I agree with peshett, Yolanda you are a welcome lady to all of the Housewives francise! Finally a classy woman that actually has manners! How refreshing! I've been known to say I watch the Housewives to feel better about myself, because I would never act that way, especially in public!  Now I have a new housewife to watch. I also cook, garden big time and decorate. Now if I could just get exercising like her. Welcome, Yolanda!

Ignorance is common among you lot.

Being foreign especially does NOT excuse you from making the "Chinese eye" comment. The "reasonings" you provided on why you do not want your daughter's eyes to look Chinese show that you FULLY understand that you are making a general remark about a particular ethnic group's facial structure.  It is offensive to hear even for a listener/viewer who did not grow up in this country, is not Chinese, and may not appreciate the racism associated with a mere phrase such as "Chinese eye."  Your "reasonings" really give it all away. It was a complete turn off for me and I hope you can refrain from making statements like that on national TV despite how you truly feel.

I also was dismayed at the tasteless comment made in regards to your daughter's eyes and how it's not good for them to look Chinese and small. Critiquing eyes and judging them small is one thing but when you tag an Ethnic group with that negative vibe it's tacky and sounds racist. Granted most of these women are out of touch with the Real World for the everyday American but I watch this show for entertainment. I don't wanna watch and be reminded.just how out of touch.and.bigoted these ladies are!

How tacky you were today on the show.  I'm sure classless sayings will come out of a classless lady.  Either you are a racist or you are an uneducated model who married a successful man.  Get off your high horse. 

Unbelievable comment made by Yolanda. You assume you are a great role "model" to your daughter. But all I see is you teaching youre daughter how to be a racist. Very disappointed and NOT a fan. I wish your daughter success in her modeling career. So she can pay for you to take a few courses on the Asian culture. (~_~)

I just saw tonight's episode where you are with your daughter at her photo shot and was absolutely appalled at the comment you made about how it's not good to have eyes 'go the chinese way.'  Just can't believe how someone who labels herself as someone who is worldly and cultured can make such a racist comment.  Whether or not you meant it in a negative way, you are on TV.  You should have more tact than that, even if you are racist you should keep that private.

You are a breath of fresh air!  I especially like that you are capable of having a drink that doesn't contain alcohol. You are the sort of woman with whom Kim needs to spend as much time as possible. Welcome!

It takes time for a housewife to find her place and her voice in these shows.  Today, I’m wishing you well.  After a half dozen episodes, maybe not? LOL

I am unfamiliar with Southern California geography.  Is Malibu a suburb of Beverly Hills?

Don't you have to actually live in BH to be a cast member?  Yolanda, you seem nice enough at first glance.  (BTW:  You remind me of Brigitte Nielson.)  I hope you find your new adventure on this show to be worth losing your privacy over.  Here's a tip:  stay far from Shana (er, Taylor), Kyle and your water buddy, Kim.  They're all bad news and will drag your sunny outlook into the gutter.

Brandi wasn't saying "you" had slept with everyone in Hollywood, just that it was such a small place that everyone seemed to end up sleeping with everyone else.

You need to take Kyle's and Kim's friendship with a grain of salt. Understand that Lisa and Brandi too will be true friends to you. As for Taylor, all I can say is beware. She's a viper. Adriene, seems be a bit hypocritical.

Yolanda, welcome aboard the RHOBH bandwagon, I think you're going to be a fantastic addition, I really like you.  As worldly, successful and overall blessed in life as you are, you also seem very grateful and down to earth with old fashion values and morals.  I know Bravo thinks we like the drama and provokes it relentlessly, I think the viewers actually enjoy "normal and nice" blended in with your delicious wealth.   That's what I hope to see from you this year and you're off to a great start.  Your kindness and unconditional acceptance towards Kim is refreshing.  Your ability to see Brandi for exactly who she is, i.e., a sweetheart with a wicked sense of humor, is right on.  Lisa is another gem.  The rest?  Stay away.....  There, you've been warned, lol. 

When Brandi said "Everyone slept with everyone," you interpreted it like a typical, judgmental Housewife of BRAVO.  You're already looking like a carbon copy of the other judgmental, catty women.  It was evident she was joking.  

I hope that you aren't going to add to the fire this season.  One the other hand, how boring the show would be if you women weren't  arrogant, superficial and materialistic.  

Love you and your caring spirit toward everyone.  I'm a fan of your husband and I enjoyed seeing the loving side of your relationship.  Watch out for Taylor, she's not at all what she tries to put out there.  Brandi is a tease but is a true friend to those who don't bully her.  You were right, these women  have a lot of drama surrounding them, and the one who tries to fill you in regarding these women holds the most drama in the group.

i really like Yolanda!! Typical dutch: down to earth, both feet on the ground, nice and kind! but we dont have to mistake that kindness for weakness!! she can hold her own!!  she is from the Rotterdam region, and those people are straight shooters! but have very big hearts!!

Hello Yolanda, love your home and garden.  And you have beautiful children.  I have two sons and they are older but I still think of my children as babies like you and they are my life also.  You are stunning and must have had wonderful times modeling.  You seem very warm and sincere.  These shows are weird it's like if your not having major drama your boring or if you are having major drama with someone you get hateful comments.  Such a strange entertainment show.  Good luck and take to heart that old saying believe nothing you hear and half of what you see.

She really has been broken, and she seems drawn to you , and its so nice for you to befriend her right away..I noticed you understood the dynamic between Kim and Kyle, Kyle pretends to be Kim's biggest fan, but is actually her biggest critic. It looks as if you have lived in all different walks of life. You seem to be a beautiful person inside and out. All I can say is "get tough skin" lol. Brandi and Kyle are hands down are my favorite housewives. Brandi may seem to be tough and out spoken but, in my opinion she is a teddy bear and also jokes alot. Kyle is the "peace maker" and really loves her family and friends. I can't wait to see you this season..GOOD LUCK..lol!!

a little advise for you, Yolanda, don't try to figure out those 2 sisters, they will come together and turn against you in 2 seconds flat!

I agree with another blogger....the jury is still out.  There is something about you that I see as contradicting and I cannot figure out exactly what it is.  Before I read your blog I knew what I was going to say and now it seems rather ironic what you wrote, because to me it seems you wish to appear humble, but you might actually be arrogant.....and now in your blog you write all of this humbling stuff, but in watching you it appears you internally believe you are better than everyone else.  I hope that I am wrong and that you are genuine, this is why the jury is still out with me.....as well.

I really like you and your class.  Please stay that way and don't let the other ladies influence you!

The jury is still out on you.  I'm not interested in watching another woman with a big house sit around the house picking flowers and veggies out of her garden or going to lunch everyday.  I hope there is more substance b/c thus far you are BORING!

You are stunning - I like the warmth you showed Kim.  Kim and Kyle can learn from you on how to welcome someone and make others feel comfortable by extending yourself.  Bravo to you for using your blog to clarifying your take on Brandi's innocuous comment of everyone sleeps with everyone - Beverly Hills is as much of as small town as most in that regard. 

Taylor missed her opportunity to address her nasty comments towards Brandi in her blog - but looking at the previews you have Taylor's number enough to call her an asshole - you won me over because you you are both elegant and hold your own once you get pushed - which puts you in the ranks of Lisa and Brandi.  Glad you joined the cast.
