Lea Says Be True to Yourself
Lea wishes some people would understand that not all attention is good attention.

I've always said that reality TV brings out the best and worst of people and I think this reunion perhaps personifies that.
I find it sad and desperate that some feel that all attention is good attention and that there are no boundaries, including criticizing the most innocent among us.
In the spirit of the holidays and the new year -- I am hoping everyone has had a great holiday and that all of your dreams for this year have come true and that all of your wishes for the coming year manifest themselves in miraculous ways and at miraculous speeds. And let's keep those who are suffering present in our minds and send them comforting thoughts.

On gosh! Ana is at it again! Any chance she gets, she makes a rude remark about you. It's so ridiculous! She's making herself look pitiful!
Oh my goodness, Lea, I don't know how you remained as calm and collected as you did during the reunion taping when Ana started in with the vicious attacks. I thought I saw all of the episodes, but I obviously missed something...something to prompt the ugly, ugly behavior Ana displayed. I agree with the a previous poster. Ana was so vicious, so mean-spirited that it was difficult to watch. I just kept thinking to myself how Ana could behave in such a way without thinking of what a rotten, terrible character she was displaying to her daughters. I was sad for Ana's daughters...if I had ever seen my mother behave that way....well, I would have been crushed to witness my mother behave that way...just crushed. Anyway, you remained dignified. Good for you!
Lea, I think you are awesome and one of my favorites. I love that you say how you feel and true to yourself.
I'm slinging body butter and sugar scrub out of the trunk of my car in Georgia. Hope I can grow up to wear 25 million dollar diamonds in my ears. Being self made or marrying a nice man with a gazillion dollars makes no difference to me!! :-)
I am cautiously excited about Reunion 2 tonight! Never seen Ana act so ugly, did I miss something? In any case, I love you Lea Black, and I love your jewelry also! I think you look wonderful, and read somewhere that you enjoyed using a "non surgical" face lift product, I will definitely be looking into that! I think your fascinating to watch, with lots of different personality twists, and I think you own them all! Again, love,love, love all your big chunky unique jewlery, they're as fascinating as you.

I like Lea overall. But if she is going to dish out insults (even with a smile or giggle), she needs to learn how to take it. Even after she was reprimanded last year for saying Marisol's husband was marrying her only for a green card. She took the same dig again this season.
Also, if Lea is such a great business woman, she has to know that constantly harping on Marisol's business faux pas at her charity event would hurt Marisol's business.
Sometimes the only way to get through to a mean girl (Lea), is to give her a taste of her own medicine.
I would love to watch you & Lisa of RHOBC together! It would make for some very funny TV. Forget the Ana situation don't know what happened there but eehhh....she does not define you and what you do.
I've watched most episodes this season and never saw Ana behave so mean spirited and vicious, the way she attacked Lea at the reunion was nasty and hard to watch, ugh. I always thought Ana was above all that jealous mean crap and had a level head on her shoulders. I hope she redeems herself!
Lea', I am excited to hear whats going to happen on the second reunion. I'm sure if you get hit again by nonsense you will handle yourself quite well.
I'm still not sure where Lea's fans heard Ana attacking Lea's son. I have read several comments here saying that he appeared "socially awkward" on camera and that most kids his age are a little awkward. So, after reading this I assume Lea's fans are thinking that of Lea's son and maybe that's where this started. Whatever the case, if you are going to bash someone, base it on what you heard, i.e., insults regarding age, work, etc. To say that Ana attacked an innocent child is way over the top. What a horrible thing to say about someone! Now, if I am wrong, and Ana really did attack her son, I wish that someone, anyone, could tell me where I can find this. And I'm sure I am not the only one that would like to know this information. Thanks!

Do stop with your pretense at being some kind of arbitre of truth. Fact is Ana is reprehensible for many reasons. I hardly need to confirm anything to you. I know what she said, how she said it and to whom. It was a well aimed comment. Truth is, Lea hardly reacted. You're making a tempest in a teapot all on your own. As if Ana could be vindicated by your pretense at innocence and facade of willful ignorance. Ana took a pot shot and you're bludgeoning the issue to death. Dog wiv a bone. Sure you aren't Ana?
elicat Ana did just say it on the reunion part 1 during an argument with Lea, something along the lines of, at least my child isn't socially awkward, therefore implying that Lea's child was.

No one really knows if she was implying that Lea's son was socially awkward. My point was to simply just stick to the facts, that's all.
nadine26 What she said word for word is "I raised two daughters who are not socially awkward." No where did Ana say Lea's son is socially awkward. People are putting words in her mouth.
elicat Fact is, your singleminded obsession is pushing even those of critical of Lea more towards her side and case. Ana's reputation can't possibly be ruined by one single comment. It's the totality of her comments and behaviours that have landed her in the mucl of public opinion. Face it, it's a losing battle. There's a point where your valiant efforts are merely foolish.

I'm not saying her reputation will be ruined; in fact I believe her reputation will be just fine. I'm just saying to be accused of attacking a young child, in my book, is inexcusable. And I would hate to have people accusing me of that if it wasn't true. Being a parent myself, it's just something I feel strongly about.

@elicat , i believe that got started or why people took it that way was when Ana stated that she has raised 2 beautiful girls who wasnt socially awkward. She was speaking to Lea when she said it.

She did attack her son. She said" I've raised two children who are not socially ackward" (with the facial expression to accompany the comment).
There is NEVER a reson to bring anyone's child into an adult situation. Besides that, she was just NASTY at the reunion.
Just watched the reunion part 1...Ana's "socially awkward" comment was completely disgusting! How dare someone pick on a kid. That revealed all about her heart.
You are a classy lady with a brain. The others, not so much. I see that ageism is alive rearing its ugly head in Miami. I appreciate all the work you do for your charities. My only criticism is that you maligned Marysol's business. That should have been done in private.
Looking forward to the next reunion. Love how you handle yourself when people try and get you down. Such class. I hope you are on the next season, but wouldn't blame you if you decline.

Every woman at the reunion was wearing diamonds, so the blood diamond comment would apply to all of them. And besides, how do you know where the diamonds came from in order to allege they were blood diamonds?
pianogal6 Really? You know the very history of the diamonds worn by Lea? You know that they were mined/exported illegally through a corrupt industry agent in the African diamond industry? Wow, that's amazing.... NOT! You have no clue where or how or by whom Lea's diamonds were produced, so put a sock in it. AND, please, you judge Lea's manners by sharing the diamond's worth when you have your own poor manners to worry about with the false accusations.
People keep saying you can dish it out but can't take it. You clearly can handle or take anything that is thrown at you. You are sharp, witty (which some don't get) and confident.
The jealousy coming out even from the viewers blows me away. Keep up the great work and don't pay attention to the negativity or people that don't have a clue. Oh...I know you won't, you are why to smart to let the little things in life get in the way. Keep focussed and to h-ll with what others think.
I didn't really know what to think of you during the show, but I am on your side when it comes to whatever the heck this is with Ana. She behaved like an animal and kept interrupting your conversation with Marysol. Not to mention the attacks on your age...that was uncalled for. She's not that far behind you and you look stunning for your age, so don't mind her. Ana is clearly bitter and I so wish you would expose the truth on her!
Lea - Thank you for taking a stance against Ana. Ana is a beautiful woman but she comes across a bitter. Ana also has an opinion about everyone's situation when this is her first year on TV.
Which brings me to my next point - you put Ana in her place everytime she stepped out. I love watching you stand up for yourself. Keep it going! '
Last - I'm proud that everything you wore on television this season made since, you actually looked beautiful and graceful. Instead of looking like you got dressed in the dark.
Regardless of if you like Ana or not, her position has not changed regarding Lea through the season. You can read her blogs if you disagree. Her first question is "Why does everyone work so hard at not offending Lea and allow her to take shots at them?" In other words "Who is Lea Black" What has she done to earn this reverent status? In Ana's mind it is an honor paid for by access to wealth and not anything that Lea has championed on her own. (Sidebar: Does this make her charity work any less worthy? No. But let's be honest. Hosting and planning a gala for the rich and famous is probably a bit more fun then serving at a soup kitchen several times a year).
Her second point is that people who have "status" and therefore influence over others should be mindful of what they say and do to others. If Lea bashes Marysol's business then some of her "followers" may follow suit. Either because they trust her judgement or because they are afraid to cross her. If Marysol messed up the pro bono job that she was doing for Lea, which seems to be under debate, then not asking her to do it again would seem sufficient. However, Lea has decided to make an issue of it and that is harmful to Maryisol"s business. Example: If someone volunteers to cater your event for free but then you do not like the food, Do you go around and tell everyone how horrible the food was or do you just decide that next time you will use someone else? Being kind and appeciating someones efforts, even if it doesn't work out the way you would have liked, is another way of being charitiable.

Well said!! But you know Lea's "fans" are going to be very upset at this. And again, they will probably bring up what they seem to believe, that Ana attacked Lea's son!! Which we both know, did not happen.
No we all know she did attack Lea's son... we ALL heard it. I have to admit I was surprised that Lea didn't say anything after Ana called her son socailly ackward. But don't get it twisted we all heard what we heard.

I'm not getting anything "twisted". I have asked several times to show me where Ana said this or at least tell me what part of the reunion this was said. Again, you say "we ALL heard it", but then no one seems to know where they heard it. Just seems strange to me. Everytime I ask, the only response I get is that "we ALL heard it." Can you give me anything else to go on? Doubtful!

My Dear, people have explained to you thuroughly and explicitly what happend, but you obviously do not want to accept it. Either you don't hear well or you don't comprehend well. So just stick with your version of the truth if it makes you feel well.
WatchWhatHappens elicat Chelle01 Hulali got it right she never mentioned Lea's son. Some people on this blog choose to "get it twisted" and put words in Ana's mouth. It's unfortunate and an embarrassment to the human race.
gcvlmv Umm, Ana wrote all of the blogs after the season was done filming. To me it seems like Ana is fighting Marysol's battles once again.
To see Ana act so callously and maliciously toward Lea at the reunion was a real disappointment for me, because I like Ana generally. But there's no excuse for how rudely she was attacking Lea.
Ana, how dare you make mean-spirited geriatric remarks about Lea when you (if not close to) look like you are of the same generation. In any event, Lea is beautiful, classy and wise. I speculate that you are jealous and wish you had a modicum of her poise, Also, remember when you attempt to assault Lea, you are going after a large number of your viewers
