The Consequences Charity's Importance

Lea explains why she puts so much of her time and energy into this cause.

Things That Matter

After all the conflict, drama, fun, fodder, and the other craziness that has been part of this season, to me there are certain things that really matter. Things that when all else happens keep us grounded and exemplify our priorities and define who we are. Things that matter most.

My personal priorities:

My family being healthy and together.

The love I have for my pets and the unconditional love they give us. Leroy, the love of my life, makes an unfortunate cameo in this episode and I just can't discuss it further, or at least I can't for now.

The Consequences Charity -- a charity that because of the generosity of so many has been helping troubled teens for almost twenty years. I feel it’s been a privilege and blessing that I've been able to put so much of my time and resources into charitable causes over the years. I believe in second chances, and this is a cause that offers that to so many misguided teens. As a result, they stay off the streets, out of trouble, and in school and go on to higher education. They are able to live a life that they perhaps didn't even know existed and never dreamed possible. Making the world better, one child at a time.We are all connected; I believe there is a universal mind and all of the energy in the universe is part of it. You met Norman Baker, who takes the belief in the universal mind to a level many wouldn't believe or agree with. He taps into it. He has a pure soul and spends all the hours in the day helping people and helping people help themselves. Because he is financially set in life, he feels it is his responsibility to enlighten people with all his free time. I hope you enjoyed his blessings.

No Negative Energy for Lea

I can't end our discussion without acknowledging the horrible disaster of Superstorm Sandy. We in Florida probably know and understand more than most how dangerous and destructive these storms are. My heart goes out to all of those suffering and all of those who have to rebuild their lives and their homes. As for the other stuff, well, I guess it matters too, but these won't be the things we hold dear as we leave this planet and join the universal mind. The things we will take with us are the things that brought us the most love, peace, and joy.

I try to live my life as everything that I do really does matter.

Things to think about this week:

Is charity a social responsibility?

Is it possible to connect with a higher spiritual being?

Who are we in the matter of our lives and others’ lives?

What would the world be like if everyone lived their life like every single thing they do matters?

Do we give thanks and appreciate the blessings of our lives?

Can we live in two worlds at once? A higher spiritual life and a life engaged in the craziness of our daily lives and learn from one and apply it to the other?

What is our unique purpose in the world?Spread the love and keep the peace and #don't deal with stupid.

By the way, many of you asked about the handbag I wore at the premiere, it’s my personal design at www.leablackhandbags.com. And if you watched Watch What Happens Live, callers mentioned my face looked “refreshed.”  For all my beauty secrets, go to www.suddenyouth.com. Enjoy!
