Adriana's Most Important Role

Adriana was incredibly proud of her son during his piano recital.

In this season we lived through so many moments of laugher and drama. However, the best moment for me was performing the piano duet with my son at his annual recital. Whoever followed me during this season knows of my love of art and education, which encompasses my love for music as well. I also believe in educating by example -- my mother was a great example to me while I was growing up, making sure I got a well-rounded education. She enrolled me in piano lessons very early, and you can see a photo of my first piano recital below. Therefore I do the same with my son and felt so proud seeing him perform the beautiful classical piece by Schubert. It made me feel that I'm succeeding in my most important role -- that of being a mother.

Adriana.JPGThe healing ritual we performed in Bimini seemed silly at first, but it actually worked! It helped us open up and brought us all to tears as we told each other of our wish to let go of the past and the hurt and welcome love and hope instead into our futures. I really enjoyed spending time with all the girls and truly wish they all have their wishes fulfilled. I hope they all find their inner peace and that they know everything is going to be all right.

The whole experience was very humanizing to me and made me realize once more how much family is important to me. In fact, I lost my father a few weeks after the Bimini trip, and that made me feel very sad, very angry, very hurt, and throughout the grieving process I realized that life is so ephemeral -- we should really cherish our time with family and spend quality time with our friends as well. At the end of the day, we are just women, juggling many roles and trying to love and be loved in return. May 2013 bring you all lots of it!I'm grateful for the opportunity of having entertained you for the past couple months, and I hope you enjoyed this second season of The Real Housewives of Miami. What a season it was! If you miss us a lot, you can always find the theme song Feel the Rush on iTunes and; the song will for sure warm up any of your cold winter days. Play it out loud, sing along, dance to it and hopefully it will put a smile on your face! Also, I will be releasing the video and remix of my song on Christmas day.

Wishing all great holidays and a new year filled with peace and love!

Lea's Double Standards

Adriana explains why she was so surprised by Joanna and Lea's behavior.

I would like to start by saying that I tried my best to bond with Joanna and remain friendly after attending her bachorelette party and wedding. I truly was hoping for a budding friendship. All season long, she criticized me in her weekly blogs, criticized my wedding, and even then I took the high road and didn't engage in the low blows and continued hostility she has demonstrated towards me for a while now. However, I couldn’t stay quiet any longer when she started to attack my credibility. Enough is enough! I've learned that bullies like her will not stop the attack until you stand your ground. She showed me her true colors when she stated she wanted “to rip my head off.” Such aggressive behavior like that could no longer be ignored. Joanna is always stating that she is beautiful and because of that she thinks she has license to act UGLY!

Furthermore, I couldn't remain silent while she was attacking Lisa and being so cold to her and her struggle with infertility. Claiming that Lisa is a party girl and is always drinking is not the attitude of a friend. Joanna and Lisa had been friends and even had dinner together the night before and all was well between them, until Joanna decided to turn on Lisa... I was shocked, how can a friend blatantly attack her friend with such coldness?! She should not talk about things she knows nothing about!

Another shocker was to see Lea sitting there silently and not coming to Lisa's defense... She crucified me this season and did a complete character assassination of my person for not speaking up when Ana attacked her last year, so I was very surprised to see her do the exact same thing to her new bestie... Double standards, as usual!

In conclusion, don't judge others unless you have walked a mile in their shoes!
