Daysy's Big News!

Lisa shares Daysy's Cinderella story (and some before and after pics).

This interesting journey has finally reached its end for now. I’ve grown so much from this whole experience. I have become a better, stronger person and have learned so much as a result.

We originally were going to go to the famous healing hole in Bimini, but since the weather did not agree, Marysol suggested we cleanse ourselves of our problems and misfortunes with fresh flowers in the ocean. Although I felt it was silly and would not be as beneficial as the actually Bimini healing hole, I went with it. Truthfully I just wanted to get it over with. Being so open with all the women there felt uncomfortable, since not all of us are or were that close at the time. The healing ceremony did not heal Joanna and Adriana's relationship like Adriana acknowledged. Adriana did open her heart to setting a date with Fredric. Marysol hoped to get the strength to move on from a marriage that just didn't work, Ana from whom I was surprised to see so much emotion, also made up her mind that it was time to finally sign the divorce papers and begin the new chapter in her life after being married for 23 years. Alexia wished for strength and a speedy full recovery for her son. Joanna realized she could not live without Romain and that she indeed wants to marry him. Lea wished us all well. I spoke for Karent because she couldn't be there and deserved to be part of the ceremony. I of course hoped to rid of whatever is holding Lenny and I back from moving forward in our marriage and starting a family. Although I felt a little silly, it was touching and symbolic of our experiences throughout the season.

The day has finally come for Daysy to receive the plastic surgery she has been wanting for years. She asked that I stay by her side, because she felt more comfortable. It was a huge thrill for me, since I finally got to see my husband at his workplace being the talented surgeon that he is. Strangely it kind of turned me on. LOL! Seeing this scene was very nostalgic for Lenny, because it brought back memories of the original office in which he started his practice 14 years ago. With years of excellence and dedication, he was able to build his very own state of the art new beautiful plastic surgery center -- his ultimate dream come true.

My stomach isn't as weak as I thought it would be watching Daysy’s surgery. I literally saw her insides, and it was intense. My husband does these procedures with such ease; it was if he was playing a violin. He is a true master at his craft, the Picasso of plastic surgery.

Daysy was completely out of it afterwards. I've never seen her act like that, it was hilarious! I decided I would be the one to take care of Daysy after her surgery, because she has done so much for me over the years, I felt it was the right thing to do. For the record I did not go shopping after I put Daisy to rest at our home. It was a funny scene though.

I told everyone I had some big news to reveal and here it is. Daysy has been taking better care of herself since her surgery. She has grown her cleaning business to where she does not have to clean herself. She had a sort of Cinderella story happen to her. A successful client of hers, whom she used to clean for, became very interested in Daysy, especially after seeing her on the show. I guess my comment to Daysy about every man’s fantasy of having an affair with his housekeeper struck a chord. He pursued her, and currently she has moved into that very home she worked in as his housekeeper with her daughter. She feels more confident and life is simply great for her right now! I am so happy for her and wish her all the best. I still use her services, although with another person, and I am quite satisfied. I advocate growth for everyone one around me and wish nothing more for the people I care about. Daysy and I continue to be friends, and I hope we always remain this way. Check out Daysy’s before and after pics below.

The scene between Lenny and I was a very tough scene to watch, because there are two things that have happened since. The first was the cycle that we did right after unfortunately failed, as did a third cycle after that one. We however have sought further professional advice and will be doing another cycle with a few modifications in hopes the recipe will give us the outcome we hope for. I will continue to do acupuncture and be as healthy as possible in the meantime. The second is about our beloved boxer, Puffy. If you have been following me on Twitter and reading my blogs, you will know our little boy in the scene succumbed to a brain tumor and died on November 20th 2012 while being held in our arms. He was like our son, so this was incredibly hard to watch. He seemed so happy, beautiful, and full of life. R.I.P. my sweet boy! He is now on a rainbow bridge waiting for the day we will be reunited.

We spoke about the plans for our Star Island home. Little did we know our plans to demolish and rebuild the home would be so controversial. In spite of the building crumbling and being situated 30 inches below flood level, a group of preservationists who have never been inside the home to see just how bad it is are trying to fight us on it. Over 20 pre-1942 homes have been demolished just this year, but they have chosen to make an example out of us. Fortunately the laws of Miami Beach protect homeowners like us, but it just seems underhanded how these people are trying to change the laws retro-actively. I will keep everybody posted on our progress

Thank you to all of those who have supported me throughout this journey and motivated and inspired me. I appreciate all the advice, messages, constructive criticism, and praise. Without all of you we would not be here, and I hope I have touched one of you in one way or another. I hope all of your dreams and wishes come true in the New Year and may 2013 grant many blessings to all of you! Please keep in touch with me on my website, where I promise to update you on my life. I apologize for not blogging all that much on there, but they will be more frequent!

Hoping to Move Forward with Lea

Marysol shares what she hopes will come out of the reunion.

For me the reunion is a forum to hash things out and engage in verbal mud wrestling and hopefully come out cleansed from the tension and disagreements. I would like to make it clear that I do not hate anyone; I am not a person that likes to live in anger as it only makes you miserable and takes away from the precious moments of our lives. It is no secret that I have spent a couple of years being accused of lying by Lea when we do not see eye to eye on something. It is very frustrating to have issues with someone and always end up at the same place of “her word against mine.”

Unfortunately, my father this year has also had a rapid decline in his health and has spent the better part of the past few months in and out of the hospital. While dad was in the hospital with nothing else to do besides sleep, read, and watch TV he watched every episode of RHOM. He was very upset when he saw Lea saying I was lying when I said she didn’t call, write, or send flowers to mom for 8 weeks. He called me and said to figure out a way to video tape me and put it on that show of yours because I’ve had enough of the lies. My father was by mother’s side every day from the moment she went into the hospital to the day she came home (2 months later). He saw everyone who passed by, saw every flower and card that was sent etc. I truly was uncomfortable videotaping him in a hospital setting, but I was leaving for the reunion and he called relentlessly several times a day insisting I let him speak his mind for the cameras. If you thought Mama Elsa was tough, guess who she learned it from, that’s right, her husband of 52 years, Donald Patton. You never met anyone more ornery, stubborn, or tough, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world.

I have said my peace, which is what I went to the reunion to do. I have moved forward and forgive those who have hurt me and I forgive myself for those I may have hurt. I truly want to move forward to a better place with Lea to the best of our ability. We may never be best friends, but I’d like to think we can at least be in the same room, be cordial, and maybe even share a laugh someday.

It has been a fun season with the ladies and it provided a great distraction from the personal emotional struggles I was going through with my parents’ declining health.  I hope you enjoyed the season, thank you for all of your support and best wishes for my mother as that has been the greatest gift the show has brought us.
