We are all connected; I believe there is a universal mind and all of the energy in the universe is part of it. You met Norman Baker, who takes the belief in the universal mind to a level many wouldn't believe or agree with. He taps into it. He has a pure soul and spends all the hours in the day helping people and helping people help themselves. Because he is financially set in life, he feels it is his responsibility to enlighten people with all his free time. I hope you enjoyed his blessings.
I can't end our discussion without acknowledging the horrible disaster of Superstorm Sandy. We in Florida probably know and understand more than most how dangerous and destructive these storms are. My heart goes out to all of those suffering and all of those who have to rebuild their lives and their homes.
Lea - So very sorry about Leroy - we love our animals like our children, the service for Leroy was so touching - our thoughts are with you. You are so level minded and fun to watch! Maybe during Alexia's get together, you could've told the girls to actually let Karent talk - I felt so bad for her, everyone is trashing her and not letting her talk. The poor girl was thrown under the bus. Maybe someone needs to teach these ladies when you are having an open forum to be quiet while another one speaks - only way to get the truth . . . .you are the voice of reason, maybe you could get this through to them!
Dear Lea, I just say the episode when Leroy had passed. I am so sorry for your loss I had a dog for 17 years so I know how you feel she was like my child.. Something that helped me was a poen called "the Rainbow Bridge" google it (I am sure you already have) it will help. You are a true lady and a complete hoot!! Love ya
Thank you for your sense of humor! I hope some of the other ladies can absorb it. You have a classic style with fun jems. I love how your son taught your housekeeper how to swim- that was so sweet and touching!
Dear Lea--I look at you as the voice of reason in a show replete with high anxiety. Norman was a refreshing addition to try to bring calm to a volatile situation. Unfortunately the person needing the most help, Adrianna never showed up. This cast member is unmercifully cruel in her verbal and physical attacks against Joanna. They both could benefit from anger management and conflict resolution intervention. Wishing you continued personal and professional success. Hoping Leroy is better. My heart goes out to you for having to film during and after this trauma. You are the epitome of grace and style.
I admire Lea very much...her charity is definitely needed and her effort is immense. However, I absolutely do not understand the "Norman" effect. This little strange person chants vowels. You are not in a speech therapy class. You can get a chime out of any piece of crystal that you have; it's part of it's structure to behave that way.Elsa seems more a bit of "the real deal".Forget this faker. sorry, and best of luck with your charities....
Queen Bee.... you deserve all the respect!!! I am sorry no one listens to you and learns from you..... Thank you for honesty and non judgemental and non predudice attitude!!!
Lea wow... this time around I got the opportunity to experience a real nice side to you... I love your sarcastic personality... Too bad people take it the wrong way... that is just nutty.
Marisol is so Hyper sensitive. ;)
So looking forward to see what's in store for tonights episode!! Hope we get to see your beautiful home again!!!
We are having a party at my house tomorrow night. About 15 of my girlfriends are coming over to watch you. Is there anyway we could get a signed picture of you. We will pay expenses. We all love you. I have everyone in my office (I work for a large insurance company) watching the MHW's. Our favorite HW show.
During the first year you admitted to "adopting" Adrienna when she was homeless and living in an at studio with her young son. You brought her into your social circle of friends where she met her fiance and then you convinced BRAVO to include her as one of the Housewives, thereby securing a nice income for her as well. Adrianna is a pet project that progressed quite nicely. So you must be absolutely horrified that the woman that you have promoting for so long, has the stupidity to assault another cast mate on TV for the world to see over and over again, not to mention the possibilty of criminal charges.
I really think it was your idea for her to mitigate the damage to her public image by immediately telling everyone that punching Joanna in the face was self defense and blogging about Hurricane Sandy after the show aired. Nice try, but Adrienna just didn't have the ability to make it all seem sincere or believable.
I think your charitable contributions are magnificent, but sometimes you just can't make a silk purse out of sow's ear!
@Hulali I disagree entirely! Adrianna was the victim of a bygomist husband. So if her Gallery provided shelter for her and her boy, at least she had a roof over her head until she could make other arrangements. We, as women, must do what we have to do to survive and care for our children when we make ourselves venerable to a man who is not to be trusted. Lea really did help Adrianna a lot and they are great friends and if Lea had seen the fight she would know the truth. Lea knew what a hot head Joanna was that night anyway. I think that Lea should stand behind Adrianna in this feud between her and Joanna, because Joanna was wrong, to get into it with A.
We, as women should NEVER condone physical violence! I'm not saying that Lea was at fault for helping her out, just that Adrianna should have learned some manners by now so as to not embarass herself and her good friend by physically attacking another woman on TV. Joanna was definately irritating but no one ever deserves to be hit. And I'm sure Lea will try to stand behind Adrianna because they are friends, but that does not excuse her violent behavoir or make it acceptable.
It looked like a punch to me. But then again the camera angle really doesn't show exactly what it was.
Not that it erally matters whether it was a punch or a slap to the face,,, but I did rewatch the video very carefully and it was a forward and upward strike to the face that was hard enough to knock her head back. It was a punch. A slap is a lateral strike and would have made her head turn to the side.
We will have to agree to disagree on tbis one
You need to learn to filter your cruel humor with the other housewives. You kind of remind me of Leona Helmsley.
You're an idiot! Mrs. Black does so much for her community and evidentially you don't get her sense of humor---- look up the word "cruel" in your dictionary! Jealously is so ugly!
Happy-Housewife What????? You don't make sense.....you need to filter your mean remarks....I'm not an idiot .....just stating my opinions. Are you really a "happy housewife" with that attitude?????
@polishmom quit getting so worked up... this is great TV drama! Enjoy it for what it is and relax!
Kudos to Lea Black for her commitment to reaching out and helping others who might otherwise go under the radar and lead lives of self destruction. This lady has it more together than the rest of the cast of characters she is surrounded by and is truly a Real Housewife, married, a mom, with a house, a career and who gives of herself - whats with the rest of them?????????? I say they should have a group therapy session on why the rest can't raise a normal, respectful child, keep a marriage or relationship in good stead, give back to the community at large rather than shop and bitch all the way to and from the mall and about the men and other woman in their lives.
Is this a TV show or a commercial for Lea's products. She is a very smart businesswoman, but I am getting sick of all the advertising.
@Pebble She only answers what others ask. I for one love her products. You don't have to purchase, it is up to you.
So many blogs questioning your motivation in hosting the charity! Such cynicism at a time when generous giving is needed on numerous fronts. In fact, those who decry public assistance should be leading the charge to fill the shoes of government assistance. Alas, this is so rarely the case. So, I say, who bloody well cares as long as the funds reach their targets! Gift horses, not looking... saying thanks. C'mon people.
I love your priorities. Family first (of course), and helping others comes next! You are amazing. People who don't know you simply can't understand what a good person you are. You are the only reason I watch the show! Well . . . you and Mama Elsa!! (She's a hoot!!)
Lea, you are the reason I watch the show. You're a riot. I do question your affiliations, though - they seem to be drama queens and kings, all of them, including (and especially) the drag queen. But you have a good heart and a cheerful personality. More [wealthy] people should donate to good causes, for which you raise awareness and money. How about an event for the victims of Sandy?...
Bravo TV should implement a no violence policy across the board where any person who physically assaults another cast member, on camera, does not get to come back the following season. All these supposed "society" women fighting, pulling hair, choking, scratching each other is debasing to people and societies everywhere.
Lea, not only are you from Texas (which I love) but you have an amazing personality to boot!! Why can’t the show focus more on you, and say, LEROY!! I hope he feels better, I would much rather watch him than most of the other girls.
Lea, I am head over heels in love with all the style products you put out. That oversized clutch on the red carpet was to die for – absolutely gorgeous. I’m sure I could fit a Chihuahua in there! lol
Your purse is absolutely gorgeous. I love that you used those gorgeous crystals all around it. It makes a beautiful statement and will surely be in my closet shortly (hopefully!)
Since I haven’t made my husband watch the show with me, I am going to make him contribute to my fund currently going for your new purse!! Anyone wanna help?? :P
Your style is absolutely impeccable, Lea. You are definitely one of the best dressed girls on the show and you make sure everyone knows not to mess with you. I love that in your personality.
I for one would absolutely love to see Lea get in a fight (only if she wouldn’t get hurt)! I bet that she would beat everyone up in a second, haha. She just has this hidden passive aggressiveness to her.
Lea, you are the “Mayor of Miami” and for a good reason…Look at how much you give back! No matter if the cameras are rolling or not, you never cease to make sure that at least some of your funds are going to those less fortunate. Marvelous.
Lea, I wonder if you would be the same person without your assets. Maybe you would turn a little nastier and perhaps bitter from age. What is your true personality?
@RascalWitchmourner I believe we have her true personality. I think if she didn't have $, she would still be helping people less fortunate. Regardless. People are who they are. Some people have $ and are selfish.
I don’t have enough extra money to donate to different charities, but whenever I have a little something extra I always give it to the Cancer Society. That disease needs to stop existing.
What a beautiful set of friends and family you have…everyone I see in your life is absolutely gorgeous – did you mean for it to be like that or is that just how all rich people are..?
@RagnarokJester My feeling is that not all her friends are beautiful or rich. It just seems that way on the show. I know someone that knows her personally and she treats everyone respectfully. She said she is as beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
I want to believe that you are a marvelous person but no one can tell what a person is really like on a television show..and although this blog does give perspective – who is to say that it is even you typing all the blog posts out?
@RaeBlatter Lea is a writer as well as a giving person. If you read other articles that she wirtes you would know that she does her own blogs.
I think it takes a certain type of person to truly understand the sense of humor that Lea has…it is not for everyone, that’s for sure.
@PenelopeFeltz It may not be for everyone, but we all need some humor in our life. I know I certainly do. I look forward to the show every week just to see what Lea is up to now.
I personally like that Lea swears…cussing may not be classy, but it can be funny and I feel like it expresses our emotions a heck of a lot better than just using large words for the sake of them.
It’s true that not everyone gets your personality or truly understands where you are coming from but don’t worry – a special few of us see EXACTLY where you are coming from. LOL and we love it!
