get an accurate diagnosis, I finally found out that I have had Neuro-Borrelia Lyme Disease. So far I have learned that it is a very misunderstood and hard-to-detect enemy, so I feel a lot of comfort in having something that I can fight head on! It will require many months of intravenous antibiotics and immune therapy but I’m very optimistic and ready to fight the good fight.
And now on to the business at hand:
Wow, what an episode. And what drama! I wasn't at Mauricio's soiree because we had an event for the David Foster Foundation that night.
Yolanda, you have been an inspiration to me in many ways. I was immediately drawn to you and I now have you to thank for the quality of life I now have. It's been a long time coming but you have just been that extra push I needed. Thank you and I hope from the bottom of my heart that you heal quickly. Stay awesome!!
I cannot stand this fake, phony woman and her obnoxious, pompous husband and that horrid daughter who is a model and has this constant $*&% eating smirk on her face. GET THESE PEOPLE OFF THIS SHOW!!!!!! They are horrible people. I hit mute every time one of them shows up in an episode. I don't blame Kim for not coming to their house to do the cleanse. Who would want to. I want to see more of Marisa Zanuck. Now there's real housewife of Beverly Hills.
@John20785 wow, what a mean person you are. How often have you seen her daughter on the show to call it constant? However, you are intitled to your opinion. Yolanda has been nothing but supportive of Kim. Her own sister still drinks in front of her. Yolanda tries to present a united front and let Kim know she's not alone. Who else have been supportive of her to the point of putting their money where their mouth is? There is nothing wrong with sharing a healthier lifestyle with someone. Hell I wish she were my neighbor, I could use some lemons and mentoring.
I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. You are so lucky to have caught this and that you have the resources to cure/stabilize this. There are so many without resources who are afflicted with this. Be blessed! Enjoy your holidays and stay graceful...
i think you are a very beautiful lady with a fabulous figure, and great taste in your house you designed...just beautiful. I think you will be good for the housewives...they need a little "grounding"..but you come across sometimes as being too santimonious ,,, "Goody two shoes"..But I agree with you in there is nothing worse than a "drunk woman"...You are a good role model..and they need some decorum on the show.
I think when you and David Foster entertain guests, you should just make it so that everyone an enjoy themselves and talk among themselves, and not held captive to your "entertainment" which is all about David and you. That is the price you extract for their presence..that they are captive to watch your program and your people...Let people just enjoy themselves...It is really too egotistical to expect people to do that.
Getting tipsy can be fun in a safe place with friends - those of us who went to college, we would go to the wine or beer blast. Now that we are older, we get together with our friends and want to let our hair down. But there is a point where getting drunk and nasty is not appealing. I agree with Yolanda. It does not look nice. I would rather like to see these women show us how they are graduating to the next step in their lives, I really thought we would see Kim or Kyle try to get their move or TV career back up and running, or maybe start a business together. Taylor I would like to see her move in a positive direction and Brandi as well. Come on girls - up the game. There is more to life than getting drunk buying cloths and cars and gossip from week to week. Housewives of Beverly Hills UP YOUR GAME!
Maybe Yolanda can contribute to that.
sorry the two freaks of the show are Kim and Taylor.. the wanna be's .. and the Kim the gal who never had any luck since she has grown up.. she cant work due to her drinking and no one wants adult actresses who are like her.. since they were kid actors .. there prime has passed and you see Kim as like the other kid actors who have passed on..
i feel bad for Kyle since she is the one who has to deal with her.. the older sister Kathy does not deal with either them ... you can see that when you watch any of the tv celeb news stations..
i like you .... i we get it you are marred to the best man in the world.. until you get your divorce ... since you are not his first wife or second.. ... who knows you may be his last. good luck with your marriage..
you seem strong and i like that.. and honest.. but i am not sure how that is going to play out on the show.. i wish you luck.. you are dealing with a pair of vipers.. (Kim &
Yolanda, I am less and less a fan of yours every episode. How about you stop the insulting remarks about Adrienne, a woman (and a mother) who frankly has never lowered herself to your level on camera or in print. If something happened between the two of you off screen, then maybe it should be kept private. I applaud Adrienne for not taking your bate. You're not worth it at then end of the day. You say you're not a fan of her aggressive style of communication, but I've seen no evidence of that. I have however witnessed your holier than thou attitude and your divisive behavior. Example: Trying to further that wedge between Kyle and Kim. Shame on you!
joeschmoe I agree that Yolanda's remarks can be biting...but the majority of the time, she is speaking the truth. And Adrienne has never lowered herself to Yolanda's level on camera or in print? Did you watch last year's reunion? Have you read any of Adrienne's blogs? She is WAY worse than Yolanda.
I shutter to think what you might call a genuine celebrity . David Foster is not at the top of his profession; he IS the top of his profession.
@audioslave You should really do some research, before you make such a shameless ( attention getting), comment !!!!!!!!!
audioslave Wow! Then I wonder where those faux grammy's, and that faux mansion, and faux ocean front property came from? Plus who composed all those faux hit records? smh
SandraR66 audioslave those are not fake ones.. and if you have ever seen any one of main trophy's you would now that.. he has worked on tons of records.. and you would be shocked to know how many people take credit for music even if they only work on a little of it.. so to say they are fake is showing you have no real clue.. and not know anything about David Foster... i first heard of him years ago.. many years ago.. both may want to walk away from that box of wine you all are drinking..
audioslave Seriously? You may want to look up David Foster. He does not have to claw to be or stay in the lime light. He has been there, probably before you were born. Look him up. He is an extraordinary talented man.
Yolanda - you need to take that massive stick out of your butt. Relax dear. No wonder you're not aging gracefully.
@LatinaMiel I think she is beautiful, stunning even. She has a quality of dignity and grace that make me respect her.
here's what I don't like and can't get around. All these comments about drunk women. Why drunk women? Why not drunk people? Are drunk men okay with you? I understand you're just speaking your mind as you see fit, but you certainly don't mind judging others so that makes you an open target.
RHOBHfavoriteshowonTV How is Yolanda's sharing of her opinion--she thinks drunk, sloppy women are unappealing--a "judgement"? She has a opinion and preference. We ALL do about something---right? Try looking beyond YOUR judgement to see what's REALLY going on.
KellyKittyKat if these women didn't share their opinions as freely as they do, there would be no show. However, I'm sharing my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of Yolanda's yet. As I said below, we'll see how it goes. If she intends to stay on this gender-judging high horse of hers, I doubt if she'll get far with most viewers.
KellyKittyKat RHOBHfavoriteshowonTV She does have an opinion, but when she berates the women having some simple fun to Kyle's face, that wasn't polite at all. Not even classy, since she wants to state that drunk women are classless. I do like Yolanda, but just because she doesn't like to let her hair down every now and then (or does it in a different way), it doesn't mean she should judge the other's who do.
I don't think she meant to target just drunk "women;" maybe it's just that only drunk women were around her?
Remember, English isn't her first language. I mess up all the time when I try to speak in Foreign Language.
I think it's way too early to make judgements about Yolanda. I usually don't make judgements about housewives until 2 seasons in (that's if I'm still watching).
I'm not sure you're a good fit for this group. We'll see if you go the way of Dana. Your lemons and grammy collection might go good with her sunglasses.
RHOBHfavoriteshowonTV You wished!!! And "all these comments" I counted one maybe 2 about the same incident. Aren't you alittle snarky yourself?
Nightengale I'm not getting paid to have viewers examine my life so it doesn't matter what I am or am not. Not everybody is going to like Yolanda. So far I kind of do, but some of her comments have raised some red flags. This group of women likes to let their hair down and party sometimes, and it's fun to watch. I've never seen Lisa get down and dirty with the other girls, but then she doesn't wrinkle her nose and make comments about how ugly drunk women are as if she's better than them. Like I said... we'll see...
I am so sorry that you are dealing with such a serious illness. I hope you take all of the time you need to recover and enjoy all of your blessings and family that surrounds you with love. You are such a classy woman and it is hard at times to watch your involvement with women that lack compassion, integrity or self awareness. That being said, you are a bright light and I believe your purpose on the show is to be a role model for all mother's and women on the show and in our community. I have never watched the show before this season and you are someone we can all watch and learn from. Please get well soon!!!
Wow...an intelligent and sane blog. How long have you lived in California? I like that you try to understand everyone but stick to your values. Don't let the bad people suck you in to their vile ways.
Yolanda, I like you at first blush. However, I am quite concerned with your connections with Lisa and have thought that perhaps you would be the one with integrity of self and not buy into the chaos. I am questioning that now because you tout that you want to watch before judging yet the title of your blog hints otherwise. I am hoping for "Yolanda with integrity" but it seems you are already being tugged in Lisa's direction. Which is sad because you will be dragged into the fray and it seems you have just begun judging, given the contradictions of your title of your blog and your intent of watching before judging.
Integrity may save you but I think this show will ruin you without it. It may ruin your marriage as well, as these reality shows tend to have negative consequences on a couples' life.
As for the judging, that is what all of the drama is about. Women judging other women. If you want to stay relevant and stay a housewife of the show, then judge and let the mud fly.
So, Yolanda's integrity is completely dependent on whether she sides with Lisa or someone else?
I have a suggestion. Now Yolanda knows Lisa, they're not exactly close friends, but they are acquainted through her children and ex-husband whom are quite close to Lisa. Might not Yolanda be a better judge of Lisa's true character than you are?
I realise that thought might seem far fetched and on the insane side... as we, the viewers, are infinitely better judges of people with whom we've spent a total of some 30+ hours and never even spoken with.
JuanCarlos I reserve judgement on Yolanda. Just stating what i see so far. She seems to be nice. Actually, thus far, Yolanda types are a refreshing change from the table flipping and catty bs on the housewives. I am actually wanting her to have integrity and maintain her "self "and not get into the fray of cattiness. But we all know, we tune in for the cattiness and table flipping. I just see this platform to ruin someone who seems nice.
The beauty of being viewers is that we can call it as we see it without the reality of have neither friendships nor ulterior motives to cloud what we see. Always clearer from an outside perspective.
Slowly by slowly we have watched every character on any housewives program deteriorate into someone they didn't seem to be at the onset of viewing. You could call it their "true colors" but rather, I would rather like to think it is the environment of all women who as a group eventually self-destruct due to the nature of women, in general. Men just kick the crap out of each other then move on. Women, however, scheme and calculate their revenge in the most nasty ways. Innately, it's to propagate the human race. But for us viewers, we somehow can identify with one housewife or another and that draws us in.
Ideally, I don't want to see that happen to Yolanda. I am simply stating that a high dose of integrity could save her. She would have to be quite strong. I am pulling for her.
I am a bit humored by the polarization of the fanatics. That in and of itself is a little entertaining. I am a non-emotional viewer. Chuckle chuckle.
She didn't contradict herself. She stated that she think Adrienne uses a certain way to communicate, which she does. That does not interfere or contradict her wanting to reserve judgement on other aspects or behavior of people's LIVES. She can say one without contradicting the other.
You are so lovely and classy! Best wishes with your fight against the condition you have been diagnosed with! xxx
Yolanda, eventhough we are just getting to know you,i feel that you are slowly easing into filming and coming out of your shell, I think you are one cool chick, you seem kind hearted, honest and cool and kind of a weirdo ( i mean that as a compliment ) . I love that you become Brandi´s friend. I am slowly falling in love with you. Lots of kisses.
Yolanda, so refreshing seeing a down to earth lady, that doesn't feed into the drama. I love you feel comfortable not having to be all glammed up. I love the way you are kinda taking Kim under your wing and I hope it continues, she needs friends and support and I really don't feel like she is getting it from Kyle. I am sure their are underlying issues but this season Kyle seems to want more and more attention,. Can't wait to see what is in store. I know Brandi has a very foul mouth do you think you could help her with that as well? Lets see Taylor needs attention, needs to feel like she fits, disrespectful to you amazing husband. I am from Oklahoma and the season she made the remark of taking someone out and put some Oklahoma whoop ass on them, believe me all the ladies here don't act like that.I think your the best think that has happened to the show and wish you better health. Stay real stay the classy lady you are and face it some of the other girls are going to be jealous just go with it and be yourself.
Spoken like the rue classy lady you are. On a minutia unimportant note, I love how you wear your Hermes belts all the time. I am going to start wearing mine more. I mean, why not. Thank you. Best wishes for a good week and Happy Holidays!
Yolanda, my nephew is fighting lyme disease in Germany. His is bad and we are praying for him every day. Make sure you take your meds like you should. I believe not taking the meds like he should may have caused his issues with his motor skills. Good luck and God bless.
Be careful of what you say to these women Yolanda. It can be misinterpreted very quickly.
Yolanda not only elevates the program, she elevates the common conscienceness of anyone watching Real Houswives of Beverly Hills or even just reading her blog. Way to go Yolanda!
