Yolanda wishes Taylor would have taken the time to get to know her before judging her.

on Feb 25, 20130

Hello Bravo lovers! Sorry I missed you last week but I had just started my 30-day program at a wellness center in Florida and I wasn't feeling well enough to focus on writing a sensible blog.

After 85 days of IV antibiotics and minor results, I've decided to give the holistic route a shot. Thank you so much for all of your well wishes, I am truly touched by your kindness.

It's nice to see some sisterhood from Kim and Kyle, as best friends of Taylor's, it seems appropriate for them to worry about her and have that so difficult talk. I love the way Kim took charge and is now taking on the reversed roll in trying to help others, maybe she is finding her new mission in life.

We all know it was a conversation long past due. As much as I have disliked Taylor's drunken antics, I have to say she seemed very sincere when confronted and definitely owned her issue. I believe acknowledging our own mistakes is half the problem solved. Taylor's tragedy is the unthinkable and more then anyone could possibly handle but I am hopeful she can pull her life together for the sake of her little Kennedy.

Yolanda, I think you are great.  It is so nice to have someone on the show who has only one face!!!!  I am so tired of Kyle and who the hell does Faith think she is.  I am glad to see someone stand up to these women.

Yolanda, what happened for you to turn on Lisa? I was totally shocked and really disappointed by the things you were saying about Lisa and not even knowing the history with Lisa and Kim. That was painful to watch. I expect this from Kyle but not you!!

Couldn't find your up to date blog so I'll do it here... very, very disappointed in you on last nights show. You talk about Lisa behind her back and you don't have the slightest idea who she really is...can't think of anything positive so that's it...

You get on my nerves!!! I'm over you!!!! The way Kim turned on Lisa was rude!!  And you really need to learn to mind your business... And stop babying Kim! She is a big girl and your very patronizing!! You almost treat her as if she is a child!!

The two of you are like oil & water.  You have solid principles & values. She on the other hand seems to have none. It appears she would do just about anything for money, as long as she doesn't have to be the one to work for it. I do admire you for your wonderful optimisim, & hope your right about Taylor, but I pray it's not at Kennedy's expense. I told my husband , last weeks series, at Kims's house, when Kennedy came with Kyle & Porcha, was the first time I ever saw that little girl smile. Your a great role model !

Always liked you, but was a little disapointed about the remark, that id Lisa truley cared she would have called kim. That was a bit of a stab, there is alot of history there. I think because she had spent the morning with her and Kim was again acting strange, she was truly worried. I am in recovery and Lisa was at least not acting like everything was fine, when it clearly wasnt. You saw how quick Kim changed her tune about Lisa, when she called her out on her behavior. That is exactly what someone in recovery needs, Kim only surrounding herself with people who wont call her out, has lead to relapse after relapse. I was in Canada last year and took what I thought was an aspiran for a bee sting. I did not know that you can buy over the counter aspiran with a low dose of codiens, as the bottle was in French. I picked up on that familar feeling, no one else did. My sobriet as anyone else should be is most important. I called my doctor immediatly to clarify what had happened, as Kim would have and should have, even if it was a mix up of her meds, but she didnt. Kim is used to everyone playing along, when Lisa didnt she attacked. That is Kim protecting her addiction, NOT her sobriety. I think you are great, and pray that you will be feeling better soon!

Something about Europeans: Many people in USA think Europeans are so liberal and have fewer value. This is defiantly not true. This is why I am so glad to see Yolanda as a kind of representative from my

neighborhood   Holland, who shares this values what is about to be a strong and confident women, who does not see herself as less emancipated just because her focus is on the well being of her family. I`m pretty confident that Yolanda is as well as hard working career women - all her life ever was -  and as well a wonderful mother and wife. What Marissa Zanuk told us, that she feels sexy by being financially independent, is not what means to be strong nondependent women!   As a mother and wife you are always dependent, dependent on the well being of the one you love. Period! Because you as a woman you are the head of the family. And as the head of the family, you don`t feel weak to care about you’re tribe. I loved so much as Yolanda told, "My husband is king in MY HOUSE!" In translation, it is her kingdom in which her husband must be delightful to feel as someone special and she is happy to offer it to him and puts any efforts in this. This is the real confindence of a queen.

I love how you and your ex husband have such a great relationship. It's also awesome to see your husband and your ex getting along. I love how you and Brandi are getting along. I understand why some people get annoyed with Brandi. It's true, she has no filter. But at least she speaks the truth (which is more than we can say for Kyle, Adrienne, Taylor, Faye...). I hope you continue to take Brandi under your wing and maybe in time she can have a great relationship with her ex too. Someone needs to show her how to be the bigger person in that hot divorce mess :)

You all do not need to work so hard justifying yourselves in your blogs.

Viewers see behavior.  Most of us also realize that production and editing play a big role in how someone appears in a realty show, but, sooner or later, the truth comes out to all but the willfully blind.  From what I have seen so far, I would love to be your friend....

But:

With Taylor right now, the number one thing the cast needs to be concerned about is supporting her so that her child stays as safe as possible.  Not indulging her or enabling her, but supporting her

All of you need to put aside the petty stuff from the show and focus on Kennedy's well-being, period.   Not on Taylor, but on Kennedy.  Just imagine what that child has gone through.

Yolanda, girl, I love your honesty. You conduct yourself with dignity, and a pretty good sense of humor.I love that you don't let the continual flow of BS intimidate you. Yolanda, I just wanted to say I hope your health is improving. I suffer from a chronic illness myself and sometimes it is hard for others to empathize with the toll it can take on your life. I hope your illness does not keep your from coming back next season! You are a pleasure to watch. Be well.

Dear Yolanda,

I too have undergone the nightmare of Lyme disease and it has taught me so much about medicine and how life can take us on such jagged, unexpected sharp turns into the unknown, scary or unexpected.  As a result, my new motto, is "expect the unexpected."  I adore your candor and your positive nature, along with many of your fans here and wish you the best in all things, but especially with your battle against this illness.

My personal experience with LD (Lyme disease) has led me onto a path of medical research.  I am a health advisor that specializes in this highly complex illness and I too can tell you that the IV antibiotic route--while addressing the bacterial aspect of the picture--does not treat the other 3 categories of infection which are parasitic, viral and fungal  and are also a pivotal (though mostly obscure)  part of the complete Lyme disease puzzle.  Safe to say, that may be the reason why you experienced only nominal success via the IV antibiotic route (the other 3 major categories of infection are not bacterial in nature).

I too advocate the alternative, more holistic route--because treatment can be administered long term and should cover all major infection categories.  I cannot stress enough the importance of aggressively addressing the parasitic aspect of Lyme.  This area remains so dauntingly unknown and yet plays such a significant role in the process of healing. It can make all the difference (because it remains so unknown and yet ushers in the fungal infections as well as stimulates an environment where viral infections can also thrive).

I don't know how else to contact you, but just wanted you to know that information is indeed very powerful.  Please take the above info into account.  I have dedicated over a decade of research and have published articles in this area.  Sadly, I can say that with the advent of global warming, we will see more cases of Lyme disease (along with incidents of other opportunistic infections--some never before seen in our hemisphere)...

Wishing you, your lovely family love, happiness and most importantly, success on your road to healing.

Yolanda.....Since you missed it.....I wanted to fill you in on the goins on at "The White Party", as a traditional event of Kyles, many viewers look forward to it as well. We also wear white, and prepare our favorite cocktail....The show airs here at 9 p.m., therefore, I viewed the show in a pair of white thermal underwear, with a white fluffy scarf, drinking my creation island drink, the pinky colada....I had three before the show aired...I was expecting trouble at Kyles, and wanted to just be neutral, since the tea party was so dramatic.....I suspected trouble brewing when I saw Faye putting war paint on in Kyles bedroom....however, the sinister stirrings really began when Adrienne and Brandi met in Kyles living room...Brandi was on the sofa, and Adrienne and Paul on the chair to her left. Just like at the tea party, the lawsuit was taken from it's chamber, so the parties involved could poke it, jab it and make it scream. By this time, I decided I needed more rum in my drink, these people were going to be brutal....Brandi was accused of everything that the legal system considered libelous...AddiPaul, as I call them, have consulted....but Brandi came armed....when she went for her purse, i screamed..."Nooo" , somebody stop her....she would now be charged with "brandishing"... but instead of a weapon, she had multiple piles of paper, proof that the cook was the culprit in all the dirty deeds in question....that silenced AddiPaul...they had no comeback...crowd gathered...and it was determined Brandi once again won the round, just like the tea party...some dancing went on, Fat Burger was there, once again you did not miss a lot...pretty uneventful...I was so glad I did not invest in satin pajamas for the white party this year as I did last...because I ended up spilling my pink colada all over my white thermals...when Ken told Paul that the lawsuit would pay for their shoe biz...I thought there would be fisticuffs....fans

Dear Yolanda,

I'm so sorry you're having such a difficult time  with your Lyme's disease.  I doubt that you would travel clear across the country for help if you weren't truly miserable.  The only person I know of who has suffered from Lyme's is Barbara Bush.  Perhaps she could offer some names of doctors if David would play a song for her.  I seriously hope you aren't suffering too much and will find some relief.

I'm enjoying your appearance on RHOBH tremendously.  You're a warm and inviting member of the cast.  Your open policy about airing differences is refreshing.  There has been some talk, mostly in gossip columns, of your leaving the show, and I am one of many who hope that this is merely a rumor.  I cannot imagine BRAVO wanting to lose you nor any of your admirers liking the idea.  You give me the sense that if I knew you, I would like you, and that's an important attribute that most of the housewives don't convey. If you're ever in Concord, CA, stop by and say hello.  I have one struggling lemon tree and could  use all the advice you have to offer! lol

Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.  I will continue to think good wishes to you in hopes that you can regain your full health.  Enjoy your time off from the show and all of its angst!!  I'd think you'd need it!

Loved seeing you in this drama free episode. More Yolanda!

You were direct with Taylor and gave her the opportunity to address her issues with you.  Of course, she was unprepared because she usually works behind your back not to your face.

You beautiful home, style and demeanor inspire me with ideas that I want to incorporate into my own life.

Thanks, Yolanda.  I hope that you enjoy your season on RHOBH as much as I have enjoyed watching you.

Taylor didn't own anything. She repeated, as best she could remember, what Brandi said to Kim at the dinner in Ojai about 1 leads to 2 and next day finding herself in the darkest of places. That's Taylor's M.O. - she listens to other people's stories and then adopts them into her life. I loved that she didn't get pulled into K&K's planned trap to get her to start some new drama for them. Oh, and Kyle lied, too. The camera's were around, so she pretended she had never heard that Taylor had an issue with you.

Yolanda I love you! I love your decorating and happy energy you put out. So glad you are friends with Brandi and Lisa my favorites!! I do the lemon cleanse as well and wish I was able to be in a warm climate where I could grow my own lemons!!! Eating healthy is a way of life for me.  LOVE that you're friends with "Chrissy Snow" as some would put it. I grew up on "Three's Company!" Love them all! If you haven't watched it yet I suggest you do so......such talent!  :)

Yolanda know exactly who Lisa is and she respects Lisa,  don't forget they  are friends in real life , and they have always known each other before this reality show, Yolanda was married to Muhammed , who is Lisa's daughter Pandora's Godfather. Yolanda would not say anything behind her back that she will not say to her face , She was right to ask Lisa not to further discuss Kim at the table, and her opinions are her own. Try not to take this so seriously.

Out of all of the comments i have read about this subject I find yours very enlightening. I did not know that people who are addicted to alcohol are susceptible to codine and other barbituates. I thought it was only alcohol. Your points on holding Kim accountable for her actions is spot on. I also agree that is probably why she has failed so many times. I dont think Yo's point of if Lisa didnt call then that proves she doesnt care. That was as assinine remark. It made her look as petty as the fake drama queens that are on this show. Dont get me wrong I love these shows and look at them as a learning experience for the way the world works and how people think. Again thanks for your story.

@valgal62 Wow!! Great insight and comment. I do love Yolanda and LIsa and I know they will get past it and talk it out because they saw a situation differently. I did notice that Yolanda never implied anything about Lisa's character, but merely that she disagreed with something that she did (relaying the events to Mauricio or not phoning Kim to check on her). These two ladies will work that disagreement out because we can't all agree on everything and Yolanda never implied that Lisa was a bad person or attacked her character (like Kyle and the Bobby Fischer comment, or telling Taylor she "preys on the weak), she merely disagreed with her.

@BlingDong You know, when I listened to Taylor telling Kim her reasons for drinking Brandi's story immediately came to mind. I thought Taylor was being opportunistic but, because I don't care for her, I thought I was being overly tough on her.

Thanks for pointing out that this IS exactly what Brandi said to Kim in Ojai.

marandia2 you've made a very good assessment. And I agree with Yolanda's remarks...Lisa was beating a dead horse. Everyone there was very aware of Kim's set back...wether it was just an emotional bout  or provoked by  mediaction .... she was having a set back and having a treally tough time.... Kim needed support not accusations or remarks said about her, like she wasn't in the room. That's just rude and insenstitive.  I hope to God that Kyle stays calm and continues to hold her up...it's not easy but it's what Kim needs. Love to all these great women...and they are great or we wouldn't watch.....Yolanda is amazing - she is tought but soft, opinionated but gentle and really funny ... I love her wit and humour...Yolanda is a very secure and confident woman and

Taylor is not either of these things... yet.  I hope that Yolanda will give Taylor a chance too...I;ve said this on Taylor's blog ...she really needs to be careful with Alcohol....it's her vice.....Drink gingerale with lots of ice...keep together!!!!

but she "shhh'd" Lisa at the table when Lisa was talking to Mauricio out of concern.  I wish someone had shh'd Yolanda when she told the cameras that David's ex wife still loved him and wanted to get back together. That was the "hurtful gossip" Yolanda like to sooooo preach about. She's getting on my nerves. When she said that about David's ex it proved how hypocritical she is, to me anyway. I wish they would put David's ex Linda on the show. She's been on a few times and I love her! She told Kyle to knock it off at Brandi's beach party.  Imagine how humiliated she is now after Yolanda "gossiped" about her undying love for David?  please........

@@realityfan82 I was very excited about the Paris trip....but had to wait for the second episode to wear my oo-la-la print pj's.....here is the bueprint....black background with oo la lah written all over in pink with white poodles ( small ones), and small Eiffel towers.....I wore a hot pink feather boa, pink fuzzy slippers with white poodle faces on top...put my hair in up-do (Bridgett Bardot style).....my cocktail was what else...champagne....left over bottle from New Years...pretty cheap...so it took half the bottle for me to get nostalgic......i cried when Kim cried and when the poor duck was sacrificed for the sake of a meal, i just stopped using my hand painted diva wine glass from Hallmark, and just guzzled from the bottle.....seeing those little eyes was too much....for this gentle viewer....I was hoping a disclaimer would follow the episode that would say " no animals were hurt for the filming of this show", but sadly, it did not...I had hoped that in actuality it was a rubber duck.....I was in quite a mood and remembered googling PETA....and then I must have blacked out...I rarely drink....so, at this writing I may be asked to lead a demonstration at the next filming of "duck dynasty"....

@Eva18@BlingDong

Have either of you been to a 12-step meeting? In my early 20's I went to AA. I wasn't an alcoholic, but with alcoholism in my family, I thought I would avert the possibility by going to meetings. Later in life, I realized that I did qualify for Al-Anon perfectly, and still go to meetings from time to time. One of the things I began to realize is how much I have in common with these perfect strangers who are in every other way completely different from me. There is a common thread in our experiences. I hear the story of a stranger, and it is my story almost word for word. The commonalities help to establish a bond of trust and is where so much of the power of the healing process lies.

I went back and listened to Brandi talking to Kim, and then I went back and listened to Taylor talking to Kim, and I don't believe she is imitating Brandi's story. If there are similarities in the things she shared, it is probably because there are similarities in the things she's feeling and experiencing. That is the phenomenon of honesty, I suppose, in that it reveals how much we have in common. Interesting that now that she is being honest, she will be accused of fabricating her story because of the similarities her experience shares with others.

@ouise123       I missed Yolanda's  conversation about David's ex...Yolanda, I agree with you that there are 3 sides to every story so i'm trying to understand why you would say stuff about your hubby's ex  ...and I'm disppointed too that you would make comments about how she feels..what's up with that? You do not seem like someone that would be that petty...but it does sound like you were gossping... that is unless his EX announces her feelings for your hubby publically or makes remarks about you that are distasteful....and this was an opportunity to strike back....but as you know when people can't see the whole story then remaks like this... get misunderstood. .
