- Miami Housewives on Facebook
Since I believe in moving forward, I will not talk about last week's blogs. There is no need to… actions speak louder than words. In the end, the truth prevails and you will see it on the show!
I do want to thank you for all the nice and sweet comments. They meant so much to me. It's unfortunate, that trying to describe Venue's demographics from a marketing/business perspective, things would get so misconstrued to the point of people calling my office and making threats and hateful comments. I am so sad for these people, for people who have so much hate in their hearts, like Cristy, that have nothing better to do than cause pain and trouble in others' lives. All I can tell you is that I am praying for you. Thank you God for giving me strength. Thanks to all of my family and real friends you are so important in my life!
ANYHOW…..It was so nice to watch Episode 3 …… I can't stop laughing! I have to acknowledge how funny Marysol's mom, Elsa, is in this episode. She doesn't even have to try. Everything that comes out of her mouth is hilarious. I love her humor and her accent.
I know we get on Adriana's case, for her lateness but here in Miami it's normal. . .it must be a Latin thing. I felt bad she was late to her own event. Herman would have left me behind. Seriously, he has. LOL! Herman loves art so he came with me and hung out with Philippe while I mingled with the girls
I love to wake up Peter and have breakfast together. I tried waking Frankie but he wouldn't and Herman forget about it. It's really the only day he gets to sleep in. The best way to wake up Peter is with "café con leche" (coffee and milk), "pastelitos," and "croquetas" (Cuban pastries).
I felt it was important to talk about the different things that were going on at that time in his life, his graduation party and his recent spending on his girlfriend Priscilla. I am happy that Peter is in love and in a relationship, because he has calmed down and is more focused on his life instead of being out with his friends. It is his "first" love, you know that puppy love. I get it. We have all been there, so I try to understand and relate.
I am enjoying the show, Alexia, and you are one of the reasons. I love the way you interact with your children. AND! Bless you for saying "no" to the DJ......ten grand?....two hours?.....there are housewives out west who wouldn't have blinked an eye and tossed over the dinero....not that there's anything wrong with it. Well, yes there is and you played it the right way......good on ya!
Sorry to hear about the threats. If they only knew a little what you know about business, they wouldn't take it so personally. But! Whackos abound....yikes!....hang in there!
You are what a well-rounded woman should be and you look amazing doing it by the way!
Kids are unique and parenting is not a one-size fits all (hint hint Larsa). Your approach to be more open with them seems to be effective - so continue doing what you're doing.
As for your work-out regimen: Please share... What are you doing? Your body is fab and I adore watching you on the show. You're a real breath of fresh air... smart, maternal, athletic, grounded, fun, and gorgeous!
You are in my top 3 this season.
F.Y.I. I like Larsa she means well but her mannerisms causes confusion due to the circle of people she affiliates herself with... (basketball wives like Christy... ooops correction ex-wives)
Hey - I was really liking you... I just saw the previews of next weeks show - the dead pig shot. Do you really think we want to see a live pig that you will be acting silly over its little dead self?? NO THANKS. I won't be watching a housewives show...for the first time?!? waaa. No dead animals Bravo! Bet this won't post.
just writing to say hi and let you know that you Adriana and marisol are my favorite hw i have ndot seeing episode 3 Iam looking forward to watch it
Love you Alexa! You are responsible with your money and you teach your children the value of money, unlike classless people like Larsa and Cristy who are always talking about wealth. But then again, you are far more mature and lady like than they will ever be. Stay that way :) Good luck with the show and God Bless you.
As an FYI - St. Thomas is a US territory and the call would have been the same cost as calling anywhere else in the US; hence, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
You are such a down to earth person, definitely the best housewife ever! You can totally tell that your family comes first and that you love spending time with your kids. I'll pray for Cristy too, cause she really needs it!
Alexia, you did the absolute right thing with Peter and the DJ issue. It is good to see a well-to-do mom not give everything to a child just because. some of the other Real Housewives' shows the parents do too much or give in too much. You seem to do doing a great job with your kids and you are kind to everyone around you. So sorry to hear people are being mean because of a misunderstanding. I think you are incredible! Best wishes to you and your family and God bless you all.
I've enjoyed watching you on every episode so far, but episode 3 is my favorite right now. I loved seeing you interacting with your son and the great relationship you have with him. I'm a mother of three myself, and my oldest is 16. Tough, tough age, but also a very important time to be not only a parent to that teen, but someone they feel comfortable and open enough to talk to.
Thanks for sharing that part of your life with all of us watching. I think it speaks volumes about who you are as a person and a mom.
I have to say I really like you. Your beautiful, well educated, successful, and most important very grounded. With all those attributes no wonder why you seem to be a good Mom!!
I guess you are the most level headed housewife on the show. I can see how uncomfortable you feel around some of those "ladies". I think Cristy and Larsa don't get it because there husbands are the ones who made the money and they didn't. Larsa is nowhere near as bad as Cristy, but you can already see a difference in her behavior from just episode 1 to episode 3. She better stop hanging with her so much or it'll get worse. You are very nice and understanding. Hopefully some of your kindness can rub off on a few of them. Good luck, god bless...
You are my second favorite aside from Elsa. I love the way you handle yourself as a business " woman of the century" as Elsa would say. And, more than anything, I admire they way you are committed to your family. From one Latina to another, show them how it's done chica!
I love the sunglasses you were wearing while speaking to Peter over breakfast about his graduation party and the ring he bought his girlfriend. Who makes them?
Alexia, you are such a down to earth, normal woman. It is refreshing. You seem to be teaching your children the right values and it is great that you are so involved with them. I agree that the DJ was a bad idea. Glad you can see it wasn't a great way to spend a dollar unlike Taylor on Beverly Hills...$50-60K for a 4 yr old b-day party. Thank goodness someone has common sense! Guess I will have to go back and read the comments from the previous episode because I missed something..threats at your place of business. Are ppl crazy? Obviously! Love you being on the show. You have class, are a strong, sensible business woman and Lord knows we need more of those! Blessings to you and your family. Hopefully the crazies will stay far away!
i love that you reminded peter that his money is your money! and i love you said no to the DJ! i recently got married and 10K was half my budget for the entire wedding.....for 150 guests! so 10K on a dj for a bunch of kids wld have driven me nuts!
u r totally my fave....loved the dress u wore to the gallery opening!
dear alexia just writing to say Hi you teach a lesson to larsa in the way you have to,teach the value of money on your children good luck
is your herman the one from BVK that offered the solution for private mgmt of gusman??? if so, THANK HIM!!! anything so that they don't shut down Gusman Center/Theater! I hope it works!!!
I work in Hialeah and yes I have to admit it, I do look up to "High Society" way of living & dressing, who wouldn't want to be like them?... A quien no le gusta lo bueno?... I completely understood your comment and I love your magazine!!
You are my absolute favorite to watch! You're down to earth and are honest - got to love a woman with confidence and a good head on her shoulders. Can't wait to watch the rest of this season!
Alexia, I think you are fantastic! You are stunning and seem to be well-rounded and grounded. You have a wonderful and beautiful family. Keep it up and stay the voice of reason!
Oh and I am not trying to be a smart ass here, really, but it is not Czechoslovakia anymore. The country had a peaceful civil war and is now two separate ones, the Czech Republic (where Prague is located) and Slovkia. Just wanted you to know :) Love watch you!
I have to be honest, it took a while to warm up to you but now you are one of my faves! It is hard to balance a career, kids, and personal life but it seems like you have it figured out for the most part! Good luck with everything!
You are my fav!!! You are beautiful and you have a beautiful family. I think your doing a great job with your sons, they are lucky to have a great mother like you!!
Alexia - I'm happy to see that you teach your children the value of the dollar. In other Housewives shows, a lot of the children get what they want...not even need. My problem with you is your son Peter is 17 years old and you treat him like he's five....cutting his pastries for him....really!!!! He can't cut his own food. In episode 1 you said he will need you for the rest of his life....i think he will too if you keep treating him this way. Let him grow up - he's going to be off to college soon and might be teased or bullied for his immature actions.
Alexia, I want to share something with you. I was watching you on TV, with my boyfriend, in the episode where you were talking to Adraina about the incident with the yelling on the phone by Adriana's fiancé. You had no make-up. At One point I paused the DVR on your face, and I asked my boyfriend " how old do you think she is"? And he said that you must be only 28 years old. True story. And by the way we watch everything in HD, so with that said, you look amazing! God bless.
Hello, Alexia! As you read this, I hope your day is going well... : )
I have so much respect for you, Alexia. You are a strong woman, and a GENUINE person. You are the sole reason I watch Miami Housewives...
I was a little shocked to read in your blog that you are being harrassed to some extent. I would like to tell you something a good friend told me when I went through something similar, which is this: you have a very happy life it seems, and sometimes other's wish they had what you do, or wish they were as HAPPY as you are. It's THEIR problem, not yours! Bottom line. Keep your chin up, girl! Xo
I enjoy watching the way you interact with your son. You're very honest, and direct with him, but at the same time, it seems he CAN be open with you, even coming clean on lying to you!... Let's face it, we don't see this from teenagers for the most part!
Credit should be given when credit is due... and IMHO, I think you get up everyday, and try to give it your best, just like the rest of us do. Just continue to be who you are, and everything else will fall into place...
Love, Balance, & Blessings, C
Alexia, You seem to have your head on straight. The only thing that bothers me about you is that you seem to be the type that will dislike any girl that comes into your sons' lives. Other than that you are o.k. in my book.
You are my absolutely favorite..what a pleasure to see such an accomplished, talented, and classy woman as yourself in this show...especially representing the Latino community, not just in Miami but in this country.
so far so good, miss Alexia..you are stunning and although my daughter is only five, I can for see similar issues with my daughter and a great bond as you &Peter do. Peter is blessed to have you and the many other gifts life has brought him& your Frankie, both very similar to my daughter, Isabela. Having the Malibu lifestyle, adorable clothes and endless toys..Our jobs to love them and keep them grounded is NEVER done. I have a feeling you will remain my favorite throughout the season...xoxo
My best friend's daughter is named Alexia :)
You have amazing common sense and a person I would want as a friend!
Oh my Gosh, even before this episode is over I am absolutely appalled that Bravo would show a slaughterhouse and then the aftermath for this pig. I have turned off my TV. Absolutely outrageous.
Get over it - it's just a pig. I bet you eat meat, use vitamins with animal products and wash your hair with shampoo that is tested on animals. I am sure some people were disturbed by it by these comments are becoming ridiculous. Wake up and smell the pigs - slaughter houses exist and it is not "outrageous" that they would be seen on television!
